The Mantra by Thought Space Athletics will fly straight at a manageable speed for new players but will have a more understable flight for experience throwers. It can be used for precision drives or for anhyzer lines and power rollers. It's an all-purpose driver with great glide that feels and flies wonderfully.

This review is going to cover three different plastics. Aura, Ethereal and Ethos.

Aura - I picked this one up used and it was a flatter run of Mantras. Still feels great and beaten in Aura gets more grippy. It's understable enough to flip up to flat, ride straight, then gently fade out. My average was around 310-320ft.

Ethereal - This is the most stable out of the bunch. Won't really flip up but holds angles well. It did fight out of anhyzer for me at the very end. Does nicely on a forehand too. My average was around 290-315ft.

Ethos - The most understable of the bunch. I love the Mantra in Ethos. It can get a little squirrely in the wind, but makes for an excellent tailwind bomber. It just goes and goes. Will flip up and over if you're not careful. Big sky anhyzer lines are pretty sick. My average was around 330-340ft with my longest throw being 360ft.

    Final Thoughts:

Mold minimizing works well with the Mantra. It's my favorite 9 speed and can fit in any player's bag with ease. It's so good and TSA of course makes awesome stamps.

There are plenty of discs to choose from that fit this slot of understable 9 speed, but the Mantra in my opinion is hands down one of the best. Mine is in Aura plastic and feels incredibly comfortable in the hand. Very useful for hyzerflips in the woods, and you can really push some distance out of it if you put some extra juice into it. Works great as a roller disc for advanced players, and as a reliable driver with a little bit of fade for slow arm speeds. Overall very high quality, and super versatile.

My go to driver, period. The way it stands up and just flies forever is keeping it as mt go to driver. Throw it flat to hit some great RBH left to right lines or throw it on a hyzer to get a consistent hyzer flip up. Love this disc.

I am a sucker for an awesome stamp! I was looking for a more understable disc for my bag. I mainly threw an Alfa Cosmic & that disc is a pretty straight flyer. The Mantra on a hyzer has such an amazing flight. As an intermidate player I can get a little over 300+ feet out of my drives with the Mantra.

The aura plastic feels great & is relatively easy to throw even for beginners. I highly recommend this disc.

If you are a beginner to intermediate player this could be an ideal fairway/control driver for you. I found it to be very straight with a lot of glide at medium power or on hyzer, and at full power it holds the turn all the way to the ground but with good distance.

I was easily getting 350-375 out of it on a mild hyzer and it worked a lot of lines.

It's flippier than I like for forehand shots but still, I think it it could work for finesse flip ups.

Not a disc I would bag regularly, but one of the first ones I would loan out to an athletic friend starting out.

I love this disc so much. As a newer player this was my go to driver for a long time, and still is on days where I'm not feeling confident with my Wraiths for whatever reason. I love throwing this on a baby hyzer and watching it flip up, maybe turn a little, and then just carry flat forever. I also love this on a big hyzer if you give it enough hight to let it finish. It will flip up and ride super far if you let it! I don't really trust this on a backhand turnover or forehand personally, but I've seen people throw some great rollers with it. I definitely recommend this for newer to intermediate players. Experienced players will enjoy it too, but it probably won't be as much of a go to for them.

One of my favorite disc in the bag. Aura plastic feel great in the hand, durable, easy to maintain grip. Manufacturing and stamp quality are best on the market!

With average arm speed, on a hyzer release, this disc will flip and push to add some distance to your throw. Flat release, disc will turn and fade to give you a nice S-flight. Annhyzer release, disc will hold the turn to the last moment and flatten out.

Go to disc for all situations, open or wooded.

    excellent

I love this disc...absolutely love it, and I carry three in my bag.  I am a bit of a Thought Space nut, but I don't throw their discs simply because I am being brand loyal.  My bag is very mixed.  This disc is just good.  If you throw hard and have a lot of power, it will be rather flippy but still reliable and controllable.  If you are more medium power and distance, this could be the straightest and most reliable tunnel shot disc you've ever thrown, and even if you are a power player, when you need touch and shot shaping, this disc is fabulous.

great glide, excellent quality plastic with a bit of a stiff but sort of gummy feel.  I love the aura plastic.

Very friendly disc to players looking for a higher speed disc. I've been able to find the right hyzer release that flips this right up and glide straight for what seems like forever. For full flight open up to the left and throw this flat, once beaten in this thing will give a turn out of the hand and fade out just at the tail end of the flight path. I rated the speed closer to the 8 as I found it much easier to control with my slow arm.

This is TSA's ultimate beginner disc. In other words, if TSA had a starter pack, this would one to make it in. In the Aura plastic it comes out of the box already so flippy. There is no need to break this disc in. I use it mostly for flex back hands and hyzer flips. As always, TSA's artwork is insane and their discs are top tier.

This has become one of my favorite drivers recently.  I can get a lot of action out of this one and really enjoy the grip of the aura plastic.  All of the stamps are pretty rad as well.

If you want to throw a banging hyzer flip, this is the disc for you, I haven't found a single disc that can flip as nicly as this one can. The aura plastic is so grippy and feels very nice in the hand. Plus the stamp is uber cool. All in all. Get this disc it slaps

Quickly becoming a 'go-to' disc for me, whether I'm selecting something to send off the teebox, or packing a small bag for a quick round.

Starting off with flight characteristics, it's true to the numbers. The 8 speed is manageable for my noodle arm, and with a proper hyzer flip, you can really wring the distance out of this disc.

Hand feel is good. For me, that means a smaller rim size (8 speed, slightly beefier than a Teebird/Explorer), and a flat top. My Discraft Heats (Big Z, Tour Z) have a noticeable more amount of dome than my Mantras (I own all the plastics for the Mantra). That flatter top keeps this disc comfortable and secure in the hand for forehand flicks too.

Plastics are all top notch. The Aura is becoming my go-to of the bunch just for having a little extra grip, but the Ethos is a great Z/Champion style plastic with a little more durability and firm hand feel.

As for looks, Thought Space Athletics is making waves for their artwork. Some really killer looks to these discs. As an added bonus, InfiniteDiscs did a simple "TS" mini-stamp on a run of Aura, which are a little less flashy, and let the plastic show itself off. Regardless of your style - bold or reserved - one of these stamps should fit your bag well.

This is a great understable driver for long straight shots or annhyzers to finish flat. It feels almost between a distance driver and fairway in the hand, which is very comfortable for me.  The Aura plastic is some of the best I've thrown, like a gummier Innova Star or Kastaplast K1.  Its a step towards understable from my Undertaker and a good straight disc when the wind is down.  Its one of the main discs I learned to hyzer flip with as well as tomahawks. There are other discs out there that can do almost exactly what the Mantra does for me, but the plastic alone makes it one of my favorites discs.  Its also likely a great first "distance" driver for newer players.

I LOVE THIS DISC! I was looking for a nice glidey 9 speed, and the art work caught my and I had to have it. This is a great distance disc for a beginner or slower arm speeds. I can throw about 350 on a good crush right now, and this is one of my consistent discs for that speed. I was previously throwing a Lat 74 Bryce (virtually exact same flight numbers), but this disc seems to have a little better flight for me. It's very comfortable in the hand, and super easy to control. It has a great turn with a good reliable fade. This is also a disc that doesn't punish you too bad if you grip lock or early release it. It seems to find it's way back to the fairway. This is a staple in my bag...

Got this as a mystery disc and was really surprised at its flight compared to similarly rated discs. This has very little fade and a long reliable turn. Its great for turning corners if you don't yet have a reliable forehand or anhyzer, and is a great disc to develop your hyzer flip game on. That said I think something like a Saint is probably more reliable for beginners/noodle arms looking for a pure distance thrower, this should be used more as a gadget play, but fits that role marvelously.

This is an absolute banger of a disc. I can get this to go 400 with a small/medium arm. The numbers are almost exactly correct when thrown with speed, it turns right and has a slight comeback but will finish further right than where you were pointing. This thing also hyzer flips like an absolute champ and unless you have a very large arm it isn't so flippy as to burn out on you. The Aura plastic is very grippy but also very durable as I have smacked a few trees and it has shown no sign of warping or flaying. The glide on this disc is phenomenal but I wouldn't throw it into any kind of strong headwind because of it.

Also I got my first ever 250 ft plus ace with this disc, so it has to be good right?

This is an awesome beginner disc! It’ll fly straight and finish with consistent fade every throw for newer players. More experienced players will be able shape shots off the tee or from the fairway. Mantra in ETHOS plastic is trustworthy backhand or forehand and is a must throw for anyone looking to branch out and try new brands of discs.

This is, at the moment, my favorite disc for sure.  Understable enough for a beginner like me to easily and reliably hyzer-flip it, and let it sail.  It's the first disc I broke 400' with, and it just releases so smooth off the hand.  Has a good flip up to flat, or turn to the right, but not too severely.  I dont forehand it too much, though I'm sure it would be great for that, too.

I have one in each type of plastic TSA offers, but I am leaving my review for the Aura plastic, as it's my personal favorite.  It's a bit gummy, but doesn't feel too soft for me.  It has a great grip and feels awesome in the hand.  Definitely a bit more flex than the Ethos plastic, somewhat similar in flex to the Ethereal if you managed to get a disc with that plastic, but has more grip than Ethereal.

It would also be impossible for me to not say how awesome these discs look.  TSA has, in my opinion, the best stamps in the game, so these dont disappoint.

Great disc for players with average arm speed, but too understable as a thrower if you throw big distance.

Excellent disc have this in every available plastic including the one from the vip club.  Holds the line you throw it on with a very light fade at the end.  Even with lower arm speeds this disc seems to perform well.  Excellent first showing from a company that has produced some very nice artwork for other companies.

    What a Surprise!

I grabbed one of these on Black Friday sale, admittedly it was for the stamp.  But you know how it goes....you open the box and think "well I'll just do nice test throw and then put it on the wall"  Well I release this thing flat with 90% power at one end of a football field and the HST was on full display right away.  More understable than the -2 suggests for me.  HOWEVER, it never turned and burned it held the turn flat right across the field then faded about 20% of the way back to the left.  It was amazing.  I threw it with several understable fairways.  (Falk, Flipperi, F7, Drift, 2nd run Mint Alpha)  This disc had 20-30ft of more distance and never turned into a roller, even up to max power.

Excellent disc in a bag spot that is pretty tricky to fill
