This is a longer Thunderbird, not a beat in Wraith. This Driver is great for Intermediate-Advanced players to get some reliable distance in your shot. It excels in open windy fairways and long park style shots. If you're looking for a bread and butter long distance shot this may be the one for you! Proton or Neutron will offer you the best mix of overstability and comfort, and I found that Cosmic Neutron tended to be the most understable in my throws

This is one of those discs that you can always fall back on no matter the condition. No matter what you got ahead of you, the trace probably has you covered. It's one of the straightest flying distance drivers on the market and can really glide if it catches the wind correctly. In many cases I wouldn't say it's the best choice for distance (being that it makes the trade-off for accuracy instead). But if you have that one tunnel-like 400-500ft hole at your local course. You could definitely benefit from having a trace. You could also make the comparison to a beat-in wraith, very straight and nothing other than clean release each time. My only issue with it is the fact that my trace sticks like a rock and doesn't really like to skip. Although that could be beneficial to some people, usually I would want a skip on the drive just to get a little further out. Overall, though a really solid disc that can find a comfortable spot in anyone's bag.

The Trace is Streamlines flagship distance driver. This neat little 11 speed contends in the "beat in Wraith" slot which is many peoples workhorse driver. The Trace is an excellent option in this category. Out of the box you can expect a very straight disc with a dependable but not overbearing finishing fade. This beats in nicely into a very nice S flight on a well juiced shot.

If you're tired of scouring used bins for beat in wraiths or flat out just can't find any try picking up a Trace. Of the MVP family of discs, this is finest distance driver they have ever produced.

This is a disc that surprised me and keeps fighting to be in my bag. I bought a 171g Proton. I throw 10-11 speeds around 320-370 ft.

This disc didn't fit the slot I was hoping to use it and didn't fit that well in my bag, but I really like it and have been adjusting my bag as a result. I really like the feel of this disc, and while I have tried/enjoyed Axiom/MVP in the past, the feel of this disc is driving me to try more single-mold discs manufactured in MVP plastic. I am very happy with this slightly stiff, Proton plastic.

The way that this disc surprise me was that my Trace turned more than I expected. I hoped it might power down to replace my CD2- while it didn't fit that slot, I found it flew similar but more consistent than my CD3. At the end of the day, I just really enjoy this disc. Sometimes I find it tough to control, but other times it gives a turn/fade flight that is hard to get with the rest of my discs. On a good hyzerflip, it almost flies as far as my max distance drivers, which is crazy.

I am considering building in a speed 10-11 slot (rather than a speed 9 slot). I just bought a TSA Animus and it is a great stable pairing to the Trace. Hoping to build the slot (from understable to stable) as a Trace, then Animus, then Longhorn.

In comparison to a Color Glow Shryke, I would describe this as a shorter, slightly more stable than average Shryke with a bit more fade.

This is a fantastic, flat stable driver. It seems to handle the wind quite well, never really flipping too hard even in a strong headwind. I am primarily a BH player, throwing around 270-280 on average with 11-12 speed discs. Once you are able to get a good amount of spin on this disc, it follows the numbers... straight with a little turn and a nice gentle fade. The fade on this disc is quite reliable and will overcome any turn due to an anhyzer release or heavy headwinds. The proton plastic also feels quite nice, having a good grip and being quite durable.

Bought this disc, and aced the 18th hole the second round it was ever used. I'm predominantly a backhand thrower, but I like having a couple forehand discs. The Trace immediately felt fantastic out of the hand. Once it leaves, it just keeps going.

To me, Streamline has the most comfortable plastic in the industry. It is so comfortable and enables you to have a fantastic grip. This disc has a pretty similar feel to a Wraith, but I can get a little more distance with my Wraith. If I feel like my grip is a little in question, I will often choose my Trace.

The fade on this disc seems to me to be a little stronger than the 2 that is listed. Once you are used to it, this disc finishes very consistently. This disc also skips very well off harder surfaces, which can sometimes be a useful advantage. This is a great disc to have in the bag.

I have a 168 Proton SL Trace that I'm really liking for the under stable 11 speed spot. Manageable turn at speed, nice control when dialed back. I compare it to a more stable and more comfortable Innova Archon. I'll be using this a lot when there is room for turn down the fairway. And, the plastic is so pretty! It feels slick at first. Sink your grip in and it feels great.

I'm new to disc golf but have played Ultimate for a long time. I'm an unusual player in that my forehand has always been much stronger than my backhand. As I got into disc golf, I found myself trying to find a disc that could take the torque of my forehand while being controllable and the Trace nails that slot.

The Trace flies straight as an arrow and reliably finishes with a soft fade. It has never once flipped over on me. My only minor complaint about it is that if I use less than full power it fades too quickly to get decent distance on it. This can make accuracy a little difficult at times.

Overall The Trace is a solid disc. The Proton SL never seems to show any wear no matter how many times I slam it full force into trees. The plastic is top notch like every product under the MVP Umbrella.

Played with it today and to add to my previous review, played much better backhand with it than fore hand. With my forehand, need a decent hyzer on it to get it to flatten out. Could be challenging for beginners. Will need less hyzer as it breaks in but I am enjoying this new addition to my bag. The color doesn't hurt either! The green clear looks as good as the plastic feels.

This ended up being the one disc I found locally that had the best feel in the hand. As my arm speed has developed a bit from a few months ago (only been playing this year), all my previous drivers are now a little too understable for me to throw. After throwing it in the field a few times and played a few rounds with it, it would seem it's JUST SLIGHTLY too OS for me, but I'm almost there, look forward to throwing a little further and then this disc will be spot on. For reference, I throw RHBH 325-340 consistently and about the same RHFH, not going to dock the disc for this though as it deserves 5 stars and I can tell that it's going to be one of my favorites.

Got this disc when I was brand new to disc golf, despite the recommendations not to throw drivers, and of course I immediately struggled with it and removed it from my bag. As an above-average amateur now, I've found that this disc provides a ton of use. I especially love it for forehand drives, and have found that the stiffness of the rim makes it easy to give the disc a lot of torque and have it stay smooth out of the hand. Has a reliable flight, great overall disc.

Ok.... So I am surprised I haven't left a review yet for this disc yet. I got this disc as a mystery disc this summer. It felt great in the hand and has a very nice and easy flight right out of the box. When I need a mostly straight drive, I go to this disc. I've let others use it and everyone loves it. I get the Wraith similarities that others have mentioned. Another great part is that Streamline discs are very affordable. I would go ahead and get one and get ready to buy a backup. The only thing I would like to see is a glow plastic, but that is probably because I can't use it now that it is dark when I get up and when I get home from work. I don't know when or how this will leave my day bag. I also had my longest drive with this disc.

The Trace is an absolute steal of a distance driver. The Trace has a thinner rim for a distance driver and its grip feels great forehand and back hand. The wing shape is pretty neutral and in the Proton plastic at max weight the disc is a great pairing for someone with my armspeed (in the 400ft range).

The Trace excels at being very easy to control, it has a very straight flight to it paired with a mild fade. It flips up if you throw it hard and it holds straight for a bit and then fades predictably. On flat shots this disc flies on a smooth S curve. On Anhyzer it will hold that line and extend the S curve a bit but will fade nicely. I think the trace is perfect for a mainstay distance driver in the Am field, I think with more power this disc will likely prove to be a bit less stable and would work great in an understable spot. As far as trick shots go it will do most admirably in the limited use I have tried it with, it makes a great forehand distance driver also offering great distance if you can throw a nice flat side arm.

The Trace will handle most wind conditions well as long as they are moderate it will flip a bit more in a headwind and it has nice glide so a more worn/lower weight one will hold well in a tailwind.

This disc is a great first distance driver and a great driver for those with moderate armspeed. I still do not think it is particularly beginner friendly as the speed will prove to take out most of that nice highspeed straightness when thrown slower than necessary beginners keep it on the radar but stay away until you break into the 350ft realm.

Overall the Trace is a solid distance driver and one that absolutely earns its praise. I think it's multitool nature will be useful to almost all skill levels and the lower than normal price for the Streamline molds makes this a disc that is easy to stock up on. 5/5 stars

I got to go play a round of disc golf with a pair of Trace's, both in Neutron and in Proton plastic. I really enjoyed throwing them and feel like it is a good way to launch a new disc lineup for Streamline, with a fairly straight, manageable distance driver.

The "speed 11" spot is one that I tend to ignore generally. I have fairways in the 7-9 range, and then I jump up to the 12-14 speed discs. So, when I first got the Trace and threw it at full power, I felt it was rather understable, flying like my beat-in King, or Destiny, pulling to the understable side and not fading back much at all.

However, I then realized that I was probably throwing the disc harder than it was designed to handle, I backed off, and suddenly it was flying exactly as advertised. It usually finished straight, or with a gentle fade at the end for a slightly overstable landing. I think that it is the kind of distance driver that newer to intermediate players could pick up and throw with a good degree of success. It will not handicap them with more turn and fade than expected.

The Trace is a strong release from Streamline as an introductory distance driver. I can see myself using it frequently in the future.

Note: I also threw into a head-wind a couple of times and the Trace definitely didn't fight though it-- it blew to the understable side and didn't fade back. So, I wouldn't recommend it as a wind fighter. You usually need a more overstable disc going into the wind.

Streamline Discs are here! And I got to go out and throw the new Streamline Trace today. The Trace I was throwing was in the new Proton plastic. I'd say the Proton plastic feels great, and it reminded me a lot of a stiff run of Champion plastic from Innova. I hit a few trees, and the disc held up very well.

The Trace was a great disc, and I think this is a great disc for Streamline to use as their first driver release. I thought it flew true to the flight numbers, except maybe with a little more turn. That also might be because I was throwing one marked at 169g, while I usually throw drivers closer to 175g, and it was a bit windy. But even still, I found the Trace to be very workable. One of my favorite throws was on a big anhyzer line down a narrow fairway. It held the initial release very well, while gradually straightening out and finishing with a nice soft fade. It reminds me of a GStar Krait I used to keep in my bag. It also carries a lot of glide for an 11 speed disc. I was able to get it out just about as far as my max distance drivers that I use. So overall, the Trace is a solid disc. It is a straight flier that I think will find a home in lots of disc golf bags.
