As the second distance driver in the Prodigy line, the D2 is very similar to the D1. This driver has the same diameter, height, rim depth, and wing length. With a 2.3 cm wing, this is a very fast driver. The Prodigy D2 is overstable, but not quite as overstable as the D1. It has a higher degree of high-speed turn, and slightly less low-speed fade. This driver is used by players with a variety of skill levels.

If Kevin Jones can slip on his drive and it still hits a 500ft ace, it must be a good disc.

At least that is what I thought when I first bought a D2 and I was very surprised it holds up! Effortless glidey distance with nice shape. 400G feels great and seasons well, it has beaten into a touch needed flippy distance bomber. Definetly Recommend for new players looking to blast some plast.

The D2 in 400G plastic has more glide than a destroyer in my opinion. Very similar flight but I'm loving the 400G plastic. Awesome forehand flex disc.

Get a flat profile D2 in 400G, thank me later. Great OS flight with plenty of glide. I'm not a fan of the domey runs of recent. I would rate 5/5 if I could consistently find a flat OS D2.

The D2 is a disc that i would recommend to anyone who has a decent amount of arm speed. Even for those players who don't have big arms it would be a great disc for hyzer shots. For me personally the disc is very controllable from 450 and down but can still put up 500 with decent accuracy. Personally the -1 turn is pretty apparent in the flight. By no means is it a super flippy disc but it does get a bit of turn. If you put the disc on an hyzer angle it will happily hold it. If you put it on a anhyzer angle it will hold it for the high speed flight and get a decent amount of fade as it slows down for big distance. The D2 is my primary driver for most drives. All in all its highly recommended.

I got my first 430 foot drive with this disc. The flight pattern was unexpected; it's a bit touchy. Putting even a little bit of anhyzer angle on it will make it ride that angle for a while. Even more, ripping it hard will flip it over for a bit, but it comes back on the hyzer line very nicely and has a gentle fade. It's perfect for wide open humongo tee-offs, where it has enough time to ride right and then come back to the left. With less power it has a nice straight flight with a left-fading finish. Awesome disc, one of my new favorites.

So I bought my D2 secondhand.  It was very beat in.  I prefer my D2 compared to a Destroyer for distance shots.  I feel as if it flies farther.  I am thinking of buying another.  Unfortunately, it does not have the glide of my D3.  My D3 works well for forehands as well which is very nice.  Overall, the D2 is just another a destroyer; however, it is a very good Destroyer knock-off.  I would reccomend this disc if you want something like a destroyer, but at the same time different.

This is by far my favorite driver I’ve thrown! I throw a lightweight plastic and it glides so far. The very first throw I had with it was my farthest throw I’ve had. I’ve tried many different brands and the D2 has the most glide and will hold the straight flight long before fading.

A great distance drive for people that have an average distance of 400 feet. It is a great disc for backhand and forehand. The 400g plastic is amazing in all weather conditions.

The D2 is one of those drivers that can handle being turned over and give you that great “S” flight. I highly recommend this driver.

This is my go to driver when I need to force over an analyzer but will come out of the turn and fade back towards the end of the flight. Also love to put it on low line drives to get some serious distance. Great disc for those wanting a nice stable disc that doesn't bite too hard at the end.

I gave this driver a shot after several recommendations from friends, and after throwing it a few rounds and field testing it, I can say this is pretty close to the Avery Star Destroyers in terms of flight. My D2 weighed 173g, was blue in color, and was quite domey. The D2 out of the box for me had turn, but not much, and could hold up in a pretty strong headwind. The HSS was overall more workable than its over-stable brother D1, but the fade carried forward a bit once the disc began losing speed. The fade was softer than a Star Destroyer, but I think having that straighter finish can be useful in certain situations, in particular when driving for maximum distance.

In terms of the plastic itself, it felt comfortable but the 400g I had must have been a brittler run because it chipped on the 5th throw after hitting a tree 300 feet out while testing it. Other than that, I enjoyed throwing the D2 and it does go pretty far for those that have 375+ foot of power. I think for the slower speed arms or those working on form, this disc could be a first "power distance driver" and for those who have a forehand shot that may not go anywhere as far as a backhand.

I bagged this disc for the 2018 season. Mine is a 168g in 400G plastic. I had never thrown Prodigy before, but wanted to give one a try. First off, I really like the feel of this plastic. The main reason I chose the D2 was the flight numbers.. I am not a big fan of wide rim drivers, but I really like this disc. I don't throw it all the time, but just on certain shots. I don't throw with a lot of power, but this disc works well for me on both backhand and forehand shots. With the beefier rim it seems to hold up to light to moderate winds. When throwing forehand, I am able to get nice precise S curve shots. I can get the same result with my Trespass, but I trust this disc more if it is a little breezy. So far it has been a great addition to my bag and I plan on keeping it for the upcoming season.

172g. This disc bombs for me. Give this disc the proper form on your drive, and it will get some serious distance. Thrown flat, it delivers a smooth flex line and the 6 rated glide really shows. 400g is a great plastic as well.

Out of the box these show a hair of turn and strong fade, when thrown flat.  Thrown with a little anhyzer, they will turn a bit more and fade back, finishing net straight.  But, as they break in, these become absolute distance monsters. Season a 400G for a few months and you'll have a very reliable max D disc for a long time to come. 400G provides plenty of grip, way more grip than any other brand I've tried. The glide on the D2 is huge, moreso than the D1 which makes lower ceiling shots much easier to control.  Can't reccommend the D2 enough for power throwers or anyone looking for max D discs you can season and bag a few of.

The Prodigy D2 is the "destroyer clone" you should consider throwing. The 400g plastic in this mold feels nice with a reasonable amount of tack to it and decent flexibility. The D2 has a pretty big rim to which does make it a little more awkward to grip but it isn't unbearably big feeling. My D2's are 400g and have a hefty dome to them at 175g.

The D2 is designed to be a pretty workable disc and it has a nice middle ground stability to it out of the box. This disc will hold the lines you put on it well, it will do a nice flip up to straight when thrown on hyzer and it carries a pretty long way. When thrown flat hard it has a small turn to it with a very long glide before a nice stable finish. On ahnyzer this disc flexes late and the glide on it makes it go quite far. The Glide honestly is what really sells me on this disc it carries easily an extra 10-15 feet on a drive simply on the glide alone and I think that lends to its large domey profile. Sidearm this disc is kinda hard to get a comfortable grip on because it is so deep but it's stability is good for a distance shot, a flatter profile D2 would definitely make the mark. This all adds up to an excellent backhand and forehand workhorse distance driver.

The headwind performance on the D2 is pretty admirable, it won't quite handle big gusts but a moderate and consistent head wind won't phase this disc much. Tailwind performance is pretty good the glide keeps it going, you might need to use a more beat up one for stronger tailwinds though.

The D2 is definitely a mainstay in prodigy's line up and I think this would be the workhorse driver people are looking for. Great plastic feel and reasonable consistency make this a disc you will definitely want to pick up.

I just got my 150g/ 400g D2 in the mail. After throwing the D2 for two rounds I already love this disc. Throwing RHBH it turns slightly right for half the flight and fades back in nicely, making it one of the straightest discs in my bag.

The D2 is a bomber disc. I got a used one in an auction and it immediately went in the bag. It flew so perfectly for me and was pretty reliable for me until recently (I have been changing my form to get more power). Once this disc beats in, it won't be trustworthy into a headwind though.

My go to distance driver. This disc thrown full power (Im a power thrower) will have a bit of ride but will always finish back to the left. It handles torque really well, its a great disc for flex hyzers or for straight up hyzers. It feels great in the hand and it releases really clean. I throw it predominantly back hand but is also really nice for hyzer sidearms. The D2 is honestly my favorite driver on the market and I bag 5 of them. I would 100% recommend trying one out.

Prodigy has a serious winner with the D2. Its a fairly unassuming looking disc with an unassuming name. Its a monster flier though. Very fast with great glide. Just a hint of high speed turn. Hard throws will flex out somewhat with the D2. Noticeable low speed fade, but nothing overly dramatic. I'd liken it to a Nuke, Torrent or Boss. Same speed and general flight characteristics. The D2 does well in pretty much any wind conditions.

The D2 can be the go-to distance driver for anyone's bag. Its a long bomber with fairly neutral stability that will bomb as long as anything on the market. The plastic is pliant and durable too.

I have a 167g 400G D2 and it is very overstable compared to the D1 I purchased at the same time in the same weight and same plastic. I dont know if this is a fluke and it just happened to be that way with the discs I bought, but I can not make this D2 turn at all, but can get a good flex out of the D1 when thrown flat or with a slight hyzer. With that said, I love my 167g D2 for 350'- 400' hyzer shots that I need dependable overstability. Would compare it to a relatively new star destroyer in terms of flight and speed. Rim width is not to wide for someone with medium sized hands. Fights wind well. Would highly recommend for an experienced player who is looking to fill the straight to stable max D slot in their bag.

So I decided to get a 400G D2 to replace my Discraft Crank, and it is everything I imagined it to be and more. When I throw this thing flat it well ever so gently turn and just fly so straight and then it will start to hyzer out. It has been an incredible distance driver for me when I need a disc to go very straight and then hyzer out. LOVE the D2. Very quickly becoming my go-to driver nowadays!

Loving this disc. Went to a field and practiced with it and it made into my bag immediately. I have been releasing this disc with annie and it will hold for a long time, but always fights back and fades at the end. I am getting more distance out of this disc than my beat in Destroyer and my Ballista. Since throwing this disc I have removed the Ballista from my bag. Recommended for people with high arm speed.

This is a good disc.  It does have a wide rim on it so be warned.  The plastic feels amazing too.  I don't dislike this disc, I simply like other discs more for this slot in my bag.  This has minimal turn and a consistent fade.  I simply like the bio Defender better for this shot. If you are a Prodigy fan this is a must have and if you are looking into trying out Prodigy this and the D1 are great ones to try out.

The D2 was a nice addition to my bag when I had stopped bagging Destroyers. It had a nice flight that I really liked and could count on. In fact, it was a lot further flying than I thought at times seeing as I lost it by throwing it into a river 50 ft beyond the basket on a drive. It is a long disc that has just enough turn to help give it that extra distance boost before coming back and finishing further left

This disc is an essential for Prodigy throwers in my opinion. I have several D2's, a couple of which are in my bag. The first D2 I got is fairly stable. For maximum power shots, I can throw this disc on a slight hyzer release and it will flip up and fly straight before dumping left. I'll throw this disc on open shots the must penetrate a late gap. The maximum amount of distance I can get right now while throwing this disc is around 430 feet.

A newer D2 is less likely to flip. Thus, the disc is great for hyzer shots straight out of the box. This disc is also a good short forehand disc. I say short because when I try to put some power behind my forehand with a D2, the disc typically turns over on me, becoming a cut roller.

Overall, this will be my go-to disc for backhand power shots that must penetrate a tight gap. However, it is still a very versatile disc.

I heard a lot of good about the D2, so I got one to try out. Having used it for several months now, I love it! My max weight G-star Boss is VERY stable, pretty straight but always fades hard. My Katana tends to get flippy on me when I rip on it. I wanted something a little bit in the middle, and the D2 has been exactly that. In a controlled drive, it turns out just slightly, then starts a long penetrating fade. Overall it's quite straight, but the distance is unreal and it can handle anything I put on it. The only time I've had it turn over on me was in a strong headwind. Other than that, this has been a disc that lets me push the limits but still maintain some control.

Bought a 400G series D2 looking for something to fit between my world/enforcer and my trespass. this disc was a great choice. Other sites have it listed as a 12 5 0 3 which i thought was very accurate. Has the same feel as my trespass and enforcer. The 400G plastic is some of the best feeling plastic i have in my bag. I have bought other prodigy discs that have had a very pronounced dome to it and their flights weren't very consistent but my D2 is a great disc.

I have a 165g D2 in the G plastic. Its not very stable... The lite D3 i have is fairly stable but its in S plastic.. I use the D2 for some really pretty sweeping anhyzer shots that hold the line all the way to the ground. If i throw this thing flat it will turn and burn. But if i take a little off this thing glides really far with out allot of effort. Im not sure if the G plastic or the weight is the cause of the flippyness. I average around 310 for my drives for your reference.
