-This is the only backpack bag I've ever owned. I've had it about 3 years now. I fit 19 discs inside, of those discs, 1 is classified as a putter, 4 as midrange, and the rest drivers. There is a minor amount of wiggle room, though not enough for me to add another disc (unless I wanna swap a mid/putter for 2 drivers). I have 2 putters outside the bag in the putter pocket.

There is space for a stool on the outside (or an umbrella, or both) When the stool spot isn't being used it perfectly fits a 12oz beer bottle (at least on the older ranger models). The drink pouch will hold 2 - 700ml disposable water bottles squeezed together fairly tightly. The mini pocket is nice, but it is loose if you dont have stuff in the zipper pocket. The mini pocket will not hold macro discs, however the macros fit wonderfully in the attached zipper pocket. The side pocket above the drink holder is a good size for a smaller cellphone or keys/wallet, or even a few birdie bags/rosin. The largest pocket is a very nice size, I store all sorts of things in there, you could easily fit a 6 pack of cans, or a thick hoodie, or some extra discs, or a large size portable bluetooth speaker, or maybe some sort of medium size glass sculpture if you feel like it.

The straps are comfortable, though this bag can get pretty heavy depending on how you utilize your storage. This bag fits nicely inside of the Dynamic Discs cart, though don't plan to use the putter pocket. This bag has maintained its shape really well considering I've been dragging it around rain, snow or shine. When the bag is wet sometimes the fabric dye comes off onto my skin. Some of the stitching (the DD logo) has started to unravel, mainly due to prickers and excessive wear.

No zipper issues, no torn fabric or holes, and even without a rain cover the inside of the bag stays dry. I'd gladly re-buy this bag even never having tried another one of this tier.

I've owned this bag for around a year.  I've had two grip bags (the C series and an AX15) as well.  The Ranger bag is a nice bag.  The best part about the bag is the top compartment.  Both my Grip bags are more comfortable than the Ranger bag but when it comes to storage the Ranger bag is more practical.  In the cooler months typically warm up after playing and have to shed a coat or a layer of clothing and there was no room for that with my smaller C series grip bag and with the AX15 I had to shove my coat in the side.  Also, for other things like a wallet, phone, keys, and sunglasses things get a bit tight in the grip bag with the convenient compartment just below the putter pouch at the top.  With the Ranger bag everything is laid out well and easy to get to.  My only complaints about the grip bag is straps and padding on the back of the backpack aren't quite as comfortable as the grip bag.  I also like the shiny material on the grip bag a little better than the Ranger bag as well as the looks - although this is a personal preference.

Overall this is a great bag.

When I made the move to a backpack bag, I ended up choosing the Ranger because I loved the storage at the top of the bag and having the putters on the side. There was a ton of storage, and I loved that I could have a lot of accessories, a jacket, and a few extra discs up there. The putter pocket on the side was great for those short putts where you don't feel like taking the bag off, you could simply reach to the side and grab a putter real quick. However, over time I found that I did not like how boxy it was and I actually liked the Grip AX15 more, so I made the move over and haven't looked back. The Ranger is a solid bag, and great for what it does, just not the very best like I wanted

I have been using this bag for the past year after a I got it used from a family member. It is a very nice bag and will hold all the discs that you would need for any course. The zipper pockets on the sides of the bag all have their uses of a phone pocket to my scorecard pocket. This is a great bag that you can use for a very long time.

This is a really good backpack, but it's not perfect. It holds a good amount of discs, but the more full it becomes, the harder it is to get a disc back in the bag. There is a big top pocket that you can put extra discs in or even fit a small cooler in for... soda. This bag does not have the side pockets that others do. It has a nice big bottle holder that holds a nalgene just fine, but the smaller one barely fits anything. Overall, I am glad I got this bag. But when it busts, I will be looking around for a different model

    Pros

Comfortable. This bag fits on most player's backs, and offers a compact weight distribution that many find comfortable.

Value: The Ranger bag offers a very competitive price since most backpack bags are around 200.

Competition: The Ranger is one of the perfect competition bags to me, I could carry every thing I needed in a tournament without worrying about storage, and still could strap my chair on the outside pocket if I wasn't using it.

Customizability: The Ranger offers a lot of free space that I have seen to be used to make a frame to convert the ranger into a hybrid chair/bag. Another idea I saw was that someone turned the top pocket into a cooler for their Gatorades and Protein Shakes :)

    Cons

Tip-ability: If this bag is not on flat ground, it may tip over! It can be set horizantally on slopes to prevent it from tipping, but this method doesn't work on steeper slopes.

Comfort: The height I want to wear this on my back makes the bottom portion of the bag dig into my back area. This is a problem with every bag I've ever had so it may not apply to you.

Quality: Both Ranger bags I used for casual and/or competitive use had some sort of defect. However, I was able to send them back and obtain a replacement at no cost other than shipping my bag to them!

Space: If you're looking to go on 36 hole mountain treks, this might not be the bag for you. By the time you pack enough water, you have nowhere to put any snacks unless you want to sacrifice an already limited amount of discs.

I tried out a Ranger bag for a few weeks, and overall I would say this is definitely a quality backpack bag that all players could use. While reading this review, keep in mind that normally I use a Grip EQ A-Series bag.

When I first put on the Ranger Bag, I found that the way it sat on my back was not the most pleasant. I adjusted the straps but still had a hard time finding a happy middle. If it was too loose, the square corner on the bottom would dig into my back right above my rear end. Tightening the straps pulled the bag higher, but then it felt like the straps were pulling too tight on my shoulders. It may just be my body type (I am a little over 6 feet tall, about 180 lb), and overall this was very tolerable.

I found the top storage compartment very useful. I used it to hold a few extra discs, but it could easily store a sweatshirt or some extra waterbottles. The side putter pocked fit two putters easily and was very accessable for the discs we all use the most. However, I think I prefer the bags where the putter pocket is on the top. I know it is something small, but it is a convenience that I have come to value.

Overall, this is a great backpack bag for the pricepoint. Also, they are probably the most "stylish" bag on the market. Customers have a lot of design options for their bag, which is a huge plus for this bag in my opinion.

This is a great bag to start out with when you are stepping up to the backpack style bag, and need to save a little money.  The storage is this bags amazing savior.  Carry all that you would like to and more ith this.  A hoodie or light jacket fit comfortably in the top storage compartment.  Drabacks are; No chest strap, One bottle holder (if you are carring a stool or umbrella), and the comfort is just not up to par.
