The Nordic Warrior is a very stable midrange that can take a lot of power and still fade back at the end of the flight. Viking claims that this disc is "not overstable, but you can really feel the control on big hyzers and windy situations." This mid is comfortable for, and works well for both backhand and forehand throws.

The warrior is my favorite mid range disc that I have ever thrown. It's fade is very reliable when thrown at any angle. The disc is very torque resistant. Thrown from a flat release, the warrior will give you a very slight flex followed by a reliable but not overpowering fade. For a beginner I would guess that this disc would fly very true to it's numbers.

I've had a tough time throwing slow speed discs I recently picked up a Roc and it doesn't fly well out of the hand for me. I can't get a clean release, but the Warrior is feels very similar to a Roc but is a tad shallower which helps my release. The Armor plastic I love for my mid range shots smooth mold with a less rubbery grip like star or g-star plastic. I can confidently throw this disc 300 feet backhand with a slight fade at the end, or put more on the disc and have it turn over for me and trust it not to turn into a roller.

Pros: Great feel in Armor plastic, Glides with little effort

Cons: Power throwers beware, bad flight with a sloppy release

I have this in 173g armor plastic. I cannot rave enough about this disc. It is true to it's numbers and is probably the most used disc in my bag behind my putter. It's very versatile on it's uses. I can get this to fly further than any other mid-range in my bag! I can get it as far as most of my fairway drivers. I use this disc as my driving putter, on most of my approaches outside 100ft of basket, and is great for short distance anhyzers.

I trusted this disc to be my only disc in a recent 2 disc challenge I competed in. It is that good. Pick up a Nordic Warrior today to see what I'm talking about!

I don't understand why Viking Discs isn't a household name yet. I have thrown up-and-coming brands before that don't quite make the cut as far as quality and consistency among the other big manufacturers, but Viking Discs, is not that! This brand is legit! I have thrown 8 different molds by Viking Discs and I would recommend all of them to anyone! Their plastics feel great, and the flights are amazing as well. Not to mention the sick stamps on every disc! Do yourself a favor and try some Viking Discs!

Now... on to the Warrior. Of the 8 molds I have thrown my Viking Discs, this one is probably my least favorite, but that does not mean it's not a good disc. The flight of this thing is quite beefy. More so than I feel the numbers claim. Which is probably a good thing for someone looking for an overstable mid. If you need something to hook up for you and get you out of tricky situations, this is your disc! Its perfect for one of those get out of trouble shots that you don't want a whole lot of ground play on. Sleep on your bed, not Viking Discs. Pick some Viking Discs soon!
