The Prodigy PA-1 is an overstable putt and approach disc that is very consistent in the wind. This is the most overstable of the Prodigy putters currently available, and makes an excellent driving putter.

I recently got a Pa1 Proto Prodigy putter. The 400s plastic (I'm assuming its that plastic) feels great in the hand. I use this mostly for driving and upshots as I have a different 'go to' putter but this has a spot in my bag.

6 out of 10, will be thrown again.

I have a 173g 400s PA-1 that I have been using as my main putter and approach disc for the past 2 years. The PA-1 was one of the first prodigy discs I bought and I fell in love with it instantly. Very reliable putter, I know what it will do every time and can adjust accordingly for the situation. As an approach disc and driving putter I would put it up against any other out there. Consistent and extremely shapeable. Put it on a hyzer line and it will hold, put it on an anhyzer line and it will hold, throw it flat and it will hold. Love this disc and would recommend it to anybody as a solid driving putter and approach disc. I would recommend getting the 300s plastic to putt with, but I putt with my 400s and have had a good run with it.

Got my first ACE with this disc yesterday!

I got my first ever ace with a pa1. The hole was a 210 foot tunnel shot that finished left.  I putt with the pa3 but always bag a pa1 or two for upshots that require more fade and for teeshots.  The disc can really do it all. Throw it on a hyzer and it will fly with a long steady fade.  Throw it with anhyzer and it will glide into a flat landing. Such a great mold that will never leave my bag!

The 400S Pa1 is a very stable, dependable putter. I used to have one in my bag from 2013-14, and would use it off the tee when I needed a putter with a dependable fade. Although I see many using them for forehands, it didn't quite have the stability for mine and I would get a little too much wobble. I used it in the wind, and for backhand hyzer and flex shots.

I would not suggest this disc to a beginner since it is overstable. However, it is still a putter so I wouldn't say it is 'hard to use' by any means.

I have been playing Disc Golf for about a year now. My disc is a 167g greenish yellow 400s. I have been a fan of the Prodigy plastic from the get go. It is a great mix of the qualities of innova's star and champion plastics. It is slightly tacky and has great grip, even when it is wet. Water beads and shakes off of these discs like a freshly waxed car. The rim isn't quite as deep as my Aviar putter, and feels more similar to my MVP Anode, which I love. This disc is a superb flier. It is consistent and dependable, more than any other disc in my bag. It is quickly becoming my go-to approach disc (also the PA4!, which is equally as awesome, but for different reasons). It goes exactly where you want it, according to the power and angle that you use. I feel that when you put more power into it, you get more glide, but with less power the glide is a lot less. It has a predictable amount of fade at the end. When I first started using it, I wasn't super impressed with it as a putter. Then I started practice putting in my yard and started using it more. I am finding it to be an awesome putter for longer putts. I was hitting about 50% from 25ft or more from the basket, but hit way more with the PA1. The more I use this disc, the more I love it, it definitely found a permanent home in my bag! Awesome disc! Recommend it to anyone, beginner, and beyond! Great for short drives, approach shots, and putts! Great first disc for a new player! I think everyone should have one of these in their bag! I really can't say enough great things about this disc.

What to say about the PA1? First off this disc has the same genetics that all Prodigy discs share. The 400s plastic is nice and grippy and feels good in the hand. My initial reaction to this disc was that it felt strikingly similar to my Star Innova Big Bead Aviar in that it has a nice deep rim with the bead around the bottom. I like the feel of the bead around the bottom as it rests nicely in the nook of my finger giving me a consistent release point. I will say that I rarely if ever putt with my Big Bead Aviar, rather I use it for drives or up shots. Anyway, with Prodigy putting the bead on the bottom of this disc it makes me think they intended it as a driver/approach as much as a putter.

I tried it for putting but to be honest I have a hard time getting rid of my Wizards for putting, which is more of a psychosomatic thing than anything else. But I will say that I really like this disc off the tee for distances around 200-250ft. It is a very straight flying disc and can be thrown low and fast to glide right under trees or other obstacles without much issue. It also has a nice consistent fade which is very reliable and handy in windy situations. I have also noticed that it does prove to be a very useful "get out of $#!*" disc. I can use it to get out of trees or make nice hyzer shots that I don't want to get too far away from me. I would recommend this disc to people who are looking for a new putter or want to play a putter round/drive and approach with their putters. It is a good disc, but unfortunately nothing that I don't already have in my bag.

I actually got to try out Nikko Locastro's PA1 at DeLa this weekend. Even in light weights, this putter is overstable and fights out of any anhyzer angle. Looks like it would be a great recovery disc for sidearm flicks. As far as the plastic goes, it's the same 400 series plastic that has the gummy feel to it. I wouldn't use this type of plastic for regular putting, just because it is pretty slick.
