Electron plastic gives the Proxy a tacky, baseline grip that seasons in quickly. The Electron Proxy is a straight, glidey putter and approach disc that excels at point-and-shoot lines.

Electron - Axiom Details

Electron is Axiom's baseline plastic.  It feels amazing, but it is not made for taking a beating at high velocity. It is primarily formulated for putters.

This is the greatest approach disc on the market! Eventually, all the other MVP/Axiom discs in my bag have been replaced, but I've never found a disc from another brand that could replace the Proxy. The plastic is stellar, but the flight is even better. Thrown flat, it holds a consistent and slight turn. Put it on a slight hyzer and it will flip up and fly straight until it lands. Throws with the Proxy rivals the distance of my midranges. I only use it as a throwing putter and I love the fairly shallow rim for this.

I have bagged a few Proxy's in the short time i have been playing. this has to be one of my favorite throwing putters i have used. It is dead straight right out of the box with a small finish at the end. Once beat in, it turns into a hyzerflip machine. If i hit it hard, it turns over perfectly. Hitting it on a touch of hyzer and smooth, it will stand up and stay on an arrow.

10/10 would recomend to anyone looking for a netural to understable throwing putter.

I bag tow of this disc, an Eclipse 2.0 and an Electron medium. The Eclipse Proxy is very straight with a very subtle turn and fade. I like to throw it on holes that are almost straight in front of me within 250-300. The Electron one just keeps turning. I can power it flat and it will turn all the way to the ground. It is very good for holes that are 200-250 and have a right turn with no fade needed. The Eclipse and Electron Proxys compliment each other very well. It is definitley a disc that begginers will have an easy time learning.

Another awesome putter from Axiom.

About 6 months into playing (RHBH), I picked one of these up in Neutron while trying to figure out how to reliably birdie a few funky 175-200' holes on my home course that are pretty straight, but either have obstacles threatening the right side or a basket that is slightly off of center right but where a forehand also has a crowded line. The Pure was decent for these, but had just enough turn and fade to make parking the holes very touchy, tending to land a bit left of the basket and obstructed by a late tree or other obstacle for the putt.

I worried that the Proxy would tend to turnover *too* much, but gave it a chance. I still wonder if the gyroscopic effect is a bit of an illusion, but on my first throw, I was so excited to see the disc take a nice straight 200' shot with almost imperceptible fade, and land basically exactly straight. I'm tempted to give it a fade = 0, but will have to throw it more to decide. Nothing else in my bag flies quite like it. The Proxy is effectively the "purer" Pure in that sense: just great as a short-range laser beam and for shallow turns. It also holds an intentional turnover line beautifully, and hyzers just fine if desired (though I tend to use naturally higher-fade discs for that role). It can take a bit of hyzerflip to flat and still fade almost perfectly forward, which is just awesome.

Between the Axiom Envy, Pure, and Proxy, I've got an overstable, neutral, and understable-straight triple-threat that covers most of those 200' tee or upshots. They all feel pretty similar in the hand, which is confidence-boosting that I can just throw and trust the disc to do its thing.

I still putt with a Pure simply due to handfeel and the neutral flight, but in practice the Proxy just does peachy in the C1 role as well.

Enjoy!
