This disc is so straight with a bit of turn. I bag two of my favorite run of Buzzz SS, (Paige Shue 2018) one being very understable and one being pretty straight. I always throw this disc when I need a short or right turning shot in the woods. It goes so far for a midrange. Far superior to the other two Buzzz variations.

I was sent a max weight 180g+ Buzzz SS. Released on hyzer it flips to flat and flies dead straight. I already had a beat in buzzz and was hoping it had a little more turn. Additionally, it does not glide as well and due to the more domey shape it can be a struggle to get a clean release compared to the buzzz.

I got the Buzz SS in Z plastic and it flies really straight for me.  Throwing it hard with my novice arm it will get a slight turn and go really straight with not much fade.  Thrown hard it does not turn all the way over.  Its like a beat in Buzz to me.  4 stars because I do not currently have it in the bag.  The color I got seemed to get lost, so I have been using a brighter Mako3.

I found the buzzz ss to be quite different from the buzzz. The ss has more of a rounded feel and didn't release as clean for me surprisingly. The glide on it is also significantly higher. I had trouble keeping it nice and low on a lot of throws. As far as speed and fade though, it is similar to a buzzz. I was hoping for more under stability, but it just seemed like a glidier buzzz. I may have bought an odd run of it but I couldn't really get into it compared to the buzzz...

I found a Z-line Buzzz SS (weight unknown) and threw it on a few holes before texting the telephone number written on it to return to its owner. There was not really anything wrong with it but flew almost exactly like my 177 gram ESP Buzzz, which was only a couple months old at the time. The Buzzz is a great disc so anything that flies almost exactly like one has to be pretty good. But I was expecting there to be enough of a difference in stability to notice and there was not. Maybe Z-line plastic is naturally 1 unit of fade higher than ESP and I might have noticed a difference if both discs were the same plastic. Anyways, the Buzzz SS is fine but also seems unnecessary if you already have a Buzzz.

I hve never been so dissappointed in a dsic, one of the worst mids I have evr thrown. I figured I would try it since all I can ever find the original Buzz in is Discrafts horrendous Z plastic. This disc didnt even entertain the idea of going straight and it certainly was not going to turn. This thing will be going to Play it Again Sports.

Feels like a buzzz, flies like a leopard. This is a great straight flyer for beginners and a great hyzer flip disc for bigger arms. Seems like it has a touch more glide than a regular buzzz.

I like this disc for straight uphill shots, low steady woods turnovers, and hyzer flips.

I am a big Buzzz thrower so I thought I'd test out some other Buzzz molds. I picked one of these up because I wanted something in between a Buzzz(pretty stable) and my Meteor, so something in that neutral to slight turn disc. Figured a description of a beat up Buzzz would fit perfectly for what I was wanting. Picked one up and it has quickly developed into one of the most versatile discs in my bag. For beginners/intermediate players it is a nice neutral disc out of the box, and for more experienced players you can get a nice turnover disc. For me this disc is what I love for that dead straight shot that I can get after it on the drive and not have to worry about turning it over. One of my favorite things about this disc though is it has became one of my favorite forehand discs. I don't know why but personally I have never been a big fan of forehanding my regular Buzzz. This disc however has been great asset to my forhand game. It flies dead straight to a slight fade towards the last bit of its flight. Also it has been a weirdly consistent forehand roller disc for me when scrambling along the fairway. Overall I love this disc, and would definitely recommend it for people looking for that disc that flies dead straight.

Edited Review: After using it for a few rounds I have an updated review- I have found that the disc with higher power (over 280 feet) on a backhand flips to the right before fading back to the left. It ends with a consistent left fade at the end. I was hoping it would fly lazer straight and land in the middle or barely right, but it's got a consistent fade at the end.

I got one of these just for fun, and I can safely say I don't see the hype. Sure, it flies fairly straight, but my beat in Opto-line claymore does the exact same thing the Buzzz SS does. (Plus, the Z-line plastic isn't one of my favorite things).

Found this disc on the green of a course i was alone at, so i bagged it. It flies more reliably than my beat-in X-line Buzzz i had at the time so it stayed. Nowadays i use it as one of my putters in practice. During rounds I'll pull it out almost anytime I'm doing a "patent pending" putt anything inside 100 feet. I dont know if its normal to have a go to patent pending disc but it seems to be my most accurate disc from that stance and i use that stance quite a bit honestly. Its also good for upshots, I'll give it a really light hyzerflip flick and watch it slowly glide right where i was aiming it. I keep it in one of the putter slots of my bag and it'll probably be staying there for the forseeable future. Really good disc

The buzzz ss is a great compliment to the trusty buzzz.  The rim feels slightly different, and the mold feels incredibly comfortable.  The disc itself is about as versatile as its more stable counterpart.  It works wonderfully for hyzerflip tunnelshots, big turnovers, and touch forehands.  Discraft certainly has a plethora of understable midranges to choose from, and the buzzz ss would not be a bad choice whatsoever.

I would recommend this midrange to every beginner out there to be their stepping stone to getting into other midranges. This disc will hold any line you put it on and is great for distance. Once you work up the arm speed a little you and shape shots better with it and fully utilize the discs numbers and use that -2 turn. I feel like once players start hitting that advanced level and higher the disc becomes a little too flippy and not as practical.

For starters, I am not really a Discraft guy. Just something about the company rubs me the wrong way. Maybe it's that they seem to bully the sport by taking all of the best players and offering deals they can't refuse, even when it means ending their contracts 2 years early (cough cough, Paige Pierce). Anyway....

I won a tournament that was sponsored by Discraft and was able to purchase a few discs with my earnings. I got the Buzzz, Buzzz OS, and Buzzz SS. What I was hoping for with the SS version was a mid-range that I could trust to go right (RHBH) when thrown with some power, and it does that for me. It just doesn't do it quite as much as I had hoped. It is a good disc that I definitely see myself utilizing when I need some shot shaping, but not one that I would use on every round like I will my Buzzz OS.

All in all, it's a solid disc that has a purpose in my bag, but I am still left looking for that mid-range that I can trust to be just a bit more understable.

The Buzzz is an often suggested disc for obvious reasons. It's very beginner friendly and allows for a new player to get a good feel for what a little distance can feel like. You don't need crazy arm speed to throw it, and it'll treat you right with that nice slight fade at the end. Great disc.

A good compliment to the Buzzz. I have a 174g Buzzz SS in Z plastic. This disc has been in and out of my bag for the past 2 years. In the end it won out over the DD Evidence. I found the Buzzz SS to be a little more predictable and got the negative turn that I wanted. I don't throw this disc a lot. But there are those specific shots that you need a disc like this in wooded courses. I can get this disc to fly really straight, an S curve or a slight anhyzer fade. So it is very versatile in that manner. I think this disc is very beginner and Intermediate friendly, but Advanced players can also find it to be very useful in certain situations.

The Buzzz SS is another neutral to understable midrange from Discraft. It is a disc that you can really play with the release angle to get a variety of different types of shots. It feels like a Buzzz in hand and if you throw the original Buzzz, this disc will feel good to you. I didn't click with this disc, as I bag Comets that can do similar things, but if you are looking for a less stable compliment to your Buzzz, you really can't go wrong here.

Picked up an Elite Z Buzzz SS a while back but recently took it out of my bag. It wasn't as flippy as I thought it'd be and I didn't feel like taking the time to beat it in when I have other discs that already fill that spot. Still a solid disc, I just don't bag one anymore.

Bought this disc in hopes that it was going to be fairly straight when I was first starting out. Now when I throw it, it tends to turn a bit if I crank on it. However, its a gret feeling disc, and still in my bag. I tend to throw a regular Buzz more now as the SS turns a bit too mcuh. Love this disc though, and I highly recommend it for all players.

The disc is comfortable in the hand, not too much of a dome, and flies predictably. Get the disc and work with it. You wont be sorry.

Very good for beginners who need a disc that can go straight at lower arm speeds!  This was one of my first midrange discs and I could count on it going straight every time.  As I got better and my technique/speed improved, I could start to get the disc to fade back to the right with a little turnover if I put some juice on my throw.  Then, if I eased back up, flies straight!

I also like the Elite Z plastic, feels good in the hand and really holds up to tree hits.

Great beginner disc that was pretty easy for me to master and by master i just mean figuring out what shots i can make with it. If i have a straight shot 200 to 250 ft ft to the basket this disc reliably gets me close enough for an easy putt. I highly recommend it for beginners, i don't think it will be leaving my back any time soon.

For lower arm speeds this disc is very straight and controllable for backhand and forehand.  This was one of my first discs I got because someone said it was easy for beginners to throw and I have loved it from day one and still use it every round.  As long as I don't try to put too much power into it I feel I can make Buzz do any shot I want.

Edit: 3 years in now and this is the only disc I still have from my original set in the bag. The Buzzz SS is a straight disc for beginners and It's a very controllable slight turnover disc or hyzerflip disc for more experienced players. Truly one of the best midranges in the game.

This is a point and shoot disc. It will turn over with a lot of power, but it is generally fairly straight. It is an understable Buzzz in all it's glory. I use it mostly for standstill backhand shots, and I got my 2nd ace with it on a 220 foot hole, it flew straight the whole way. It's an excellent approach disc. Doesn't handle a lot of power well, but less than full power it is fantastic.

While it might not see a ton of mainstream Pro love the Buzzz SS is really a top notch disc. It has a comfortable shaped rim with no bead and the shape of this disc typically has a very flat top. The SS for those unfamiliar means Super Straight, not super stable (as i misguidedly thought when i first picked one up long ago) and that moniker is very accurate. My experience with this disc was a max weight Elite Z.

The Buzzz SS is a disc that ignores flight numbers and is really hard to classify. Out of the box it flies like a seasoned Buzzz very, very straight only showing its high speed turn under full power. It has mystifyingly good glide but manages to feel controllable. The Buzzz SS is very flexible and out of the box will work pretty much any line you want it on as it breaks in it becomes a scalpel in the woods giving you effortless hyzerflips. I wouldn't go as far as to call this a flippy midrange though as it's flight when new is honestly pretty stable.

The Buzzz SS works well in tail winds, but not quite as well at head and crosswinds.

The Buzzz SS is incredibly beginner friendly in the lower weights and the high durability of the Elite Z plastic means it can withstand the pummeling a newer player would place on a disc like this. I wish it came in some of the more grippy plastics though.

Overall, the Buzzz SS is an excellent midrange. I unfortunately lost mine very early on but revisited it when my brother picked one up I currently utilize a meteor for a shot similar to what this disc provides but with the meteor going OOP i might consider grabbing one of these again. It's ability to offer effortless distance and extremely forgiving nature are only second to it's incredible versatility and as such a disc of this caliber deserves a solid 5/5 stars.

This is a great stable mid for a beginner, or for the more advanced player, a touch flip-up and/or turnover disc. It's exactly as advertised: a beat in Buzzz right out of the box. If you throw the Buzzz because you never jived with beaded mids, I think you will agree that this feels even better in the hand. The concave wing is filled in, as they do with most of the SS line of discs, but the top is the same. The grip is smoother on the fingers, but the familiar rim depth, height, and Buzzz top makes swapping this disc in for a beat Buzzz, painless.

I think the Buzzz SS, Buzzz, and Buzzz OS is the perfect mid lineup, and I suggest any Buzzz thrower to give the whole family a chance. I bag 2 of each in Z plastic: 1 fresh and 1 seasoned (an extra Pro D Buzzz OS if I'm still seasoning a Z Buzzz OS into the sweet spot.)

Seems like a lot of mids, but it really upped my accuracy. (For what it's worth Mcbeth is currently bagging 10 mids: 7Roc3's, 2 Mako's, and 1 Gator.

I love my other Buzzzes (2 Z Buzzzes, 1 X Buzzz, and 1 Ti Buzzz); however, I don't really like the Buzzz SS (or "Super Straight) as much as my other ones. For beginners, this disc is absolutely perfect. Beginners can throw the SS for short drives and long upshots with minimal effort and it seems like it's perfectly catered towards lower arm speeds. However, I have faster arm speed and more power, thus the Buzzz SS tends to flip over for me a little too much. So the 3.5-star rating comes from personal preference and personal style. For beginners, this could easily be a 5-star disc. If you have faster arm speed and are a more advanced player, you could skip this disc unless you needed an understable midrange. I own an ESP Meteor so I don't really need another flippy midrange; however, I really hope beginners check this one out. It's well worth your time.

The Buzzz SS is a great compliment to the Buzzz. It is one of those discs that Discraft is known for. It feels great in the hand and is a fantastic midrange. The SS is great for a midrange that you want to have a little turn in before fading back and landing nicely. It is also fantastic for beginners, for those who want to learn the anny shots and just to get some form work as well as confidence before moving on to a Buzzz, it helped make my midrange game grow immensely seeing what I was capable of.

I own a 176g Elite Z Buzzz SS.  I've tried a number of midranges (including the MVP Axis and Tangent, Prodigy M3, M4, M5, Axiom Theory and Alias) and after owning many discs I've finally come to the conclusion that the Buzzz's (including the SS and OS) are the best midranges for me.  For whatever reason they just feel right.  And for me the Buzzz SS feels better than any other midrange I've tried.  For reference, I am an intermediate player that can throw the Buzzz and Buzzz SS up to 280 or so on a really good rip.  I typically can get my Buzzz SS just a little further than I can my Buzzz.  If thrown low it will pretty much go dead staight with a slight turn and a very slight fade.  I've been playing about a year and a half and my Buzzz SS is one of the very few discs I've kept since I first started playing.  I've also had several aces with this disc.  Probably not a great disc into a headwind since the disc becomes a bit understable when thrown into a headwind.  Hoping I can get this disc out to 300' by the end of the Summer.  IMO, this is a great beginner disc and for a recreational player this would be great for someone who only wants one disc. The Buzzz SS is probably even a better beginner disc than the Buzzz.

Don't get me wrong with the 3 stars. Everyone should definitely give the Buzzz SS a try, but if you're like me, sometimes it just doesn't work out. I am a very big fan of the Buzzz, and the SS is a great addition. With it being understable it is really nice for flip and flex shots.

I'm not sure if it is just the Buzzz SS that I have or not, but the disc just doesn't fit my hand right. I can't say that I have ever been dissappointed in any way with my throws, but I haven't felt like I am completely in control of the throw even when its good. With mid-ranges, it's important to have that feeling of control, because the upshot is crucial.

Easily my favorite disc that I use, as it is the most reliable and straight flyer. It's easy to get it where I want to to go as long as I have a straight shot. There's almost no curve when I throw, which can be both a blessing and curse depending on the hazards around. Overall, this is a great disc for straight, long shots.

Under rated disc for sure. This disc is easy to put right where you want it. I can get more distance than my esp buzzz too. This disc is ideal for anny shots between 100-200 ft. It would be nice to see it offered in esp plastic.
