The Viking Thunder God Thor is a very fast distance driver with an ultra-wide rim. This is a driver that you can trust to fade out at the end of the flight, even if released at an anhyzer angle. Advanced players looking for maximum distance will want to try throwing the Thunder God Thor.

    Viking Air Details

Viking Air plastic is a lightweight version of Storm plastic with added air (small bubbles) in the disc rim in order to make the disc lighter without compromising its designed flight characteristics. It is a very durable blend that will maintain the same disc flight for a long time, even after playing heavily wooded courses. This is a clear transparent plastic with a glimmering shine.

It's hard to say if the Fade should be rated higher than listed on the disc or if it's just because I haven't the arm speed for this 14-speed driver; but I've used a Ballista and Corvette for 3-4 years (also 14-speeds), and comparing the Thor with some other newly acquired fast, overstable discs (Outlaw & Rampage) I still think I'd bump up its fade a bit. The disc is high quality and I always like the Storm -- or now this Storm Air -- plastic. Nothing wrong with the disc and I think it merits its flight numbers; but I just think it's meant for bigger arms and power forehands in order to get the most out of it. I found that I could get it to go farther than the Outlaw & Rampage before it faded hard (and skipped hard); that might be due to the lighter Air plastic enabling me to get bit a more speed/force behind it. This type of plastic seems pretty durable, though my Cosmos in Storm plastic took one really hard hit into a curb and it's Turn factor changed by probably 3 points; so maybe the Thor will prove to be more useful for me and other intermediate, moderate-distance players after getting beat in a bit first. Beginners could find a use for it getting around tight turns, but there are probably better, slower discs for them to achieve that; and in general, I think they'd have a dreadful time trying to tackle a disc like this.
