The Proxy shares the same core as the Envy, but is a straight flyer. Thrown hard or soft, this disc will fly as straight as an arrow. Use it as a putting putter for those who like shallower putters, or a go-to thowing putter.

Simon Lizotte proves the utility of this disc as his go-to throwing putter and approach disc from all distances.

Very straight and glidy! But, the numbers are off unless thrown over 3-speed of power (180-200 ft in my opinion), thus the change in speed+glide.

Go read my review on the Eclipse Proxy, and you'll see that there aren't many discs I love more. It's definitely a top 3 disc in my bag and it never comes out of my bag. I love throwing soft plastic and was hoping for a more understable flight with this Neutron soft version, but I was diappointed that was not the case. The "soft" Neutron version is not very soft at all compared to other companie's version of soft, and it definitely flew a bit more stable than the Eclipse version, which was not what I was looking for. Not sure it will stay in my bag.

This disc truly does live up to the hype. It holds any turn you put on it. The hyzer flip is very consistent when you put some speed on it. Honestly one of the best throwing putters on the market.

    Rating 4/5 as a throwing putter/approach

    (3/5 as a putting putter)

I'd agree this is extremely beginner friendly as a throwing and putting putter, but I found I grew out of it quickly as a putting putter.

The Proxy was my second putter. I started playing with a Discraft Comet, bought a used classic Aviar DX, then found a sweet looking Soft Neutron Proxy and loved it. This became my go-to pretty quickly on, I found it intuitive to use during low-power walking games as much as during high-power running games. I think it took me about two or three years before I noticed it would do a baby version of the flight chart on a putt, with the fade hooking right around and landing directly behind the basket, no matter how I tried to adjust. It was definitely my throw--even a brand new one flew the same way. I started doubting my putts, eventually realized I needed a slightly beefier putter and found the Electron Atom.

I do still bag the Proxy. It's still a great disc, don't get me wrong. It's one of my furthest-flying, most expressive driving putters, and I do still putt with it at higher altitudes and in colder weather, I just don't like it for the bulk of the season, as I've found I like putters like the DGA Breaker, Legacy Clutch, Westside Maiden, DD Guard, etc much more.

I *definitely* wish this were my first disc ever, and I wish it were the only one I threw until I could bag 150' parks no problem. Had I started with the Proxy, I bet I would have worked through form issues much more quickly than I ultimately had. As frustrating as it can be now to putt with, watching it almost get repelled by the basket when I can sink just about every other mold I own on the exact same line, I still don't regret owning a Proxy and highly recommend it to beginners as the perfect beginner disc/Litmus Test for when they dial their form in.

I absolutely LOVE the proxy! This disc is my go-to approach disc in any condition. My favorite thing about this disc is the number of shots that I can shape with it. I am able to throw it on any angle at lower power and get it to hold or power up on it and get it to hyzer flip dead straight for 300'. This disc was something I didn't know I needed in my bag until I threw it. I highly recommend this disc if are having trouble with your backhand approach shots or need a very neutral, workable throwing putter.

If I had to bag just one putter, it'd be this one. It can do it all off the tee, approaches, and just putting. The Proxy does it all and just feels great in your hand.  I have one in electron soft and neutron soft, neutron better for driving and electron to finish the job up close.

I started putting with the neutron soft proxy recently. I have played with a few players that implemented soft putters and it has helped my putting game a little bit. The proxy has a nice feel as its not too thin or too deep at the rim. The softer plastic has been catching the chains a little better than some of my other harder putters.

I have a mixed bag that I usually putt with the fierce or deputy and like having an understable putter. The fierce has a tendency to splash out when i hit on the left side compared to the proxy. Would say this would be great for upshots as well due to the ability to hit the ground and not roll away. It doesn't have the glide that some other putters have, but it has worked well in the circle so far. I would definitely recommend this for a primary putter or even for someone looking for a great upshot disc as well.

I love the Proxy, and this review is about it in Neutron Soft. The Neutron Soft Proxy is the straightest disc I've ever thrown, plus it's in premium plastic so it very slowly goes understable on you when you're throwing it on most of your shots and hitting however many obstacles. It is my go-to disc for any straight shot under 250 feet. It holds whatever line it's put on and stays straight if thrown flat with 280 feet of power. It's really comfortable in the hand. But hey, let's keep this disc a secret so we can continue to outplay the others. =)

What a great flying disc.  Reminds me of a perfectly beat in ESP Buzzz as a putter.  You can put this disc on a little bit of hyzer out of the hand and it just flips up and flys laser beam straight with no real fade.  It also holds lines that you throw it on as well.  I cranked out a couple of longer anhyzer lines with this disc and was surprised to see how far it flew and how consistently it held the shot shape.  This, paired with my Envy, are going to be wooded hole line-hitting machines.  If you're a beginner looking for your first throwing putting, give this one a shot.  If you're a more advanced player looking for that straight to understable putter slot, this disc is perfect for it.

The Proxy is a great compliment to Axiom Disc's top-of-the line throwing putter, the Envy. Bagged together, the Proxy and Envy are a deadly combo. I said deadly because you will be taking down birdies like crazy on the course if you add these two to your bag. The Proxy is a more straight to understable throwing putter that can send you straight down a fairway with a little bit of turn. The Proxy is also great for turnover shots if you put some anhyzer on it. It will hold a turn very nicely without trying to turn over into a roller and without the chance of fading away from your intended line. I can't say enough good things about the Axiom Discs throwing putters. Although I do recommend getting them in the Soft Neutron plastic for a grippy premium feel. Top notch!

All I can say is the reviews are true. This is a stable/understable putter, an anomaly in the disc golf world.  If your line is straight and just under 300 feet this is your tool. I recommend the neutron soft because if you hit a tree it will limit the damage.

The Proxy is the best kept secret in disc golf. Don't let the - 1 turn fool you, this thing is just understable enough to flip up and go straight toward your intended target. I have never thrown anything so point and shoot in my life. It makes me wonder why I even bother bagging an Envy, Fuse or a Theory. It goes 250 feet without effort, and accurately so.The only reason I am not putting with it inside the circle is because MVP doesn't make it in Electron yet (but I intend to harass Steve until it happens). In neutron soft, it has a grip that inspires confidence despite the shallow profile, and it sticks where it lands.

Feels great in the hand. A very glidey understable putter that does great work for me as a driving and upshot putter. I love the slow long turnovers I get off the tee.

I love this disc. I haven't found a disc that I can putt with so much confidence and be just as comfortable off the tee. The small diameter and relatively shallow profile allows for a great deal of control.

It has quite a bit of HSS, making it very useful for drives or long upshots. I'm not sure I agree with the -1 turn. I can throw it hard and it will hold a hyzer. It has some fade, but not much.

While  I don't worry about turning it over accidentally (headwinds aside), it does hold a great anny line, if need be. It is just a super versatile disc, ideal for a 1-disc round. I used to carry two or three discs to cover the same shots as the Proxy.

I have found this disc to a slightly slimmer version of the envy. I've throw both of these discs and I've come tho the conclusion that it is really all about personal preference and what feels better in your hand.
