The Proxy shares the same core as the Envy, but is a straight flyer. Thrown hard or soft, this disc will fly as straight as an arrow. Use it as a putting putter for those who like shallower putters, or a go-to thowing putter.

Simon Lizotte proves the utility of this disc as his go-to throwing putter and approach disc from all distances.

The Eclipse Proxy is a great throwing putter! It provides a great compliment to the Envy in the fact that it will glide straight for much longer before gently fading. The Proxy is probably MVP's best comparison to what many people throw the Discraft Luna for.

Simply put, this is the best throwing putter on the market! I've tried it in three different plastics, and the eclipse is my favorite flyer. When I throw it on a slight bit of hyzer, it flips up and goes straight as an arrow and never fades out. If you have tight woods shots, tunnel shots, or turning anhyzer shots, this disc will go will you tell it to. If there is one disc in my bag I couldnt' do without, this is it!

If you don't own a Proxy, what are you waiting for? Get one now!

I know everyone is on the gyro train but the plastic genuinely feels great and the glow lasts for a long time compared to other glow plastics. I don't ususlly throw mvp but this one is a winner. Unfortunately the plastic can be slippery and every throw-in with the eclipse chains right out. They just never stick, the plastic just slides right off the chains. However, it has the straightest flip I've ever seen. It holds turn, it's easy to hyzer flip flat and will even hold a hyzer. It's such a workable disc I was surprised it neither burns right nor hyzers out left hard. It's so neutral while also torque resistant while also won't dump either. It is a strange combination because most discs that are stable enough to resist flipping dump, and most discs that don't dump over flip and burn. Yet it does neither.

Once my judge approaches the end of its life span, the proxy will likely be my go-to hyzer flip, turn over and throw in putter minus the eclipse plastic.

    *RHBH Dominate Thrower

My go-to BH approach for anything under 250ft.

Not going to lie, I bought this disc as a replacement to my Big Z Luna as that was my favorite "throw-in" disc or straight w/slightly stable finish.

Flight: After about 50 rounds or so with this, I really became fond of the flight. If I throw it straight with about 60% power, it comes out really clean and glides effortlessly with a slight bit of turn for about 80% of its flight until a very slight and predictable fade back. If thrown on about a 20° hyzer at about 80% power, it flips up slightly and absolutely flies on a rope the entire flight with that predictable finish. However, this disc is pretty susceptible to off axis torque. I can also throw really easy turnovers with this without it burning over. It's just a really money disc.

Feel: The Eclipse 2.0 plastic is durable, flexes a bit in the hand but slightly stiff, and slightly slick where the thumb is placed. The feel in the hand is a bit lid-like, and slightly deep like a p2. To be honest it doesn't feel as good as other throwing putters I've felt like the big z luna I mentioned previously, but I gave it a chance and adjusted my grip accordingly.

Shot-Shapes: Flies very straight, and the more power generated will add more turn in the flight. With a more "touchy" throw, the disc glides effortlessly with a slight finish that you'd want in a throwing "approach" putter. If thrown hard and slight hyzer, you get a laser straight flight, BUT, any rolling of the disc will have it fly too much to the right and never come back. BH turnovers are really easy with this disc and doesn't burn over, just holds the line the whole time but you have to commit to the throw, babying it with the nose up will have it stall out early and finish left.

Final Verdict: You should get one and try it. It's my go to disc for more than half of my throws on the course. It's so so good and pairs well with the Envy as it's more straighter brother.

Stop reading this, add the disc to your cart, and proceed to checkout. I'm writing this review then buying two more of these, gonna try out other plastics and check back in next season.

I use this as a putting putter and absolutely love it as such, especially in the eclipse plastic, which offers a bit more overstability and thus more confidence in the wind. It's also a great throwing putter, although I often will either throw it in plasma if I need to throw it hard off the tee, or if it's a touchy upshot or dead straight tee shot, I prefer the Watt. Still, the Proxy is an amazing disc and has been my main putting putter for about a year now.

Love the proxy, especially in Eclipse plastic. This is my putting putter and has been for a little over a year now. I also like it because it's great off the tee, although lately I find off the tee I prefer either something slightly more stable like the Envy or more neutral like the Watt. For a straight flying approach shot, I almost always go to the Watt these days over the Proxy. With putting, I like the slightly extra stability the eclipse offers when putting in the wind. And honestly the plastic type feels great in the hands as well. I know many people prefer base plastics for putting, but the eclipse is top notch for putting for me personally.

I started using this as an approach disc and it quickly became my favorite - very straight and predictable.  I soon realized that it also worked better than most my putters for putting as well.  What really surprised me was how well it also worked as a midrange disc.  It flew perfectly straight on 200-foot upshots.  Perhaps it will work great off the tee too.  I would give it 6 stars if I could.

So mine is the full eclipse gyropalooza box one and it's amazing. Great for just about any putter shot. Eventually planning on trying other plastics as well .

    Glow-Round Putter!

I don't have too much experience with the Proxy, but I've been putting with Anodes for the last 5 months. I definitely think that I prefer more neutral putters! So since they don't make Eclipse Anodes at the moment, an eclipse Proxy actually fits that slot quite nicely. I feel like I've been able to putt with the Proxy alongside my Anodes without noticing too much of a difference at the moment. I can't wait to play some glow-rounds and really put it to the test soon!

This is a beat in envy off the shelf. It's not that flippy but more dead straight. It has a really good hyzer flip flight on forehands though. This is a perfect disc if you're trying to find a stock disc to replace your beat in envy. They feel almost the exact same too

Bought this disc for anhyzer putts through and around trees. Needed something that would hold the anhyzer line and not want to fight to flat. It does the job well. Has a nice mild level to the ground anhyzer too for when you need those low ceiling turning woods shots as well.

This review is specifically for the the eclipse 2.0 proxy.

This is the straightest disc I have in my bag. I live in an area where there are a number of short, heavily wooded courses around that require very specific shot shapes. The electron proxy is way too flippy and sensitive for me to throw off the tee. This eclipse proxy is money though. It has the high speed stability of a premium plastic envy with almost none of the fade. I can throw it as hard as I can and it will go perfectly straight and slide down flat. Put it on hyzer and you might get a little flip up but it will probably just hold whatever angle you used.

TLDR; basically a premium Envy with no fade

This review is for the Eclipse 2 Proxy.

The Eclipse Proxy is more stable than other plastics, and bluntly put, if you want a straight shooter that doesn't glide forever the Proxy is it. Feels great in the hand, too. Not too deep, not too shallow, pretty much the same as an Envy.

A lot of people use the Electron Envy for their straight shooter, but personally, I don't like throwing electron plastic unless I'm putting because every time an electron disc hits a tree the disc flies differently. Electron plastic just changes character too fast for me and I can't buy a new one every couple weeks.

Anyway, most of the time l use an Ohm for my dead straight putter drives, but the Ohm has a tendency to glide too much in some situations. This is where the glow Proxy comes in. It doesn't glide as much as the Ohm so you can put max torque on it and get some distance without worrying about Ohm-glide.

It's also great for glow play, just remember your shades because Eclipse 2 is blinding (in a good way.)

Flicks? Sidearm? Treat it as an understable putter.

Flip up? Yes, it will flip up a little bit on a max torque throw if you want a straight fast line, but if thrown flat it will mostly stay flat and slide-turn without putting it's edge down. However, it is at it's root an understable 3 speed so if you're not careful about your angle, a max throw that's too low could definitely catch an edge when it touches down.

Great disc for beginners. If you're just starting out and the Envy is a bit too stable for you, the glow Proxy will probably give you the flight you're looking for.
