The Tactic is designed for tactical approach shots to the basket. It has a flat top and an overstable end fade. In Exo (soft and hard) plastic, it also has a good grip for precision placement. In premium blends like Meta and Vapor, it is more durable and will keep its flight characteristics longer.

    Meta Details

Discmania's Meta plastic is a high-end, slightly opaque plastic with lots of shimmer to it. It's a very premium plastic, made mostly for Signature Discs. Meta feels amazing in the hand, and will look equally amazing in flight. Meta is very durable plastic, so it will take a beating on the course before losing any flight characteristics.

This is the disc that replaced my zone. I really like that it flies just slightly more overstable than my zone. I bought the razor claw 2 and the plastic is incredible. It has taken some pretty hard knocks from trees and still flies true. It's got just the right amount of grip for my preference.  There is minimal flex to the disc, it feels smooth but not slippery, I love it and hope it lasts forever because the razor claw has been discontinued. I'm not sure what the closest plastic is to razor claw, I'm guessing exohard.

I have a Razor Claw 3 (Meta) and Exo Hard Tactic. I'll cover both here.

Meta- A little deeper than a Zone but just as overstable as a stock Z Zone. Flies fine. Feels good in the hand. I really like the Meta plastic. It definitely is not a 4 in the fade department. It works fine as an approach disc. Pairs well with a beat in Exo Tactic.

Exo Hard - Definitely a base line plastic. Feels a bit tacky. Gets decently straight when it has some wear on it. Can warp easily if you hit a hard object at a high enough speed. Don't expect a lot of life out of this plastic. Pairs well with the Meta for covering the straight to overstable slots.

The slot that is all the rage these days is an overstable putt/approach disc. This disc is THE disc for that spot. It is more stable than ESP Zones. It has more glide than the Harp so it is better off the tee. The feel in the hand for those forehand upshots is unmatched and it will ALWAYS fade. I recommend this disc for the beginner looking to improve his or her upshot game.

Meta Tactic (Razor Claw 3) 173g

Feel: Compared to the Zone or Toro on forehand, the concave wing is an acquired taste. The rim shape combined with the flat top, relatively slick plastic and shallow feel did not make this a comfortable backhand disc for me.

Flight: Compared to the Zone or Toro, the RC3 is slightly slower and less OS. It will not punish you for overpowering approach shots or diving right if you accidentally "saw one off" either, it will pop up from a baby hyzer on forehand rather than dump to the right.

Overall I didn't know what I was missing before trying the Razor Claw 3. Too many forehand approach shots with the Zone or Toro would either blow past the basket or skip too harshly to the left or right. This is a great amount of torque resistance and stability that anyone could use to improve their upshot game.
