Loved by beginners and pros alike, the MD3 offers reliability, control, and versatility. With a balanced flight and predictable fade, this disc delivers precise shots and confident finishes. Its durable plastic ensures consistent performance, making it a must-have for disc golfers at any skill level.

Note: The Innova made MD3 and Discmania made MD3 feel and fly nearly identical. Some of the flight numbers on the Innova made MD3 are 5 5 0 3 or 5 5 0 2, but even those runs don't fly significantly different than the newer Swedish made ones. If there's one person in the world you could ask about MD3s, it'd be me.

This thing is definitely the best midrange on the market, an awesome straight to slightly overstable midrange.

I've owned 10 of these, they are such a workhorse! An amazing hand feel, and great flights. Especially with Discmanias plastics, it makes it the best midrange you could ever buy. If you're reading this with hesitation about buying one right now, don't even think, just buy it for the sake of your game.

Out of the box, this disc was straight and torque resistant. Unfourtantly, it beat in super fast. It now flips to flat very quickly and gets a fairly significant late turn. Most people say its fairly straight so perhaps I have an exception disc.

This review is for the new Swedish C-Line blend. Plastic feels really good. Very much like a lot of your transparent plastics. I'd say it is more stable than what the numbers suggest. Not overstable, but definitely not a 0,1. Closer to a 0,2. If you're arm speed is slower it will be a moderately stable mid range. If you've got a big arm it might get closer to the original flight numbers. I still really like the MD3. Good glide and can handle torque pretty well. It's just a really solid mid range.

I am in love with my MD3s. Yes, that is plural. I've got an 8 in the C-Line plastic (or variations), both old Innova penned ones and newer Discmania MD3s. To me, this disc flies very true to the numbers with some slight variances to them. I've got 2 blue domey ones that are the most stable and 2 glow ones that are less stable, and the rest fly somewhere in between. All in all the difference isn't worth a difference in flight numbers, but all of them are money. I love the micro bead as it's not big enough to get in the way, but it just locks my power grip into place for maximum control. If you haven't found a mid that you love it's because you haven't tried the MD3. Excellent disc with all of the control in the world.

Summary: It's just great at everything.

Feel: It's really comfortable all around from the height and width of the rim, to the plastic. Discmania's new C-Line is very consistent and grippy. It's durable without being overly stiff, it is just stiff enough to feel substantial in the hand and confidence inducing to know if anything happens to it, it won't dent and may not even scratch.

Flight: Straight with just a little fade. It'll hold flat and fade a tad, not too overstable to not fly true. It has integrity, it'll hold a line but still fade at the end.

For the last few years, I have found that midranges are the bread and butter of the way I play disc golf. For reference, any shot between 200-350 feet I am throwing a midrange. The MD3 has quickly taken my bag by storm. Out of the box, this mid flies extremely straight with a small amount of fade. The glide is also insane. After a month or two of seasoning, it will begin to flip up to flat and ride for a long time. 10/10 disc in my eyes!

From the first time I threw this disc it quickly shot up my list for best mid ranges that I have ever thrown. It is so reliable. There is a reason you see players like Eagle McMahon carry a few of these at all times. I have one in c line plastic at 180 grams that is beat in a very good bit and it always hits the lines I want it to. I trust this disc in any wind or condition as well. When on hyzer, it maintains its overstability. When thrown flat and hard, this disc has a beautiful s line to it that is perfect for tough wooded shots. When thrown on anhyzer, it has a reliable turn but always fights out for me to finish a bit overstable. I really enjoy having this disc in my bag and I think it may be in there for a very long time. If you want to try a discmania midrange from their original line up, give this one a try because you will most likely love it.

Very good midrange. I don't feel the fade is as strong as listed, however, it is still very consistent. The disc is also the most stable I've thrown yet. I have an inconsistent arm, and I feel safe throwing it flat. It holds all angles, though you may want to have a decent amount of height for shaping sharp anhyzers.

Holds lines very well, but doesn't flip up. I really enjoy the plastic and flight, but that's not enough to keep a spot in my bag.The main place I would recommend this disc would be for mildly windy rounds for a straight mid.

This MD3 I threw was pretty stable. I prefer to hyzerflip most of my shots and this disc only slightly flipped up, but never stood up flat. It didn't find a spot in bag after trying to get it in there, but it could for you. Tons of glide for sure.
Still a solid midrange option for anyone.

If you want a glidy mid range that will fight the wind and a good amount of torque, you have found it. I would recommend getting this in max weight as it will then fight any force or wind that is put on it. C-Line plastic is slippery, but the disc itself looks and feels nice to hold. It will go further than you might expect, but that is because of the high glide rating.

    New Discmania MD3.

My friend bought a few of these and I threw it in the field with him for about a half hour. C-Line and I believe they were 177-179 grams.

Feel of the "Italian" Blend plastic was great. Stiff enough, nice grip. No issues there. The feel and this is just personal preference is a little deeper then I prefer for my midranges.

Flight seemed pretty spot on, I saw a hint of turn so I would say -.5 rather then 0. Overall this is the type of workhorse mid you want. It's generally really straight. Can handle some wind and has a mild fade.

A very nice disc from Discmania, but I prefer the Truth and Emac Truth just for the feel.

To preface this review I'll start off by making it clear that I am a casual disc golfer, I do not play every single day and I do not shoot 1000 rated rounds, therefore take this review with a grain of salt. However, if you are a novice or casual player like me, you might find this review helpful.
The New Discmania MD3 is the quintessential midrange. Out of the box, this disc flies like a dream. For lower arm speeds, the ridiculous amount of glide will help you obtain effortless distance. Brand new, this disc is stable, meaning for right-hand backhanded throwers, this disc will fade to the left at the end of it's flight path. Though, as you break this disc in overtime, it will become more understable, allowing you to perform hyzer-flip shots and turnover shots. Many throwers bag multiple MD3's in varying stages of wear due to the sheer versatility of this disc and the many lines and shots you can throw with it. This midrange also has no bead and is similar in feel to a Discraft Buzzz. I prefer discs with no bead because I believe I am able to get a cleaner release when throwing forehand. Discmania really hit it home with the new MD3 and I believe it is almost identical in flight and feel to my Discmana "Originals" MD3 manufactued by Innova.

    180g C Line MD3

This is the best midrange I have ever thrown. I have had mine for about 4 months and it has beaten to a point there it will hold any line you put it on and have a slight fade at the end. I can effortlessly throw it 275 dead straight with a touch of finish at the end. Its also great for short controlled forehands up to about 250 for me. I can put it out on a touch of hyzer and it will stand up and go straight with a bit of right finish. Fantastic disc, anyone who can needs to try this one.

I bag two of these, one in 180g in G-Star and one in 165g in C-Line. They couldn't be more different discs. This disc sails forever sometimes and has only a light forward fade at its finish. Maybe due to the weight, it doesn't like full power throws. For me this discs shines going uphill. I can put it on any line and use its glide and forward fade to make beautiful throws at around 200ft uphill.  Fairways tend to skip and take poor ricochets off trees, but not the MD3. It'll float right to the ground and seemingly absorb tree and branch shots without going to far off course. Its a niche disc for sure, but one that I carry frequently.

For me, this disc is super inconsistent. In my opinion, it is a lot less stable than it is said to be. I have plenty of discs that have a fade rating of 2 and they fly a lot differently than the MD3. I enjoy this disc for sure, but I can get the same type of flight that I wanted out of this, but with other discs. I have the glow c-line and the plastic feels amazing. Honestly, this is probably the best-feeling disc I own. It is super comfortable to grip and hold. But I bought it for a straight to moderate fade flight, not for turnovers. The speed and glide are definitely there, and maybe I just suck at hyzer flips, but I would recommend other mid ranges.

The MD3 is a comfortable disc, and I like how the microbead feels. I think it is a good neutral flying disc, that is not as overstable as the numbers suggest. I find that if I throw it flat hard it turns before having a gentle fade.

If you prefer shallow midranges and but still want one that's a little overstable, the MD3 is easily one of the best options on the market. The disc feels really nice in the hand and will only any angle you put it on with a slight finish at the end. You can actually even get a variety of stabilities out of this one mold, similarly to a Roc. P-Lines beat in to incredibly straight discs while the most opaque runs of the Crowned Eagles and the new Iron Samurais will hold up to almost any headwind. For me, the MD3 is the only midrange in my bag since I can get every shot I need out of it.

Hands down the best midrange on the market. Out of the box on a flat throw flies dead straight with a penetrating fade, thrown with hyzer holds the line the whole time while gliding not dumping, with an anhyzer throw holds the line pans a lays flat. Truly a perfect midrange the eagle McMahon signature series are the best of the bunch.

The color glow MD3 is my personal favorite go-to mid-range disc. I have tried many other mid range discs, but I think that this disc is the closest thing to perfection, personally. Do you want a stable-overstable, power friendly mid range? You have that when it is brand new. Do you want a mid range that is straight-flying at low and high speeds? You have that when it is moderately seasoned. Do you want a turnover-friendly, even roller-friendly mid range? You have that when it is well worn. The color glow plastic is also excellent. Plenty of grip, but not too soft, and plenty durable.

The MD3 is a great straight midrange with a subtle fade at the end.  It can handle some good torque without flipping over.  Thrown hard they can go far because of their glide.  However they have a tendency to not be as stable into a headwind.  I used mine for anything straight, flex shots, and for touchy forehands.  These will be good for wooded courses, but not ideal for courses with a lot of winds.

I bought an MD3 thinking it would be a great beadless replacement to the Roc3 I had been using. At first I was disappointed that it was less overstable, but I did come to enjoy its nice straight flight. It wasn't a turnover mid-range for me by any means but it turns more than Rocs. Definitely better feel in the hand than a beaded mid. I think it is a great disc for anyone looking for a mid-range that can move close to 300 on a dead straight line for pretty average arms.

The MD3 is the go to midrange for many Discmania throwers, and for good reason. It has a nice stable, but workable flight for throwers with some power. It flies a lot of the same lines that a Buzzz or a Roc would fly for people. I would put it between those two discs in terms of stability. It has a nice, comfortable feel in the hand. It is beadless and mostly flat topped. Overall a great disc fo players looking for that stable midrange.

I keep this disc in the bag for straight forehand shots out to 225 feet. It performs well on backhand shots as well but I prefer throwing KC rocs for backhand shots, but this would be my backup if I didn't have a roc. Really consistent fade and more dependable in the wind than most midranges, so it stays in my bag just in case I need it.

I've only been able to play a few rounds with the discs, so I may have to change it later but so far I'm loving this mold. Bought in both C-line and P-line at 175g.

Both discs fly well, very predictable, and accurate. Makes for easy approach shots, as both hit and stick exactly where I want them to go.

The C-line looks and feels similar to champion. I feel like the C-line is probably a little gummier, or at least the one I got is, than champion which is great for any approach disc. I feel like this disc is significantly more overstable than the P-line, while still being controllable. I would say that at mid power on a flat, level line the difference is negligible between the two discs. I would say that up to about 70% power on throw they'll fly about the same.

The P-line feels amazing! P-line has the feel of old school DX plastic, or KC pro. It's also pretty durable, I've bounced it off of some metal signs, and did very minimal damage, small surface dent with no cuts or scratches. The P-line flys much straighter, and further, than the C-line while still resisting high speed turn. The P-line will not fade back as much as the C-line, however it is just as predictable. Personally, I prefer the P-line for most shots, the added distance, and great feel of the disc make it perfect for those long straight ace runs. However, I do like the C-line more for shot shaping, and throwing in the wind. The loss of distance is more than made up for by the insane predictability of this disc, especially in varying wind conditions. Also, although C-line flys well in the wind, it looses all grip when it is wet. Conversely, the P-line maintains a decent amount of grip even when soaking wet, playing in the rain.

I say if you have the ability to bag them both than you should. I tried out a lot of mids from a lot of manufacturers and this was the mold for me. As a basic comparison, I found the buzz, and roc to be to flippy. The buzz os and roc3 to be super uncomfortable in the hand with their flat tops. The MD3 hits the sweet spot, super comfortable in the hand while still being overstable enough to handle power but not so overstable as to loose predictability. If you can only get one; tough call. The C-line is more versatile, and durable. The P-line is perfect for ace running.

I recently lost my Discraft Wasp. Which sucked because I ended up just accidentally leaving it at the course after throwing multiple discs on a hole. Great disc!

Yet that being said, had I not lost that disc I never would have gotten this wonderful replacement/Improvement.

The MD3 is now by far my favorite midrange disc. I even bought C-line...normally I cant stand Champion plastic, but this.... this is heavenly.

Numbers do exactly what they say. Won't turn over, unless you turn your wrist for an anhyzer line...even then, it will hold that line for just a small bit before it stands back up (not quickly, but not slow either) to get back on a straight line. That 3 fade ensures that it always comes back too.

Love it! As with every Discmania disc I've thrown thus far.

Keep up the great work Discmania.

This seems like a very beginner friendly disc. It has a lot of glide with a nice shallow rim for a clean release. However I would say even for a mid level player this disc is more understable than stable. I throw a 180g C-line and have to release on a steep hyzer to have it flip to flat and fly straight. That said I enjoy using this disc for any dog leg right holes using RHBH and am only giving 3 stars because the rating seems off to me. 5 stars if this was rated 5/5/-2/1.

This is the baby brother to the FD3, it is really OS but not to the point where it's not usable. I was still abel to get some really good use out of this unlike a champion metal-flake thunderbird that I have which is just so OS that its impossible to get any good flight out of it. Intermediate to advanced players should be able to get some really good use out of this OS midrange.

I have a 176g C-line MD3 and am primarily a RHBH thrower. I picked up this disc to complement my stable/understable mid as something I can throw into a head wind or get some bite from on the finish. There was a bit of hype surrounding the disc so I picked it up, and maybe because of that I had really high hopes. I was a little disappointed in what I got. I did not find the disc to be nearly as stable as advertised. When thrown into a headwind I would get a significant amount of right turn with next to no fade at the end. Even when thrown without wind there was no significant fade at the end of flight. Mine is fairly domey and it makes it feel like the rim is really deep, and I find that it causes me to griplock on occasion. I'm sure some molds are better than others, and maybe I just got a "bad" one. Not a bad disc, just not what I was looking for based upon the numbers. Mine has since been replaced by a Bard. On the flip-side however, it does glide quite far. Based on my experience I would recommend this disc for anyone looking for something JUST on the stable side that won't completely turn over in the wind, or someone with a developing arm.

I've been throwing a 177g C-line and have really liked this disc. I typically use it for holes that are approximately 250-300 ft and can count on it not turning over when ripped. Its listed as very overstable, but I get a pretty gradual, yet consistent fade during the last 1/5 of its flight. There's not as much hard fade as I would've expected, but if you're looking for hard fade that skips on landing I'd look into the overstable fairway and distance drivers.

Overall, this disc has provided a consistent midrange shot in my game. If I don't want to overshoot a hole by using a driver and need the disc to land a little left of my line, I can always depend on the MD3 to get the job done. This isn't a disc for a weak arm though as it wont hit its designed flight unless you can get it out to 250 ft or more.

In terms of its feel in the hand, it has a flat/low profile which I like in my midranges. Feels similar to a Buzz in the hand with a slightly deeper rim. Great looking disc in the C-line plastic too. If you're looking for a dependable, stable midrange that shoots straight with a decent finish left, give this one a try!

Don't understand how I forgot to review the MD3, but here's my belated report:  I tried the MD3 as a Roc3 without the big bead.  the MD3 is indeed similar to the Roc3 in its straight flight then reliable fade.  Fairly comfortable in the hand, as well.  The MD3 did well for me when I threw it on the range and during rounds.  If you're looking for a Roc3-"ish" disc, the MD3 will probably fit the bill.

This midrange is a solid disc. It doesn't seem to fly too well unless you put a lot of power on it, so it can take some time to adjust. It'll wobble without some drive behind it.

That being said, even with a little wobble it'll still fly true to its line. It's lip is a bit strange, personally, so it fits weird on my knuckle of my right index finger. Forehands are a no-go for me, personally, but my buddies love it for that. It seems faster than advertised and not as glide-y, but it's still floats quite a bit.

I'd recommend this disc for a player that at least has figured out power-grip and some decent power all the way to the pros.

This is one of the best midranges on the market, in my opinion. Mine is a little flatter than others that I've seen, but still has great stability and can be worked into a ton of shots. Straight, full hyzer, turnovers, forehands... this disc will do whatever you want it to. Power it up and hyzer flip it, throw it straight and let it slightly fade. My go-to midrange when I absolutely have to nail a shot. If you're even slightly interested, pick one up in glow or C-Line and you won't be disappointed.

    180 C-Line MD3

The MD3 is a really nice disc. I have two, one Eagle McMahon sig glow and one C-Line, and I would say that the glow is definitely less stable. You can really lean into this disc and not turn it over. If you are looking for a consistent and overstable mid range give these a try.

Does a beadless Roc 3 sound like something you'd be interested in? If so, the MD-3 from Discmania might be just what you're looking for in that regard. I first threw an MD3 three long years ago in Korea when the very first flat, glow, C-Line MD3's came out. Those particular MD3's were seriously beefy...they weren't quite Gator/Justice/Zone overstable, but they were close. For whatever reason (perhaps to make room for a future MD4?) the mainstream release of the MD3 is much, much less overstable.

There are some domey MD3's out there, but the two I threw were both very flat. If you've ever thrown a glow champion Roc3, that's the kind of stability the MD3 has. Good resistence to turn, but can be turned over for power anhyzers or flex shots. Holds a great hyzer line, and with a barely-there hyzer angle flips to flat and then fades at the end. One difference for me was that I found this easy to forehand. I don't generally forehand mids because I throw mostly Roc3's, and forehanding anything with a bead is not very comfortable. The MD3 gave me a nice s-curve that I could push oiut to a little past 250 without having to do anything crazy. The MD3 might actually have a little bit more glide than a Roc3, but don't quote me on that.

A great workhorse mid if you don't like beads.

I bag four of these beauties.  My P-line has beaten in to be a perfect turnover driver, my 3 C-line MD3s go from pure straight to pure hyzer OS.  I had been searching for a step up in stability from my Shark3s and found that I did not like the feel of the OS Rock molds, and the Roc3s.  Enter the MD3.  Dismania hit this one out of the park.  It is a straight flyer with an over stable finish, a midrange line that everyone needs.

I have a blue 180 g c-line MD3 and I think LaPutka has really described this disc well. The MD3 is more stable than a Roc3 as when I really lay into it, it doesn't step out to the right (RHBH) like a Roc3 will, but does this with-out having a more overstable finish. That being said it is a great complement to the Roc3 and feels great in the hand. I would caution however that the glide on this disc does take some getting used too, It can carry past your target if you're not throwing with that in mind. This isn't going to replace my Roc's but it's going to stay in my bag.

The MD3 is a fantastic midrange. I used to be an exclusive Roc thrower until I found the MD3. Now I keep 2 McPro Roc3's in my bag and an MD3 which complements the McPros very well. The Roc always seemed to be just slightly less stable than I was wanting it to be, and I was always looking for the most overstable rocs I could possibly find. That changed when I found the MD3.

Out of the hand the MD3 has a consistent straight flight and can hold a line with a lot of power. At the end of the flight, there is a pretty solid fade which is consistent in all conditions. This midrange works as a great replacement for a Roc shot when I have a headwind that I'm worried will cause my McPro Roc3 to carry too far on an anhyzer.

I keep an MD3 in my bag at all times, and it fits right in between my straight and understable midranges, and my utility overstable gator.

I used to hate the MD3 as a forehand disc because I did not have the finesse for it. As my game has improved and I've found more finesse in my forehand game, I find the MD3 is a pretty solid forehand midrange. I can throw it for nice anhyzer forehands and lazerbeam touch upshots.
