If you can afford it, this is the best practice basket you can get. I got my used from someone who was moving, but If i had the money, this would be the practice basket I would have purchased for my 9 hole farm course.  It is as high of quality as the permanent baskets you find on pro courses.

This is a great basket.  It is very sturdy and pretty easy to transport with the attached wheel.  This is a basket I feel very confident putting into.  There are 2 sets of chains, inner and outer, and they give a great comparison to tournament baskets.  I have been to several tournaments with temporary holes, and when they have recruits on them, I have never complained nor heard any other competitor complain about them.

The chains are heavy and the basket is deep.  When I practice on this basket and miss, it's because I stink, not the basket.

This also gets bonus points for tear down and assembly.  There are a total of 3 bolts that need taken out to break it down.  Overall, this is an excellent basket.

I didn't purchase mine through Infinite Discs, but I do own this exact basket, and it's been one of the best decisions I've made! I don't think you'll find a better portable basket out there that equals if not surpasses what you'll find out on the courses you play. I'd put it on par with a DD Patriot or Veteran basket; very similar!

It is very heavy, but that's what you want, right? You want it to be sturdy and solid so it feels like a real basket, not a piece of junk. The wheel definitely helps with moving it around. I always bring mine inside (the garage) when I'm done using it so it will last even longer keeping it out of the elements.

I'm very happy with my basket, and if you're looking to get one for yourself, spend the little bit of extra money and get the Recruit! You won't regret it!

Boy am I glad I grabbed this basket. This has enhanced my putting a few notches up from 30 to foot putts and my overall scores when playing has gone down to. Catches putts great and makes playing authentic chain banging noises when banging chains! So far we have had snow and seeing my basket covered in snow and knowing it was okay. Great investment to practice putting and more in your yard. This would be the basket to get for outdoors. Course its out of stock at the moment. So another positive that this is a great basket to have!

This basket was a huge step up for me.  For the past 2 years I've been putting with a Discmania Lite basket.  After numerous times of getting frustrated because my putts would spit through the chains and bounce out of the basket, I decided to get a new basket.  Bring in the Recruit.  Just from the start the quality is so much higher.  This basket is very sturdy.  It catches very well.  To this point the only putts that haven't landed in the basket are just bad putts.  Everything that hits center falls to the basket.  The basket itself is nice and tall and perfectly vertical, no flare to it like the Discmania Lite.  Its a good feeling when a good putt actually lands in the basket.  I highly recommend this basket.  Probably the best $200 I've spent on disc golf equipment.

This basket is hands down one of my favorite baskets on the market. I wanted to upgrade from my DGA Mach 14 and went with this from the reviews of a friend and trying it out at the Infinite Discs location in Idaho. The basket seems to catch everything thrown in its area, and I have had very few putts go through the chains, ones that I feel like they could happen on the course. That was one of the struggles with the Mach 14, trying to get any confidence in my putt when so many would shoot on through and I couldn't tell if it was a good shot or not.

The baskets overall construction is great. It is really solid and they made some improvements to it from the first run of the discs where it had a tendency to lean. One of the interesting things with this basket compared to something like the Innova DISCatcher is that there is only one ring for both rows of chains opposed to two. The one ring set up allows for a lot more of the discs to settle in the chains rather than for them to trickle to the bottom of the basket. This does not change the performance of the basket in any way, just one of the interesting things I noticed about it while practicing

Just picked up my Recruit Basket, and it is definitely the best bang for your buck. Very heavy duty, yet surprisingly portable. I love that it comes with a wheel on the base to move much easier. Most baskets in this price range don't offer as many chains as this one. I couldn't be happier with my basket. It takes a little bit of time to take down and put up, but it's worth it for such a solid setup.

It only takes a couple seconds of checking out the Recruit to see that it has the looks and quality of a high-end basket. Although it is priced at the top of its class, it is well below what you would pay for a professional-level basket. Two rows of 13 permanently attached chains make the basket great for grabbing putts. Powder coating makes the basket look good and will extend its life. In addition to being the best built basket in its class, it is also a lot heavier. Fortunately, DD added a wheel to make moving the basket a little easier. Moving it on gravel or uneven ground is a chore with the wheel, but moving around the yard or basement is easy. Tools are required for disassembling the basket, and even when it is apart it is still fairly heavy.

Pros: Solid, good looking, grabby, well built, long lasting.
Cons: Heavy, tools needed, pricier than others in its class.

Overall assessment: I loved shooting at this basket. I felt confident that I could hit the chains, and that the disc would stick. I think the quality, looks, and performance are worth the extra cost. If I was going to be transporting the basket a lot, I might consider a lighter basket. Otherwise, short of a professional-level basket, this one is tops on my list. It would be great to use at home, and great to use for extra holes at leagues and tournaments.

The Dynamic Discs' Recruit basket is the highest quality basket, in its price range, on the market. After doing a recent comparison with six different baskets, the Recruit caught the most putts for me from 18, 25, and 33 feet. Unless I had $400 or more to spend on a basket, this is the one I would choose every time.

It is a heavy duty basket that has the ability to be transported. That being said, this is not the easiest basket to move. It does have a wheel on the base that works well, unless the terrain gets rough. However, all of the components that make it heavier and harder to move, make it a much better basket, similar to the ones you might find at a local course. It has great quality heavy chains, that in comparison to other baskets are much quieter. So you don't have to worry about bothering neighbors, or deafening yourself with 1,000 high pitch putts. The basket that the discs fall into is very similar in construction to very high-end disc golf baskets. It is completely vertical (as it should be) unlike some practice baskets that have a smaller dimension in the bottom portion, then flare out towards the top. The verticality of the basket catches and holds discs, flared/angled baskets produce more spit outs and other strange kicks.

If the basket is completely disassembled, it takes about 5 minutes to put together with 4 nuts and bolts. The basket breaks down into five major pieces, the pole itself breaking down into 2 pieces (making it much easier for transportation). So it has the potential to be transported, but I prefer to keep it assembled in my backyard. Aesthetically, I think it is one of the best looking baskets available. Overall, this is my top choice and I highly recommend it.

I was first acquainted with the Dynamic Discs Recruit basket during the putting contest at the 2015 Glass Blown Open. From the putting contest, I had mixed feelings about its catchability. It has a wide chain width that caught several of my long putts that other disc golf baskets just would not catch. I also had a slow lofty putt that appeared to be perfect that just bounced right out.

The DD Recruit is a heavy duty basket -- not one that you want to regularily take places with you, but portable enough that you can set it up as additional holes for tournaments. If you're a weak skinny guy like me, you don't want to carry this thing over long distances by yourself. One of the nice things about the Recruit, to help witht he portability despite the heavy weight is that it it does have a wheel so that you can roll it around once it's assembled.

If you're looking for a course quality, portable basket at an affordable price this basket is the way to go. It makes for a great backyard practice basket, that you don't have to worry about leavining out in the rain, that you can occasionaly port around when additional baskets are needed. For less than $200, no other high quality baskets on the market currently compare with the Dynamic Discs Recruit.
