I know I already reviewed this disc a few years ago, but since then they have released this disc in a ton of different plastics.
First and foremost, this is my main midrange. I currently bag 3 of the in different plastics that cover all shots I'd need a midrange for, except the significantly overstable shots. Currently I bag one in Chameleon VIP-X plastic, one in Chameleon VIP plastic, and one in tournament plastic that is really beat in. Overall, I feel in general the Warship feels like a beadless Roc, but with significantly more glide and a little more speed. Generally speaking the turn and fade can change pending on plastic, but you can achieve a range of somewhat understable to fairly overstable flights with a brand new (not seasoned) Warship.
The VIP-X Chameleon Warship is the most overstable Warship I bag, but by no means is it a meat hook. No matter how hard I throw it, it will fade. If put on an anhyzer line it will ride the anhyzer line for a while, but will always fight out of it. When thrown flat, it will go straight for a long time but it will finish with a predictable fade. When thrown flat into a fairly significant headwind it will turn over some, but always come out of it and fade out when it loses speed. Thrown hyzer, this disc rides hyzer the entire flight. I'd rate this (5.5, 5, 0, 2)
The VIP Chameleon Warship when thrown flat in lower winds will turn a little bit, but fade out and eventually land dead straight. VIP Moonshine plastic is about the same level of stability as the Chameleon VIP, and normal VIP plastic is just a hair less overstable than it's Chameleon or Moonshine counterparts. I'd rate regular VIP Chameleon (5.5, 5.5, -0.5, 1)
Tournament Warships are a fair amount less overstable than any variation of the VIP plastics, but it will still start fading at the end of the flight and finish right of center (RHBH). However, when you beat in a tournament Warship it will turn into a midrange that slowly and controllable turn the entire flight. I'd rate a new tournament Warship (5.5, 5.5, -1, 1), but the current beat Tournament Warship I would rate a (5.5, 5.5, -2, 1)
Origio Warships are easily the least stable of any plastic this disc is offered in. When it's new, an Origio Warship will turn pretty hard, and start to flatten out by the end of the flight. Honestly I feel new Origio Warships fly like a new VIP Tursas (Tursas are rated 5, 5, - 3, 1), and only lose stability the more beat in they become.
Overall, this is a great mold that can be the only midrange mold you use without compromising on the flights you can get from it. As a bonus, the Tursas uses the same top mold and feels very similar to the Warship in your hand if you need something a little less stable than the Warship can offer you.
