Tournament is Westside's premium plastic. This is the equivalent of Gold line plastic from Latitude 64. It looks great, is very durable and provides a better grip than VIP plastic.

If you're looking for something overstable look elsewhere. It's a solid disc but not accurate to its numbers.

Pick one of these up used, so maybe its pretty beat in, but on first observation it was much more understable than I expected based on the numbers.

That being said once I realized this i was able to get some decent hyzer flips out of it. Still need to test it out more to get used to it but I think I can definitely get some use out of it in my bag.

For backhand I prefer the tournament plastic for the amazing grip, and for forehand i prefer the vip for the overstability. The tournament plastic beats in pretty quick, so it's possible to bag a few and have them all fly different. I have an old tournament plastic beat in sorcerer for hyzer flips, and i keep a new tournament plastic one in the bag for straight distance shots. I also have one in opto that i primarily use for flex forehands. Overall a very versitile disc.

I hate this disc. Flippyest thing I've ever thrown.

A lightweight, 168g, TP Sorcerer was my first distance driver. The sorcerer just feels great in the hand. Despite the speed 13 rating the rim width is not too wide and the profile is very comfortable.

As others have noted, the numbers for the sorcerer can be a bit misleading. For those who throw < 350 ft you'll see some turn with an equal forward penetrating fade for nice smooth S shaped shots. These hyzerflip beautifully for max distance. For those who throw >350 ft the sorcerer will be a finesse hyzerflip to turnover or tailwind disc.

The sorcerer does not handle winds very well.

I'd highly recommend this disc for people who like understable discs and beginners to high speed discs.

IF you have 400'+ power, this is gonna turn a lot. For me -it's  Stable -understable with fade.  like other Trilogy discs, it's less OS than the numbers suggest. I like it with a hyzer release to get  a long straight hyzer-flip type shot with some fade. It's touchy, though. It will hold a long anny if you give it room underneath.

I have 4, and they cover lots of varying lines. A light vip air turns a lot. Recycled turns some and fade. Tournament turns a little less and heavy VIP turns the least.  All have predictable reliable fade.  Like most trilogy discs, I subtract -20% from whatever turn rating published.

My initial review was based on throwing this disc (174 tournament plastic) in cold weather, and in that regard yes, this disc will turn a ton and really show little sign of fighting out of it. When the weather got warmer here I gave it another shot, and although it did turn quite a bit, it had a virtually identical flight path to my moonshine king that I use for a long turnover driver; but considering how this disc has the same top mold and depth as the world I use a ton, the 174 tournament sorcerer made its way into my bag.

Since plastic type changes the way many trilogy molds fly quite a bit, I decided to try the sorcerer in VIP plastic assuming it would be more stable than the tournament sorcerer that found its way into my bag. After throwing a 174 VIP sorcerer quite a bit, it threw much closer to Westside's flight ratings. Although the VIP sorcerer shows some turn (I'd rate it about - 0.5), I would agree with all other aspects of the flight ratings Westside gave it. Mind you this is in warm weather,  and I would expect the high speed stability to decrease significantly in colder, more dense air. The VIP and Tournament Sorcerers complement each other really well (tournament is understate, VIP is basically stable) , and in weather over 40-45 degrees they will be in my bag.

I only have 350' power but typically release with a lot of snap, and this disc in max weight just turns and burns for me. Even releasing with as much hyzer as possible, this disc will still turn, and never fight out of it. I should have remembered how understable Westside is when compared to their given flight ratings.

Started out nice, but it turns over way too much every time I throw it now.

My go to driver right now. I don't throw as hard as most, so this is a perfect driver to get distance. Snap it harder you can get it to turn over nicely for those ani holes. Take a little off of it and it'll S curve with a beautiful shape to it. Love the tourney plastic feel. Highly recommended for beginner to intermediate players.

Finally took a chance on some Westside plastic and couldn't believe how far I could throw the Sorcerer. It's become my go to driver.

I carry two tournament sorcerers in my bag right now. Tournament plastic seems to be more under stable than the vip plastic so my 168 sorcerer will turnover pretty hard if i don't give it a little hyzer. I'm still trying to find the right time to throw this disc because it tends to get flippy in in crosswinds and headwinds...does great in a tailwind but right now i still throw either a king or trespass for distance even though i have bombed this disc on several occasions. If you want a high speed tailwind driver that'll fly straight with a nice finish and glide for days grab a sorcerer.
