I will start this by saying I won this disc from a putting competition. I got to pick a free vibram disc to be sent. I asked for a soft ridge, what I got was 162g. Not exactly the ideal weight for a putter.

That said, however, I love this disc. I chose a soft ridge for the purpose of being the disc I throw for approaches that I need to sit. The soft rubber is a taco. I hits the ground and stays put. Thrown flat and low, it hugs the ground. Put some air on it on a spike hyzer, it hits with a PLOP and stays there. This disc takes the finger crossing out of dangerous greens. I actually ended up enjoying the light weight of this disc. I do not need to give it much to get it where I need it to go. I would not putt with it- the soft rubber is just too floppy for a consistent release.

The soft Ridge totally changed my approach game, and I am reaching for it more and more, not just on dangerous greens either!

I didn't start with this disc but it stuck in the bag and eventually became number one. I have a 169 grams soft because I haven't be able to get heavier in my hands. It's over stable at a putting range and will do a flat line for 250 when pushed, it will surprise you how far it can hold a line. In the wind it handles like all disc with a 0 turn and 1 fade, strong hyzer needed to keep from riding the wind. When thrown from 50 feet or less it only shows its true line when you throw with confidence, otherwise it fades out fast. This disc is not the easiest thing to learn but it is the most forgiving, when it impacts anything it drops to the ground so missed shots turn into easy make-up shots. That being said you can't throw it thru a brush, pull something else out for that. But it those impress when you need to bend it around something or when you need a disc that is as comfortable back hand as forward hand. Once I learned it's flying patterns I was able to use it as the best approach putter I've tried. A slight anhyzer is needed at putting to keep it straight and hyzer for long shots. Everyone in the course will want to take a shot with it to see what its like and it's pretty instant the love hate for it. I recommend it for beginners and old timers. But be warn this disc will last forever because of it's ability to take damage and because of that it's braking in time is longer then other discs. It took me 5 months of abuse to the initial grip it comes with down to a smooth grippy surface that gives endless grip but still flies out of your hand smoothly.

This is Vibram's most stable putter and I like it a lot. The disc flies almost dead straight then fades a little at the end but not much. The plastic of the disc I liked, I've had every Vibram putter before and the Ridge is my favorite. I would recommend this disc to everyone.

The ridge is one of the best driving putters i own. I have mine in the x-Link soft material and i love it. The Material of this disc (x-link Soft)is great. Its a little floppy but it helps the disc stick in the chains and if it hits a tree or almost anything else for that matter it just dies on the spot. Its really helpfull because it doesnt fall and become a roller and put you at 20' beyond the basket which has happend using other putters. The Flight path is great. Its very straight with minimal fade at the end. Ive also found that it being in the Soft plastic i can not be afraid to put some heat on it and it wont fly all crazy and stay true to the path. I highly recommend giving it a try in the soft plastic. I dont think youll be dissapointed.

I bought one of these in the X-Link soft material, and I am coming to really appreciate the properties of the rubber. If you hit chains, it's dropping right now. Also, if you overshoot the basket, as I often do, you will find that the disc hits and sticks fast. Fun putter.
