Holds it's line for about 150 ft for me then consistently fades to the left gradually. Great disc for shots that require a consistent right fade.

This has become one of my go-to mids. At 250'-300' of power at 5000'+ elevation it is straight out of the hand and starts fading 75'-125' out of the hand. Holds up to wind well. Not as overstable as I've seen people say. Takes annie lines well, takes flat throws well, takes hyzer shots well. The few times I've thrown it at sea level it's been very straight with a reliable small to small-medium finish. IMO it's a 5/4/0/2

The Pyro is an excellent overstable midrange. I've had two so far, one in Plasma, and one in Neutron.

I previously left a negative review of the Plasma one. It was SUPER beefy and only useful as a utility disc.

The Neutron flies much more like the numbers. It's got good glide and rock solid overstability that isn't too intimidating. I had a Neutron Matrix in that slot, but it's starting to beat in and get straight. Instead of grabbing a fresh Matrix, I decided to give the Pyro another chance. No regrets! It will hold a hyzer without dumping too much and really pushes because of its good glide. On anny it will fight out quickly with a nice flex. It's also a great forehand midrange. I struggle to forehand mids, but the Pyro is probably one of the easiest mids to forehand.

I absolutely love this disc. It is probably my favorite mid to throw as when I throw it flat, it goes straight for awhile and then reliably fades every time. I throw it both backhand and forehand and it can handle the torque that a lot of mids cannot. This thing would be a meat hook for slower arm speeds which can still be useful but wouldn't be a workhorse disc. Highly recommend in any plastic.

Great approach disk for a beginner! My disk is very overstable but it's flight path is very consitant and easy for a beginner to understand and control some basic approach shots. It feels great in my hand for both forehand and backhand. Seems very durable. I've hit mine into plenty of rocks and trees and it still looks great!

This disc is fantastic but please note it is way more overstble than advertised.  I have 4 Pyros and all of them have the same very strong over stable tendencies.

If any one was super disapointed with there buzzz and wanted somthing a touch more stable this is a perfect disc for you. This disc after one throw was a no doubter in the bag. Its seems its magnatized to the basket. Also the neutron prism plastic is fantastic! The bottem line is that if I would have a tour series MVP disc it would be this disc.

The pyro is by far my favorite midrange for forehands. I know a lot of people will only bag 4 speed and 9+ speed discs for forehands, but I really find the pyro to be useful in between drivers and putters. It is flat and comes out of the hand nice, and its stable enough to correct for off axis torque. I don't think I would make any changes to the pyro for my ideal midrange forehand disc. It is a great overstable mid on backhand, as well.

This disc flies great for me -- certainly not significantly more overstable than the numbers indicate, or only useful as a utility disc as other reviews have suggested. It's certainly overstable, but if you throw it flat it won't fade on you until the end of the flight. It fades hard, but that's kinda the idea with an overstable mid. In heavy headwinds, this disc is an excellent Buzzz substitute for straight shots that don't turn over and fade a bit at the end. It will certainly hold a hyzer angle if you put it on one at all (which might explain some of the mixed results from other reviewers).

I'd say the flight is most similar to a Thunderbird (Star/Gstar) but like, 100 feet shorter. It's perfect for shorter holes on the tee, and a great upshot disc when it needs to be.

Wanted to love this disc so much because it looks so cool but I can't seem to make it work for me yet. It is far more overstable to me than what the numbers suggest and is basically a utility disc for me at this point.

Review for the Prism Neutron Pyro. The pyro has a pretty unique feel. It has a deep rim for a mid, with a very pronounced wing. The prism Neutron plastic has an odd grip feel, for me it feels a little slick on the inside rim. Despite the rim depth, these are very flat and also very stable. It has a very predictable flight, little to no turn or glide really. The finish is always a decent fade left. The pyro makes a lot of sense for windy conditions and for reliable straight shots that need to finish left. I would compare this favorably to a buzzz OS, despite it feeling as different as possible in the hand. It could be described as a longer Zone as well. Definitely worth checking out.

I really like this disc. It is my go to OS midrange. I use this disc for backhand and forehand approach shots within about 100ft. This disc is beefy enough to drive off the tee as well. I do think the disc is more OS than the 2.5 fade rated on the disc. I can throw this disc with confidence because of 2 things. 1. I will never turn this disc over. 2. It will always fade hard.

This is by far my most used midrange and approach disc. The Pyro is very overstable, so I can throw it with good power and know that it will always fade. Great for backhand and forehand approach shots or shorter drives.

This disc is now the goto disc for several holes because I can trust it to go the same straight path with a little skip at the end.

If I was to only have one midrange disc, this would be it.  Handles great in the wind up to 20mph.

Throw this disc with intent and it will go straight.  Throw it with low power and you will get a constant left turn with rhbh.

For me the minimum distance I like to use it on is 200'.  Less that that I use a putter.  I would say my goto range currently is 200-250' for this disc.  Hope that helps.

This disc is not a one-size-fits-all. Being fairly new it still is a turn-resistant disc. With power the disc isn't going to fade much; it reminds me of a deflector with less amount of fade. If you don't have a lot of power this would be a great overstable mid. If you have power it is a great turn-resistant that I think is best with wear. I see potential for my power to use it once it is beat in to give it some glide and keep from "dumping" so early.

The Axiom Pyro has quickly become one of my go-to midrange discs. It is very consistent and straight flying with a reliable fade. No matter how hard I throw this disc it will never turn over on me. So, I can place it on any line, hyzer to anhyzer, and it will reliably come back and fade out given that I put enough air under the disc and do not angle it too much. I use the Pyro for forehands and backhands depending on the situation and it is comfortable to grip both ways. It is an all-around great disc.

I got the Pyro in the Prism Neutron plastic which is very durable and high quality. I have used this disc every time I play for about two months and it flies just as well as it did when I first got it, minus a little fade. I have also hit many trees with it, and it has held up well, not warping or bending. The only thing that has changed is the clear plastic on the disc. The clear plastic has faded and yellowed with use, so if want it to hold its original color and design for longer, I would select a disc with more vibrant colors that the sun will not affect as much.

I rate the Pyro as a speed 5.5 because it does not handle lower speeds and touchy upshots well. I generally opt for a putter in situations that require a little more touch so it has not bothered me at all. When thrown too slow, it fades out fast without much glide. So, if you struggle to get discs up to speed or if you are a very young player, I recommend getting a lighter disc or a less stable plastic to be on the safe side. Overall, the Pyro is a great disc and would be a great addition to almost anyone looking for an overstable midrange to add to his or her bag.

The Pyro is a very predictable OS mid, without being dumpy and having a nice forward penetrating fade. Great for forehand approach shots, touch flex lines, anything under 300. Awesome distance control. For when you want to throw a Raptor/Firebird but don't want a big skip.

I've easily had the most throw-ins with the Pyro.

I tested out the neutron prism pyro that was part of the players pack from the latest MVP circuit events. This thing is very overstable, more so than the numbers suggests, it is just as stable as my Neutron Deflector that I currently bag. I meshed much better with the deflector as my overstable workhorse disc compared to the Pyro, so the Pyro wont be making my bag. However, that doesn't mean that it is not the right disc for you. If you are looking for a nice reliable overstable midrange that has no problems staying consistent in the wind then give it a try!

The predicted flight numbers on this disc suggest it'll fly similar to a Roc. If you purchase it with that expectation, you'll be sorely disappointed. However, if you're in the market for a comfortable, flat-top, low-profile, overstable midrange, this disc is fantastic for you.

Straight out of the hand, this thing is trying to fade. Like most MVP / Axiom molds, it's surprisingly fast and has a forward-penetrating fade. Extremely reliable, very comfortable, with almost fairway driver speed.

The pyro is a super overstable mid range. Feels great in hand. Very shallow rim depth. Great for distance control hyzer bombs into baskets. This has become my main OS mid in tournament bag

    Great wind fighter too

Glide can be higher than expected when comparing to other really OS midrange options. This is good for when you need extra distance but can bite you on control
