I just aced a 295 ft forehand with this. I love this disc.

I found this dis one day pushing brush with a tractor had it for about 2 months and then lost it 

it seems like that is what it was made for.

I used this disc for about 40% of my drives it was a very consistent disc just a little more understandable than my destroyer which is very nice for tighter fairways 

I throw around 315 ft

I've been wanting to try a crank for months and I was fortunate enough to get an ESP in a mystery box and I'm glad I did.

Feel: the rim is wide and deep but feels comfortable. It allows for food snap backhand.

Flight: RHBH it is easy to control. I threw it on tunnel shots and when thrown flat it has slight turn and good fade. It makes for easy distance. When forced over it does not catch an edge. It will hold the turn without flipping. When I put as much power and snap on it as my destroyer it will flip, turn, and at the very end flatten out. Great distance 

Overall, it made my bag for a great option for stability between my Hades and Destroyer 

The crank is one of my all time favorite discs. I can trust it for almost any shot whether it is a flex shot to long slight turnover distance drive.

The Crank has become a staple in my bag.  I carry the ESP and Big Z.  I personally find my Big Z one to get just a little more distance before it starts to fade. 

The Crank is a really fun distance driver to throw from Discraft. This disc does have a wider rim making it pretty fast, but it was not uncomfortable in the hand. This disc has a really nice flight, with some turn when given power, but it always seemed to come back with a nice soft fade. If given space, this disc could really bomb on some big flex shots. If you have the power you could probably force this thing over into some big anhyzers too. This is a really nice distance driver to start with because it doesn't have so a strong fade at the end of the flight.

The Crank is a really fun distance driver to throw from Discraft. This disc does have a wider rim making it pretty fast, but it was not uncomfortable in the hand. This disc has a really nice flight, with some turn when given power, but it always seemed to come back with a nice soft fade. If given space, this disc could really bomb on some big flex shots. If you have the power you could probably force this thing over into some big anhyzers too. Ended up getting this in a mystery box. Never threw a crank before but this has actually taken the spot from my star destroyer for distance shots. I can get this a solid 20 feet further than the destroyer. Only reason I still keep the destroyer in the bag is because I have a hard time forehanding this disc without it turning over. Definitely my favorite backhand driver.

This disc works great on a smooth release you will get the turn out of it with a reliable fade at the finish. I noticed you do not have to rip on the disc to get its full effects, I throw a 172 and get my max distance with this disc. If you like a high speed rim this give disc a chance.

Great disc! Versital disc for varying level difficulty shots. Hold a nice glide if enough spin is generated.

The Crank is my primary distance driver. This disc is extremely versatile.  Really the only shot I do not throw with the Crank is forehand. I wish the Crank was a bit more stable. Even in Z they will hyzerflip with ease brand new. The rim is much more comfortable than a nuke and easier to control. Once beaten in, the Crank will turn in to a great roller disc.

I gave the Crank a try today while playing with a friend who swears by them. The disc flew great, a lot better than I had expected. I threw it on a big forehand shot, hoping that I could get it to fly straight before fading in toward the basket. While the disc didn't do exactly what I wanted, I was amazed with the flight. I had already thrown my DD Trespass and put it 15 ft out, so I wanted to see how the Crank flew in comparison. The Crank flexed out a little bit in its flight before coming back and landing straight in front of me, so I was a little disappointed initially. It turns out what I ended up doing was blasting beyond the basket by 50 ft. I was amazed with how much distance this disc had, and see why my friend bags three of them.

While it was a great bomber, I don't think I would make the switch to them. The biggest reason is that the disc is pretty domey, and I just do not like the feel of a domey disc. I don't like how they feel in hand even when I can get a great result out of the flight. So if that doesn't bother you, definitely give the disc a shot, it really is a good disc.

From my experience if I am playing a round with only 4 or so discs my Crank is the go to for my distance driver.  The Crank once broken in can be made to almost do anything you want giving you significantly more control over the flight pattern of most discs while still giving you good distance.  Personally I think the Crank feels a little slow out of the hand but the glide seems to make up for it on long holes especially if you can get a nice S-Curve going.

The Crank! I think this disc is pretty good at higher elevation. When I first got one in 2013 it went right into my bag, I loved it as an alternative to my Destroyers. Soon after I moved to Oregon where it is almost sea level, and I lost all interest in the Crank. They lost much more stability and became understable flyers. My destroyers were less stable too but the dropoff wasn't as significant. 

The Crank overall is a fast, far flying disc. Discraft lovers that I know swear by the crank, and Discraft's consistency will keep them coming back. Try one out if you haven't yet, it might work for your game.

So, the Crank has grown on me. When I first got it, it was more overstable than I expected it to be. My Crank is ESP and 170-172. I have had it in the bag for a few months, and it definitely isn't my go to distance driver, but I use it quite a bit. Again, my experience may be different than others, but I can trust my Crank to not turn over on me. So if there is a little bit of wind or some OB on the right that concern me, I pull out my Crank and let it take care of the rest. It still isn't my go to, but I find myself pulling it out on more and more holes. I am also curious to try it in some of the cool Ledgestone plastics and see how they compare.

This is my go to disc throw it every time I go out...that being said I also have long arms and a decent powerful throw it will finish hard left for sure but flies fat and accurate if you know what you are doing it is made in most plastics I prefer Z and ESP plastic pick one up you won't regret it just "crank" it!

i got the first run crank esp when it first came out it was very overstable untill i broke it in and now its like the wraith but you cant over spin it because it will anhyzer alot

I own 2 Cranks, one first-run ESP and one Heisenburg Z. The disc flies with considerable high speed turn, somewhere between a Destroyer and a Tern. It doesn't take as much speed to power up this disc as a Destroyer, yet it flies just as far. I like that the fade at the end of flight isn't too strong -- assuming there is no wind it allows me to hit shot placements pretty consistently. When thrown into the wind this thing will bank hard right, unless thrown with a hyzer. Great disc, makes a nice spot in my bag between my Wraiths and super overstable Destroyer. Stability ratings for the ESP seem like 12, 1.5, 5, 2. The Z is similar with less high speed turn.

As an update six months later, I would like to state that the Crank has found a permanenet place in my bag as my go to distance driver. I have found that I can now get the S-curve I want and that the disc gives a much more reliable fade than most of my other discs.

This is exactly what I tell people! The ESP out of the gate is a slightly beat in Destroyer. The Z Crank is very comparable to a brand new Destroyer. I've been having a hard time deciding to throw Crank vs Destroyer! Great Disc to at least give a valid chance!

The Crank is an excellent addition to my bag! I throw both the Nuke and the NukeSS for my go to Maximum Distance Drivers. For a long time I have needed something more stable than the NukeSS and less stable than the Nuke. This disc fits the bill. I have been playing for about 2.5 years. I can throw the Nuke consistantly around 325-350 ft, and the Nuke SS about 350-375ft. I was matching my NukeSS ft for ft with the crank, while not producing as much of an S-curve or risking turning it over so much it didn't fade. I can reccomend this disc to experienced players who are either used to throwing the wide rim style long distance discs, or for those looking to move up into a faster speed disc, such as a Nuke or Nuke SS. In head wind I got a lot more out of the disc, while a tail wind made it fly much closer to the flight path of a Nuke, much more overstable. In the end, I am excited to get more course time with this disc, especially on the long holes and see what I can do with it!

The Crank is a good long distance driver from Discraft. I like this disc substantially more than I do the Nuke and am impressed by how stable it is without having fading too much. While working this disc on a wide open field I was able to get some excellent distance when I would get the right approach, angle and snap. The Crank I'm using is 170 -172g. I'd probably prefer something a little bit lighter. With my current skills, this driver is a little too much for me. Unless my form and release our perfect, (which isn't typical) for backhand throws I'm better off with drivers that are a little slower and more understable. More powerful players will love the speed and flight path of the Crank.
