I had a VIP Sorcerer that was very flat and pretty understable. So much so that I would typically only use it when I had a strong tailwind and even then would throw it on a hyzer flip. It did however give me several birdies on the toughest hole at our local course. I lost that disc and replaced it with a Tournament plastic one. It flies NOTHING like the last one I had. That's not necessarily a bad thing, as it still has a place in my bag, but it's much more stable and will get a small amount of turn before fading, but still has plenty of speed and glide. I'll throw this one into small amounts of headwind.

If you're looking for a great distance driver, this could be a great disc for you, but I can't guarantee which one you'll get, the understable version or the stable version.

Disc - 174 Westside Sorcerer Tournament Burst plastic

Got this recently as a mystery disc and it's quickly become a staple in the bag. As with most Westside discs, it flies a little more under-stable than the numbers would indicate. This allows for some nice hyzer flips and controlled corridor shots, or some long distance flex lines. Personally, I have a little trouble using it for power forehands since it has a tendency to turn over, but it's currently the go to for any distance backhand shot!

The Sorcerer feels a bit bulky in hand, but when thrown hard it can fly great. I don’t have the backhand strength, yet, to throw this as designed. I do love to throw the Sorcerer forehand though. It’s definitely overstable, as it flies straight then the last 20% is all fade. Newer players or those with slower arm speed won’t appreciate this disc, but power throwers with lots of room to work with will be able to bomb with the Sorcerer!

I love this disc!! For backhands I will use it for many shot, It you put a good amount of hyzer on it, it will hold that angle. I like to hyzer flip it. Put a little bit og hyzer on it, it will flip to flat and it will glide really straight then fade left really predictably. Thown flat it will act like and understable, by it glides right a little bit than fades hard left, but again the fade is predictable. If you throw it really hard, like super hard you may turn it over. In a direct headwind you want to put hyzer on it because thrown flat it will turnover in you. I love this disc it is amazing i get a lot of disctance out of it. I really suggest this disc for anyone. I would aso recommend this disc in the tournament burst plastic

This disc is not a super fast stable disc. This disc is suuuuuuper flippy. I have hyzer flipped it a few times and gotten good distance, but this thing is SO unpredictable and finnicky.

So, I have recently started using this as a flick forehand disc for heavily wooded areas and it works like a charm! I am able to control it well - nice turnover shots, or shots that need to hold an anny line - are perfect for this disc.

Overall, a solid disc that will work well for beginners or players with slower arm-speeds.

Oh, and the stamp is fire.

Threw this disc for maybe a week before taking it out of my bag. Way too understable for me. I've found that almost all of Westside's discs are more understable than their flight numbers reflect. As a distance driver I tend to put about all I've got in my arm into it, I also like to keep my distance drivers on low lines, and when I did that with this disc, it turned and burned every time. I tried to get it to work because the disc just looked so cool with the stamp and the burst design, but I never could. Oh well.

Welcome to Westside's response to the Innova Destroyer. This thing absolutely bombs, and the stability is enough to keep it for a near neutral flight with just a little left finish fade. This thing does not dive out of the air like some 3 fade drivers, this thing glides down in a really similar way to the Destroyer. Intermediate players this is your control bomber beyond a doubt. What cannot be overstated about this disc is hand comfort though. It is not a 2.4 rim driver, it's a 2.3. In my hands, for some reason, that is a huge difference in control for me. This thing has it all. Control, dependability, speed, glide. Worth a try right?
