Great bag!! Very durable and dependable. Lots of room for other things besides discs! Sides pockets and side zipper flaps give you lots of room. I hold a rain jacket, sunscreen, two other discs in the two side flaps. Then keys, sunglasses, chalk, and other small items in my side pockets! I would definitely recommend this product!

This bag is very durable, holding 20-25 discs depending on whether or not you have more drivers and/or putters. 2, 32 ounce water bottle holders, along with two very spacious pockets being able to hold a weather jacket, snacks, towels, and even more discs. Little pockets to hold both keys, mini markers, pencils, scorecards, and more. The flap that covers the discs can sometimes be annoying and get in the way since it folds up behind them, but other than that it's an overall nice, sturdy, very spacious, and very breathable bag. For those looking for an even more spacious bag I'd look into the DD Ranger.

This is a fantastic pack. It's made well and is very durable but super comfortable to wear; it's made by Ohio. The main pocket holds about 20 discs with comfortable 4 more discs in the two slip pockets on top. It has two small storage pockets great for car keys or your phone, as well as two huge side pockets for more storage. I carry 3 extra discs in one of those and keep things like towels, notebook/pen, grip sacs, etc in the other. It also features two huge bottle/drink pockets, one on each side, big enough to hold my 40oz nalogene bottle and even my big kove can speaker! If you need a good amount of room and easy access to any and all the discs you carry, and want a solid comfy bag for long hiking courses or multiple round days... then this bag is top on my recommendation list.

Very light. Its not a chair. Good bag.

Previously owned a Latitude 64 Core backpack.  The pockets/skin of the Latitude bag started to fray after about 1 year of use, it was very mediocre.  It also fell over nearly every time I stood the bag up.  It got so annoying, I ditched that bag.  Decided to buy the DD Commander based on reviews.  All I have to say is WOW.  I have had the bag for 6 months in extremely humid weather and moderate use and abuse and it has held up spectacularly.  I have not a single complaint.

The tiniest issue I would have is that the bag straps / backing / padding absorbs all the sweat from your shoulder and eventually smells pretty bad.  However, a scrub brush and warm soapy water solved that issue immediately.  I also now use a deodorizing spray every so often on super sweaty days.

This bag is extremely durable, has perfect pockets for all your items, multiple drink holders, and nice pockets for putters (which after 6 months of abuse have not lost any elasticity, even after overfilling the putter pockets).

Do yourself a favor, spend the extra money if you can and get this bag.  You will love it.

Love this bag, Mine holds 20-25 discs, room for snacks, two water bottle holds. The 2 big pockets on the side you could use for rain jacket or a couple more discs. Very sturdy bottom. Won't tip over. Heavy duty handle in the middle for picking up the bag.

    Well made bag.

    Totally recommend this bag.

I have had this bag for a couple months now and I have to say it is great. Space for plenty of plastic, the material is legit, and it looks great. the only thing I wish it had was another pocket or two on the outside. Would recommend 10/10

Easily the best bag for the money. I can comfortably fit 20 mids and drivers in the main area and two putters in the top slots. The large zipper pockets provide a lot of additional room for either another couple of discs or even a lightweight jacket and the smaller zipper pockets on each side are perfect for your keys, wallet, etc. Since most of the weight is so low this bag is super stable when sitting on the ground. I can not recommend this bag enough.

I've had the Commander bag for an entire year and it's been great. I haven't noticed any serious wear other than on the durable feet underneath. The zippers never get stuck or caught up. It's easy to clean and a very simple design. I think it is one of the best looking bags on the market because it displays your disc beautifully and makes them easily accessible. The bag has plenty of room for a lot discs. I usually carry around 20-24 disc at any given time. There is plenty of room for large bottles and the bag has small zippered pockets that hold all your loose items. (Phone, wallet, keys, bug spray, sunscreen, etc) The bag is a little lacking in storage if you need to carry a lot of other things however. The long zippered side pockets don't offer much more space, but you can squeeze a jacket and other garments inside. If you're one of those player that likes to bring a few brews out on the course the Commander may be too small unless you use the disc storage area. Once you stuff the side pockets full it tightens up the disc storage area making it harder to get as many disc in/out of the pack. I am a casual player so I don't play too many tournaments, but I think this bag may be a bit small if you play long, multi-round tournaments. I have seen a lot of DD pros using the Commander bag and it always looks like it's busting at the seams (Oakley, Risley). If you are someone that is considering a new bag simply because you want to carry more discs on the course I hope you really contemplate if you actually need a bag this large. I sometimes find the Commander to be heavy and almost a burden to carry when it's extremely hot or the course is long. I'm only 25, but I feel sore after 4-5 rounds a week. I've just recently started using a cart to save my back and stay fresh throughout the round.

I love this bag!  This was my first real backpack style bag, and I am super impressed so far.  The bag is made by OGIO so the quality of the bag is not in question at all.  Like another person mentioned, the bag looks funky, definitely function over fashion, but it works perfectly for everything I need to take with me.  It holds more discs than I could use in a round, 2 nalgenes, and the side pockets are HUGE!  I put coat, sunglasses,  wallet, phone, keys, etc in one, and fill the other with a few snacks, rules book, disc retriever, whale sac, towels, etc, with TONS of room to space.

Even fully loaded down, the bag is comfortable, and it does a great job spreading out the weight across my back instead of creating pressure points where its pulling really hard.  It also stands up decently well on the ground, and doesn't fall over too easily.

The price point on this bag is pretty spot on in my opinion.  Its certainly not the cheapest or most expensive bag around, but I feel like you're getting a lot of bang for your buck here.  A few months in, and I couldn't be happier with my Commander.

I recently switched from a Hyzerbomb Flak X to a Zuca Cart, which is great. But when the cart is too much I started using the commander that I got at GBO... and let me tell you- it's amazing!

I used it at Ledgestone this year for the whole tournament and I have absolutely no complaints! The lack of top storage didn't bother me at all because the sides of the bag zip all the way up/down and create huge side pockets. I fit all of my snacks, wallet, phone, everything else in there just fine and you didn't even notice it was in there. The two drink holders are perfect size for bigger bottles and have a tight band to keep them secure.

This bag fits the same amount of discs as any other backpack I've tried, if not more. It seems to just keep fitting discs in the main pocket (it might be a bit wider than the ranger). The putter pocket fits two putters easily, plus you could put another one or two up there if you needed a couple more discs. (Or in the side pockets as well). It has a nice scorecard and pencil holder right on the inside panel as well, which is so nice for keeping score. Usually I have the card and pencil in some crazy pocket and it gets bent or lost... not with this bag.

Another nice feature is that is has little feeet that keep the bag off of the ground, so the bottom doesn't get completely dirty when you set it down in the mud/dirt. It's also very bottom heavy, so it rarely tipped over, which was a problem with my old bag when I had stuff in the top storage. It just sat wherever I put it, even on hills. I hate bags that tip over a lot so this was a huge plus.

It felt very sturdy and very comfortable. The shoulder straps are quite padded and never hurt me after a week of playing everyday in the tournament. If fit perfectly on my back, which is very nice because I've tried other bags that dig into my back in weird spots, but this Commander did not do that at all.

Another nifty feature is there is a strap on the side for inserting your stool or umbrella into one of the cup holders and strapping it up the side of the bag. This makes it so much easier when you need to walk longer distances or when it stops raining. They also make a really handy rainfly for the Commander, so that's a good accessory if this is your main bag and you're worried about rain.

In my honest opinion this is the best bag on the market for the price. I don't know why I'd pay any more for a bag this nice. It's so good! You won't regret it!

This was the first backpack bag I ever owned and I have to agree with the previous review, this bag is MONEY!

    The Good:

    - One of the most comfortable bags I have owned. Back support is top notch, straps are comfy and not too thick.

    - Extremely effortless to get discs in and out due to the top loading nature of the bag.

    - Holds A LOT more discs than it seems, it is like a magic bag.

    - Has two HUGE storage pockets on the side, capable of fitting jackets/hoodies.

    - Has two smaller pockets capable of multiple small items (phone, wallet, keys, snacks)

    - 2 total holders for water bottles, although one can be used for a stool/umbrella with the use of the clip strap.

    - Easy access to putters or other frequently used discs with the disc sleeves on top.

    - Durable and wears in comfortably.

    The Bad:

    - The bottom of the bag could be reinforced but is like other similar bags on the market

    - Kind of a funky design but as the saying goes, "function over form."

TL;DR: Just get the bag, I seriously can not come up with any negatives that aren't in other similar bags or nitpicky things that aren't part of the bigger picture. DD murdered it with this bag.

    BAG OF THE YEAR!!!

This bag is a home run... It's setup a little wider than the Ranger, and with the "open" setup on the bag, it's just insanely comfortable and convenient. Th bag easily holds, 20 to 25 discs if not more. and wears really well.

If you're on the fence about a new bag, you simply cannot do better for the money, or the quality, than this bag right here.
