The Giant is a great overstable distance driver. This disc is fast and can handle even 'Giant' throws. This driver is also good for controlled curving and fade shots, flicks, and battling strong headwinds.

Bought this disc to be my overstable driver, and it quickly became my go to max distance driver! It has great glide for its stability and the tournament plastic beats in really well. I am not much of a forehand thrower, but when my brother comes to play rounds with me he loves to borrow one of the 4 Giants i have in my bag. This is a very reliable disc, but does not often produce huge skips like other overstable 13 speed drivers, this is something i really enjoy about this mold. It is a great disc as long as you can throw drives between 350 and 400 feet.

I was skeptical about buying this disc because of the intimidating numbers, but I bought it for headwind drives.

Boy oh boy am I glad that I did though.

First off, don't let the numbers scare you! As with most westside discs, the numbers are off. I'd say it it more of a S12 G5 T-.5 F3.5

It is a little more flippy than you'd think. Then again, tournament plastic generally is.

That said, this is a great headwind driver and all around driver.

Feels great in the hand, grippy, not too big of a rim.

Glides good. Stays up and straight for a while before a strong finishing fade. Very reliable.

    Nice, strong, overstable disc.

    Will probably bag more soon.

This is an amazing disc, that I dont bag lol. I a firm believer that I need multiples of anything I am going to throw, so this has never made the bag. I am currently staying away from high speeds except for feild work. This disc is one of my farthest flyers. Thrown in to a moderadte headwing this fight through and finishes with just a touch of fade. In no wind I get fairly straight lines with a nice flare. Small er arms/ new players should not need this except for those windy days.

This thing absolutely bombs. It is very overstable to the point that I seriously doubt that any intermediate player can possibly turn this thing over completely even in a headwind. But! The glorious thing about this disc is that it does have a very slight high speed turn to it. I am able to get this thing to flip up to flat for about 1 second of flight time before it starts its looooong glide fade out left. And I do mean long. It has a very gradual fade out due to its remarkable glide which I must say has become automatic with any Trilogy disc. For my overstable shots I had been using a L64 Cutlass and getting it about 325 out there, and with this thing I honestly was expecting about the same. But with the glide and just touch of high speed turn on it I got it about 350 out on each of my practice throws with it today. I'll always love my Cutlass, but this thing has just opened up a new realm of possibilities with how far an overstable driver can go for me. Expect... Giant... Distances!

The Giant might be Westside's best overall long range driver. Its fast and has great glide, but isn't as finicky as the Destiny, King, or Queen. The Giant can handle big rips without flipping. It will turn a bit, but fades reliably at the end of its flight. Very similar to a Nuke or Boss in flight characteristics.

Not really a disc for beginners. The Giant isn't some magical elixir for 50' extra or anything, but it will reliably cover whatever distance you already have. However, unless you throw 350-375' already the Giant is probably too much disc.

Highly recommended for Boss or Nuke throwers who want to try the closest thing Westside has to those two models.

Great disc that achieves overstability, without being a meat hook.   Can be thrown for good distance while maintaining the reliable fade.   Great for forehand and backhand, very comfortable rim.  May have issues in severe wind.

This was my favorite disc I threw in 2016! I can launch it and not worry about it turning over. It's great for shots in the wind, or shots you need to go left. Very dependable and predictable, but you have to have quite the arm to throw it!

This disc is one that is too overstable for my style. It has nice length and a great skip but I did not get much distance out of it because it was such a meat hook for me. If you have the extra arm speed to counteract being so overstable this would be a great distance disc for you.

The Giant is a fantastic high speed disc that finishes with a strong fade. I'd consider it as slightly more stable than a Discraft Crank even when beaten in. This disc does not generate as much lift as a Boss as the numbers suggest. Otherwise it is definitely worth seeing whether it works for you.

This is one of my favorite discs and a go-to disc off the tee with or without wind.  When they are new they are VERY overstable. It will pretty much start turning as soon as it leave the hand but it turns left not right for a RHBH throw.  I have one that is nicely beat in and it now holds a straight line with just a slight S curve. I would say this is an excellent disc for power throwers or someone that needs something very dependably overstable. It also works great as a skip shot disc.

This review is based on my experience throwing a 175g tournament Giant. Lower weight discs may feel less overstable.

I have a tournament Giant, and I love the plastic, the stamp is fantastic, and it's got a great hand feel. I can get it oh there as far as any disc on a FH throw, it's just not even in the same realm of over stability as an Ape or XCal, and that's what I was kind of hoping for. Not that it's floppy, but it does have some high speed turn, and I don't care for any on my FH throws Good disc, just not the meat hook I was hoping for.
