The Prodigy X2 is a consistent, long-flying, overstable distance driver designed for multiple skill levels.  Players who are looking for a solid distance driver in windy conditions or long, right-to-left hyzer shots (for RHBH) will feel that the X2 fits perfectly in their bag.  For fans of the X1, the X2 matches its consistency but exceeds its speed and glide.

Very Overstable!!! I use use my X2 for my RHFH shots and this is a solid disc but you need to have some arm speed or a good understanding of the way you need to throw this beast if you want to throw it with lower arm speeds. My arm is in between an 11 and 12 speed (RHFH) so I can pretty much get it to fly the way I want when I get a good enough pull. I use it mainly for low ceiling straight shots, or shots that need a lot of fade. For that straighter shot shape I really have to whip this thing hard and change the angle that my arm has as i follow through. In other words instead of a true sidearm, It's in between an overhand and a sidearm. Doing this gives it an instant anhyzer (RHFH) and I personally can generate more torque when throwing this way. (Watch Uli's video on arm angles if you don't understand what I'm talking about) Good disc overall, lots of utility. Mine is 500g and I love the feel. Prodigy kills it in this department in my opinion.

I bought this disc from a friend, and I quite like it for one reason in particular. This isn't with how Prodigy discs work, the plastic, the price point, anything like that. Am I alone when I say that when I was new to all of this, I thought the speed meant it can go farther, but the performance isn't really changed with the exit velocity that is dependent on the user? Meaning if I bought a distance driver, I would be covered, I could just throw it slower and it would fly the same. Obviously, play a round with any Speed 10+ disc alone and you will leave quite frustrated. Not this one. As far as I can tell, this disc is an anomaly. I can throw medium to lower power shots (Then the disc was undoubtedly made for) and still get a reliable flight out of it, without changing much of anything as far as how I can throw the disc. I can make short fairway drives, tunnel shots, hyzer spikes, thumbers, and dogleg forehands without fail. Maybe it's just this one disc. One the off shot that's not the case, you'll be delighted with it. And yes, while this is probably the first speed 11+ disc to receive a Neutral beginner rating, I'm keeping it. Respect the speed, practice your form, and buy the disc. You won't regret it.

PROS: Don't tell anyone, but it's my favorite driver.

CONS: None, you absolute numpty. Why are you even reading this bit?

Pretty fast and overstable - this disc is a nice dependable overstable driver in the X series!

This thing is like a really long fairway driver! Very straight and predictable lines.

I can average 375 distance/power on my throws (not a power thrower) and can say that the X2 isn’t as beefy as I thought it was going to be. In fact, the first one I got flew so straight... I thought I must have got an under stable one, but I’m on my third one now and it’s been consistently the same.

I pull this out for longer drives where I’m concerned about a normal distance driver turning over too much. I generally throw this flat and hard. But can put it on tiny flex lines to get more distance. It will flip up if thrown into a hard head wind and hold its line.

The X2 is also a great forehand disc. Super comfy in the hand and torque resistant. Again super straight and always finishes. I’m shocked when I don’t see this in more in-the-bag videos.

I would agree with other reviews and say the D series are longer discs. It does feel more like an 11 speed (again not a power thrower).

When the D1 cant handle the muscle or the wind step up to the X series. The X2 is a surprisingly workable disc. Overstable and long but more glide than an Xcal. Prodigy power throwers will definitely need this disc into a headwind on a 450 ft open hole.

This is the most dependable forehand driver that I have ever thrown. I can hang it out on an anny and trust it to come back. If I throw it low and flat it seems to carry across the ground forever and dependably finish to the right.

This is my go to forehand disc as its rim feels perfect out of your hand, very fast disc with a sharp come back and a big skip! I can hit right gaps or bomb it with my flick and it always gets the job done..

This is my go to headwind disc and forehand disc. Great control and nice over stability. I play where the wind is blowing often and can be gusty but I can trust this disc to hold its line and not turn over.

When I first heard about the Prodigy X Series I was quite excited because I had high hopes that they could potentially feel better in my hand than the D Series. (I have little hands) Unfortunately, this was not the case. With a similar rim thickness and a ton of beef in the flight, the X2 is just not for me. This thing is more Overstable than a piece of light bread in a cross wind. I could definitely see myself using this disc on short wooded shots where I need some skip but as far as it being a distance getter and a staple in my bag, that's probably never going to happen. If you have a big arm, definitely check this disc out.

The X2 is a very picky disc.  It has to be thrown flat or with a little anhyzer until it breaks in (which could be a long time) or requires quite a bit of power to get any distance.  Thrown with any hyzer at all it'll burn out instantly (beginners beware), which is part of the beatuy of this disc.  Windy days or lines that require a sturdy finish/skip are where the X2 really shines. A seasoned X2 is one of the most reliable and predictable discs you can ask for.

As far as speed goes, the X series to me is 10-11, but has the rim width of a 12-13. It can feel odd at first.  For me, the X series are distance discs when control is a must, X2 especially.

Great disc for power players who want to be able to lay into a driver and still trust that it is going to go left. Great for low skip shots, straight hyzers or ever sky hyzers. You can definitely throw this with some juice and count on it to fade. Super predictable, takes all the guess work out of what its going to do. Amazing wind disc.

I got the chance to throw the X2 in 400S plastic, and really it is just another fantastic distance driver from Prodigy Disc. A few weeks previous I had the chance to test out the X4, and compared to that the X2 is substantially more overstable, but not even close to the X1 in overstability. The X2 should be perfect for bigger arms that can get the disc to pop up and glide a bit before a predictable and strong fade.

As I mentioned in the X4 review, I don't think the X2 will find a place in my bag mostly because the D series of discs by Prodigy give me a little more distance, and I don't feel a need to step down in between them and my 9-10 speed discs.

Oh, and I can't say enough good things about Prodigy's plastic. The current 400S run especially is a really nice soft and grippy run that feels so comfortable in the hand. So if the X2 sounds like it could fit a spot in your bag, I would have no hesitation recommending this disc. I mentioned the D series seem to fit the mold for me now, but I could definitely see something from the X series sneaking in before too long!

I haven't always been a fan or Prodigy plastic, but this disc definitely feels GOOD. This run of 400 plastic is quite a bit grippier than others I have felt, and I like that a lot. This disc is overstable, but not so much that it's unusable for distance.

With a slight anhyzer release this disc will fly forever. It flies so fast and smooth as well, it just looks pretty in the air. When thrown on a big hyzer route it definitely glides the distance. I was really loving it for big hyzer shots.

When compared to the X4 it's definitely a lot more overstable, which is good because it leaves a perfect gap for the future X3. I'm excited to continue to try out Prodidy's X Line, which I dare might say is my favorite from them so far.

The X2 definitely flies on the overstable side of the spectrum. I'm not a huge power thrower, but do like to put as much on a distance driver as possible, when I get the chance. The X2 really wanted to make a pronounced fade before it got very far. I primarily throw back-hand, and after a few throws that faded hard, I decided to just go with it and started testing the disc on higher hyzer lines. That is definitely where the X2 lives. I was able to get more distance throwing it on a high angle than when trying to flatten it out.

I never got the chance to throw around an X1, but after throwing the X2, I'm pretty sure that the X1 is a real slab of beef, probably suited more for power throwers and pros. The X2 is about as overstable as I can find use for on a regular basis.

NOT a disc for beginners, but a suitable, dependable overstable driver for experienced players.

Great disc for long, predictable drives. Slight turn with a consistent fade.
