This is my first upgraded backpack from the DD trooper and I absolutely love it.

The straps are nice and comfortable, while the back padding is nice and airy. The frame is surprisingly sturdy, despite the side frames being a little big flimsy. On the bottom of the bag there's two "legs" that make sure the bag stands up straight. No moving/sliding your bag around to stop it from tipping over. The two drink holders on the side can both hold two 32 oz Nalgene bottles for those hot summer days and there's even two mini/scorecard holders as well as pencil/sharpie slots. The side pockets are super large and can even hold extra discs. Inside each side pocket has this little mesh lining where you can store valuable. The top of the bag has two zippered pockets, where you can store your valuables or even more putters. One of the top pockets has a double pocket, one up top and one further in, great for a hat/beanie/extra socks. To the side of the top pockets there's 2 clips for supporting a stool or a umbrella and 2 plastic clips for a towel or bag tags. The main compartment holds a comfortable 20 discs and you can easily access the far left and far right discs. In front you can slide in another two discs. All in all you can fit about 25-30 discs in this bad larry. Plenty of room for snacks and personal items!

All in all, this is definitely a premium pack at an affordable price. If you're looking for a bit cheaper, the standard Heropack is great, and even cheaper is the DD trooper. I thoroughly recommend this bag.

I've used this bag now for a year and 4 months and it has served its purpose well.  After about a year the rubber coating that makes the zippers for the putter pocket and valuables pocket water resistant started wearing off.  The straps were comfortable but I'd always have to adjust the length of them.  The bag has plenty of storage for discs, almost too much and in the side pockets.  Storage and price were the main reasons that I bought this bag.  It has served me very well.  Its held up to several casual rounds and several tournaments.  Other than the straps and the zippers my bag was very durable.  This bag does have a tendency to tip over if set on a slope.  I used to have 21 discs in the main compartment, 7 mids, 7 fairway and 7 distance drivers.  I just recently downsized to a Grip BX and I don't think I'll ever go back.

This is my first backpack (I upgraded from using several different over-the-shoulder sling type bags...) and I have to say that I love it!!  It has such a big carrying capacity that when I first filled it with my discs from my previous bag, it looked so empty and sad.  I've since grown into it and others are right, this thing can hold twenty or more discs, depending on how much you want to stuff it.  A big plus for me was the dual water bottle pouches (for the big 32 ounce bottles) since I go through a LOT of water in a round.  It's also really comfortable to wear.  It can get itself in just the wrong spot (if the straps get a little too loose/tight) and start having the rigid bottom dig into your back BUT with a little adjustment of the straps, that's not a problem.  Overall a GREAT bag and even thought it's my first one, I doubt I'll need to ever get a different one!

EDIT: I've used this bag for over a year, and it looks basically new. Has held up incredibly well. It will also hold at least 22 discs in the main compartment and you can stuff another 10 or so in the side bags and putter pocket if you're going out to do some field work. Super happy with the bag. I have tried more premium bags like the Grip EQ and they're better, but I'm not sure they are twice as good which is where they're priced.

I do not have a lot to compare this to because I'm a beginner and was using the 8-10 discs bag from dyamic discs, the cadet. I've got 16 discs in the main compartment and theres room for at least 5 more discs, the bag is well built. It feels heavy in hand but not on my back. There's plenty of padding and it's very comfortable as a backpack. It sits on the ground pretty well as long as you don't put it on a serious incline. I haven't tested the waterproof zippers, but they look just like the waterproof zippers that are on my gortex jacket and I expect they'd work pretty well. The bag is built with some overlap of material that would further aide waterproofing. From what I've seen in the store and on the course, this bag is really good for the money, although I still don't understand why a fancy backpack cost $100. Unfortunately, the bag has not improved my score.
