The Aftershock is a solid overstable disc in the DGA lineup. While not quite as overstable as the Shockwave, the Aftershock still offers a consistent and predictable fading flight path while also providing more distance. This midrange can handle powerful throws and will keep its line for almost the entire flight path. The disc features a microbead, increasing the stability slightly and offering more durability.

Purchased this disc to compare it to the buzz, after hearing that the aftershock is a good compliment or even replacement. It has a micro bead which surprised me, giving it a slightly sharp feel on the rim but for the most part it's a comfortable feel. The pro line plastic is great. Plenty of durability and grip. The flight of it is beefier than I expected. It drops much quicker than a buzzz. Other than that it is quite similar to a buzzz, md3, or perhaps stable run of the dynamic discs truth. The buzz remains my current favorite though

I disliked this disc. The plastic was slick and hard and when compared to a Roc the disc had no glide. I think my expectation for flight was wrong where I thought this could be a do anything midrange. I just couldn't get over the low glide as it kept dumping short. Might be good into the wind however. I didn't keep it long enough to care to try.

    Really Underrated!

I love using this disc as my primary midrange. I bag a Pro Line, and an SP line. I was lucky enough to purchase both of them at a good price. I have a both of them in the 170-172 weight although I will probably add a max weight in the D - Line plastic. For someone who likes the flight of a Roc Mid-Range, but would prefer a different feel and a more shallow rim, this is a great disc. Feels nice, great quality. has enough stability that I can trust it, but I can still have it go fairly straight before the turn left at the end of the flight.

I love this disc. For me this disc is magic. I was at a shop in Georgia and was looking at a DGA flight chart and just figured I would use it as my mid-range because I was having no luck using my Leopard. All my Leopard did was hit trees. From the first time I used this disc, I fell in love with it. I can get stuck in the worst spot ever and this disc will find a way to get me out of it. It will find the oddest, smallest lane and somehow end up near the basket. My friends usually end up yelling, “how did that happen?!?!” whenever I throw this disc because of how lucky it is. It was the first disc that I’ve ever gotten to fly dead straight which my game was desperately lacking. I’ve tried driving with it but they never seem to go right. The disc just wants to be thrown as a savior of a mid-range disc. I was sad to see that it had no reviews so I needed to give this disc the love it deserves because it really is a great disc.
