The Voyager Slim V2 is MVP's compact Backpack Bag. This bag lends itself to
The Prodigy BP-1 V3 is the newest iteration in the BP-1 lineup. It features a TON of space for all of your discs and accessories. The front section holds 20-26 discs and the top putter compartments holds up to 4 putters. You can fit an additional 10 discs, or various accessories in the side pockets.
The BP-1 V3 is made in the new Nylon Ripstock Fabric, which is water, tear, and scratch resistant; plus, it's lighter weight.
The structural inserts have been redesigned to have a padded edge to protect the fabric. The straps and back have also been redesigned to have more paddings, heavy duty waterproofing, and two ground rails.
The bag also features insulated 32 oz bottle holders, as well as an umbrella sleeve and magnetic pockets.

The prodigy BP-1 V3 is a great disc golf backpack. I love how much capcity it has. You can stuff this thing full of discs. The capacity is no lie. It is great because it is also relatively lightweight for its size. I find the top pocket to be convenient becaus eit is large enough that you don't have to be careful or precise with how you place discs in it. Putters slide in and out of top pocet easily. I also like the umbrella/disc retriever sleeve which sits seemlessly in the bag. Never have to worry about your retreiver shaking around. I think the material is a bit thin and wears a bit easier than similar bags. The side pockets are huge and do have some zippers in them but it is kind of annoying to have to throw anything in those side pockets all together. I might prefer more distinct pockets instead. Overall a great bag. The value for what you get for the price is nearly unbeatable when it comes to capacity.
Only giving this a 4.5 review because the bottom putter pouch ripped for me after two uses. But I do want to give the Infinite Discs Support team 5 stars for contacting Prodigy directly and shipping me a new bag under warranty! All and all, this bag has everything you need, ample space for up to 30+ discs. Quick and easy access to putting putters and approach discs. Not to mention it looks great and sits perfectly on a Rovic Cart. Be careful when placing discs inside the front pouch but 100% this is your bag if you are looking to expand your selections while on the course!
This is a really great bag. Lot's of care and smart design went in to making this bag.
Pros: lots of storage space, and the design makes everything easily accessible
The side pockets can be extended with a smart zipper design. This allows for stuffing in a jacket or hoodie with no problems.
The magnetic side pockets are great for quickly securing your smartphone.
There are lots of zippered and elastic pockets found throughout this bag. The zippers are high quality and i feel at ease knowing my car keys won't fall out.
The bottom of the bag its made with a tough material that prevents wear and tare on the bag.
The shoulder straps are padded well and are comfortable .
The side pockets zip up in a way that it is easy to securely store and carry a collapsible disc retriever pole.
Cons: The water bottle pockets are a bit tight for a nalgene brand bottle,
This bag has been excellent for the last 9 months.
I replaced a Bp2 V2 that had been through the ringer. Wanted more auxiliary storage and better water bottle pockets.
When playing double rounds on hilly championship woods courses, I don't find myself having issues with how the bag carries weight. It seems to fit me well and the back padding provides some ventilation on hot days (and comfort). I also like that the rubberized bottom goes up a bit. Keeps the bag a bit dryer if it's muddy out and feels more durable and abrasion resistant than the BP2 V2.
I like the closures and waterproof zippers - on moderate rainy days it keeps the worst of the moisture off of your discs (both the main compartment and the putter pocket).
It also holds discs.
The biggest reason why I got this bag and like it is the storage. We tend to play double rounds so to me it's valuable to be able to have the stuff I'd take on a hike such as plenty of fluids (2 bottles), snacks, Ibuprofen and such, and clothing for inclement weather and sun.
-I carry lots of snacks, extra trash bags, etc on the right side pocket. Sometimes it even gets a couple of cans of beverage. The inner top pocket is great for carrying gum and ear bud cases.
-On the left side I can fit my sun hat, wooly cap, sweater, and my raincoat for winter rounds. The internal pocket at the top gets dog poo bags, and often carries a collapsible water bowl. I was able to keep a plastic bag with extra towels in a recent rainy round in the big pocket.
-I am able to put my wallet and keys in the front zippered pocket. If I smoked I figure I could easily keep stuff for that in that pocket.
-I appreciate having dedicated phone pockets on each side - although one usually has jerky in it (you know, for emergency quick reach). Not having a phone pocket is a minus for many other bags and this has two! My Iphone 8 plus fits fine.
-I like the double insulated water bottle pockets. They feel like they will last longer and they do help to keep a can of beverage colder longer. They fit nalgenes just right.
-I keep my Quick Stick in the sleeve. I've used it for umbrellas before, and didn't really think that it carried the umbrella that well but TBH it's a big umbrella so your experience may vary.
I do wish that i could adjust the top putter pocket to be shallower, but I'm pretty sure I could just stick something down in there to stand them up like a grip bag.
Note: I do often use this with the Zuca Backpack cart - Large (depending on the course) and it fits with enough room for stuff in the big side pockets, but the water bottle pockets are not useful in the cart - need to put some on the cart itself. You can easily access the top putter pocket by lifting the seat, but I do use the zuca putter pouch for putters and phone.
I have been very happy with this bag and will probably buy a BP1 V4 or B1 V5 (assuming those will exist) when this one bites the dust.
Just got this bag and its exactly what I was looking for. Holds everything and then some. The front putter pouch is awesome and the top pouch holds the bulkier putters and some midranges. Its an excellent choice for a tournament bag and also great for practice rounds. I don't feel the feet digging into my back like some mentioned. I'm 5'11 and it fits excellent. I'm not sure I love the magnet pouches but I'll probably keep my phone inside the bag and use these for minis or something else. The rip stop fabric is awesome and cleans up very well. I had an innova adventure pack prior to this upgrade. I could hold a lot of discs in that bag and will probably keep it for smaller courses or for glow rounds. I've got 32 discs in it and I know that is more than I need, but I've got a few discs that I rarely throw tucked into the side pouch that are really only used for some get out of trouble shots, but I'm glad to now be able to carry those and everything else I want... Great upgrade
This is the best utility bag in disc golf.
Do you find yourself packing a ton of snacks? Do you bring your dog who also needs munchies? Do you have way too many discs and not enough bag space? Do you drink a ton of water?
Guess what, you can bring all of those things without needing to leave stuff home. This bag is the black hole of disc golf bags. It holds everything, yet feels comfortable. For some it can get heavy but not unbearable. Still lighter than a backpacking set up.
It also does well in inclement weather, I live in the pnw and it gets wet and muddy. Cleaning the bag is a breeze. The mud splatters after drying just wipe off.
Overall it's definitely worth every penny. It just might be too much for most people.
If you're looking for a bag that holds way more than you will ever need to carry as an average disc golfer, you found it. In fact, after carrying this bag for 4 months I was already prepared to swap it for something else, for 2 main reasons: 1) primarily - the bottom of the bag digs into your back, like SUPER BAD AND ANNOYINGLY SO. I tried everything. I even warrantied my first one, got a newer more updated one, and the problem was the exact same. 2) I was carrying a million more discs than I ever threw, which was unnecessarily heavy, and caused me to second guess every decision I made while choosing what to throw. This bag made me purposefully "downsize" to a DD Soldier Bag that holds almost half the amount. Best decision I've made.
Very nice as far as layout and capacity. Very poor quality, lasted about a month (maybe 10 rounds) before the a majority of the stitching came out. It was covered by the warranty.
This bag is everything I need in a disc golf bag and more. There are plenty of obvious things that I love about it, like how many discs it holds in the main compartment, large water bottle holder on each side, 2 additional cylindrical shaped holders that can hold stuff like umbrellas and bluetooth speakers, the putter pocket on the bottom front that can hold 2-3 putters, the sufficient amount of padding on the lower back area so the firm parts of the lower back parts of the back pack don't wear on your lower back.
But my favorite part is just how big the top putter pocket is. The top putter pocket holds 5 discs of mine (3 approach putters and 2 mid range discs). If you don't have this top pocket, then these discs will take up a lot space in the main compartment which will then limit the amount of control drivers and distance drivers that you could otherwise carry. All I carry in the main compartment now is control drivers and distance drivers. I am able to fit about 25 drivers in the main compartment. All thanks to that large top putter pocket.
Being able to bring 25 different control drivers and distance drivers has allowed me to bring multiples of each control and distance driver that I use the most. Now on my practice rounds, I can practice the lines the need to throw with the disc that I will throw on the hole multiple times in a row which helps me get better muscle memory and be more capable of duplicating the throws when they count. This bag allows me to practice in a way that I have never been able to do before. Being able to practice multiple throws on holes with difficult lines has shaved many strokes off my game. Who would of thought that a back pack would shave more strokes off my round than any disc ever could have.

I got way more bag than i need because i don't want to have to upgrade in the future. This bag is awesome. I can easily carry 30+ discs with room to spare if i stick some in a side pocket. The pockets are huge and can fit a lot of stuff. I keep a towel, Sharpies, snacks, and minis on one of the big side pockets, and my kid's discs in the other side. In the smaller magnet closed pockets i keep my keys, wallet, and phone. Still have plenty of room. If i needed to take a jacket, i could easily take my kid's discs out and fit a hoodie in there. The main disc compartment has room for about 20-25 discs depending on the amount of mids/putters in there. The front putter pocket fits two nicely and the top fits 5-6 more. The zippers are all really nice quality and there is a carabiner on one side of the top o f the bag for towels and whatnot. On the side opposite from that, there is a retriever/umbrella pocket. I have the Kwik-Stik XL in there and it fits nicely. The bottle holders on the side easily accommodate large bottles.I carry two 36oz Stanley Go thermoses on long days out and although the added weight sucks, i have plenty of water. Assembly was not bad, although i can see where some people might struggle. That is the only downside i can think of.
Fantastic Bag! I usually carry about 25 discs, and it holds them with ease. Could squeeze a few more in if needed. Was relatively easy to assemble and seems pretty solid. It is also quite light when empty (which is great when you are schlepping that many discs). Side pockets can hold a light jacket, but they are not that big (though they can expand a bit). Side drink holders fit popular large metal thermoses. Has a pair of side small pockets good for a mini. They close with a magnet, and one of the magnets migrated and I had to maneuver it back.
It is comfortable to wear and the top handle is great for carrying it as well. Good padding on the back and straps. Material is nice and is easy to wipe down. I think you would have a hard time finding a full sized backpack better than this without spending at least 2x.
Great bag, great size, at a great price. I carry 25-30 discs on average. This bag can fit up to 40. I have had this bag for several months and have no issues with durability. This bag won't last forever but should last a couple of solid years playing daily for sure. If you carry less than 22 discs, this bag is not for you.
This bag is sweet. Picked it up as my first tournament sized bag, to replace my beginner bag so I can carry more discs & other accessories. It's huge, and for the weight, very comfortable to carry. I'm bagging 30 discs (22 in the main compartment, 3 in the top compartment, 2 in the putter pocket and two in a side pocket. In addition, I have room for two towels, two 32oz water bottles, snacks, and a hoodie as well. In terms of build quality, it's extremely well built and keeps its shape and structure very well. As heavy as it is, it's extremely comfortable to carry, although if I had one issue with it, if the straps were *slightly* more padded, it would be perfect. I'm excited to play more with the bag, and I'll update when I get more than the two rounds I have now with it. However, great bag, can't see myself needing another for at least the next year or so.
1. This thing is built like a tank. The zippers are super strong and the material looks and feels more durable than anything I have ever felt; including my prodigy v2 practice bag.
2. The side pockets were probably my main reason for getting this bag. I try and limit my tournament bag to 23ish discs but I have always felt like my extra compartments were crammed. The side pockets are massive and can fit anything I have to carry from extra towels, dry bags, water bottles, food, etc. It can fit anything you need it to and keep it safe from the elements. I was really surprised that the phone pockets fit my phone really easily. My phone doesn't fit in the practice bag at all so I was really excited for one on either side for when my wife comes and plays with me.
3. The second reason I wanted this bag was the putter and top storage/putter pouch. I can keep my main discs in these with tons of room. I fit 5 putters in the top pouch yesterday just to see how it would do. They didn't feel cramped at all and I could take one out or put one in with incredible ease.
4. This thing stands up on its own like a champ. I've never had a bag that didn't slouch so while this is an expectation of top-level bags like this one, I was really excited about it.
The only con I can see is it was kind of hard to put the side panels in. It comes folded up when it is shipped so you have to put the panels in on your own. It took probably 30 minutes to do all 5 but it was well worth it and I won't have to do it ever again! I can also see how people may not like how wide it is, but when you have all of that storage on tap it is a sacrifice that I will make a million times over again.
Overall, I can only imagine top bags being on par with this one, not better. Between the space, price, prodigy's amazing customer service, durability, and stability when it is on the ground I would recommend this one to anyone who plays tournaments a lot. For the casual person or not as a serious player, I think the bp2v2 would be a terrific option. I was looking for my end-all bag and I couldn't be more satisfied.
Let me start off by saying that I just got this bag yesterday and am getting ready to head out to the course this afternoon for my first time really using it. However, I am already loving it!
I already own the Lat. 64 Core bag, which for the price point is a fantastic bag. There are just some things that it is not great for. It always falls over on me due to a lack of a solid/sturdy base. It doesn't have enough room for a jacket or sweatshirt. It's holds enough discs for me, but every now and then I do have to be somewhat selective.
Now, let me explain why I mentioned all of that above. This BP-1 V3 bag address all of my issues that the Core couldn't provide. It's sturdy and stays up. It holds more than enough discs! I LOVE the two separate putter pouch compartments, so I can keep my driving/approach putters separate from my putting putters. It has enough room in the side pouches for a hooded sweatshirt and a rain jacket. I like that it has an umbrella holder, but I'm planning on using it to hold a monopod/selfie stick so I can grab some video quickly and easily of some throws or rounds. Just set my back down, attach my phone and hit record. Easy!
Yes, this bag is big; much bigger than my Core bag, but I think all of the extras it has will be well worth the extra weight. The ONLY thing so far I wish it had was dividers for when I want to carry fewer discs. I don't like having discs falling over and flopping around. Otherwise, this bag is almost perfect.
*** Update ***
Ok, I have now played 5 rounds with this bag, and everything I have said earlier stays true. However, I have to add some information about comfort. This bag just isn't that comfortable. I has a pretty stiff/rigid bottom which is great for keeping it solid and standing upright when you set it down, but unfortunately it also means that the bar at the bottom of the bag rubs on my butt/low back when I wear it on my shoulder. I almost only wear my disc golf backpacks on my left shoulder as its just easier than taking it on and off from both shoulders. But man does this thing hit me in an awkward spot and not feel great. Also, the shoulder pads just don't have much padding. The straps feel like they're going to last a long time, but they just don't have much in the way of padding for comfort.
So, to summarize, it's a fantastic bag if you want more room. It looks great! It's crazy functional! But it's just not all that comfortable, and when it's loaded down with about 28-30 discs, other items like a sweatshirt and water bottle, you NEED comfort. I think I'll be utizilizing this bag for tournaments and long outings, but probably staying away from it for shirt quick rounds.
Received my Prodigy BP-1 V3 on time and packaged great. Unboxed it and sat there for a minute trying to assemble it... yes you have to assemble a few parts of this bag without instructions! All you have to do is unzip a few sections and insert the seemingly too large for the space plastic bracing pieces and boom you have an amazing bag. Aside from not having instructions, this bag is all that it advertised. Great space, great comfort, and great construction. The material and zippers feel strong and straps have good cushion. The feet on the bottom kept my bag upright through the entire round, never tipping over. Overall a great bag for the price. Not sure you'll find a better bag for $100!
