Part Underworld, part Hatchet. With a play off of the success of the Underworld, this fairway driver uses the same upper-mold, but the Hatchet is slightly faster, and more stable.

This is a bit of a strange disc. In heavier weights out of the box there really isn't much this thing can't do. Hyzer - flip to straight for 300 ft, hold a huge glide anhyzer and fade back the last 30 feet, power down get a real nice slight hyzer, really crank and get this thing to roll, 50 foot putt even, it can do it all. The thing is, it doesn't do any of those things better than any number of other discs geared for those specific shots. It's a fun disc to take to the field and just throw different shots with and would probably make a great one disc round, but other than that I am not sure this disc has a home in a lot of bags.

The Hatchet is incredibly straight and can also be used for turnovers. It's a really good distance driver for beginners, and bigger arms will find it to be a useful utility mold. The Hatchet will hold just about any angle. Powered up, it can be hyzer flipped for tunnel shots or bombed with a tailwind. It's an understable mold, so it obviously doesn't do great in strong winds.

I have Hatchets in Tournament plastic and Elasto. Elasto has a better combination of grip and durability. Tournament looks almost too nice to throw and might get a little more distance on account of it being more understable and glidey. The Tournament Hatchet was the first disc I could get to stay turned over on long turnover shots. With enough snap at the proper angle, it would produce an amazing amount of glide and hold the anhyzer angle all the way to the ground. Not enough power behind it would result in flattening out and fading as it started losing spin.

Both Elasto and Tournament Hatchets are hyzer flip laser beams on a very tight S-curve. They'll flip up, turn, flatten out, then usually finish dead straight ahead. Without as much power, flex shots and hyzers are possible.

The Hatchet is very fast when thrown with enough power, and can perform a variety of shots for players of all skill levels. Players without great arm speed would probably benefit from a Hatchet in the 165 gram range. While faster arms will need max weights and hyzer flips for best results. The Hatchet is a versatile mold that can fill multiple slots in the bag.
