The Prodigy F5 is a straight-flying fairway driver that's not quite as understable as the current F7. At 1.9cm tall, the F5 is significantly taller than the existing fairway drivers, which all have a height of 1.5cm. This disc is very domey and has a wing length, or rim width of 1.8cm, just like all the other Prodigy fairways.

    500 Details

500 Plastic was development over a considerable period of time to formulate a blend based upon player feedback. It has a stiffer, less gummy feel than 400 Plastic. The 500 blend provides an extremely confident grip on the firm, yet flexible flight plate. It also provides a very solid feeling rim.

The F5 is a wonderful neutral to slightly US fairway driver. Incredibly versatile, very glidey, rewards smooth throws with easy distance. I've had it in both 400 and 500 plastic now, they both started at about the same stability out of the box but the 500 has taken longer to beat in. On flat backhand throws in calm conditions it will sail fairly straight through its initial high speed flight, start to turn mid way down the fairway, and end with a gentle fade and landing. It hyzer flips for dead straight fairway lines with the best of them. On anny throws it will turn throughout its flight consistently and predictably. It is not great for headwinds, but its excellent glide mixed with a tailwind can put this disc into distance driver range.

    500 plastic, 175g

True to flight numbers right out of the box. Flippy, good glide, just a pinch of finish to pull it out of the turn when it slows down. This was my 'coming to terms' 7 speed, thought I was fast enough to stand my exodus up in a hyzer flip but that's just not the case, this is far more appropriate for my slower backhand when I'm looking for that shot. This is a beautiful flyer for my ~275' arm, big pretty S if it gets the height or dead straight if thrown low and hard in a hyzer flip.

500 plastic feels and looks fantastic, great grip. Bad flashing but that doesn't warrant a star loss in my book, 60 seconds with sandpaper and its off

Great understable fairway driver!! The 500 plastic doesn't really come back after it turns. Even on hyzer it still turns!

flip city! For those slower arms, or players who throw wooded courses a lot, I think this disc is borderline essential. It works best at 50-75% (moderate arm speed - 350/400ft thrower) in order to not flip&dump. This disc is highly manipulatable in the woods for that reason. I'm working on trusting my straight shot, and hyzer flip. This has helped me with both. Shaved a couple strokes off Camden2 with it. Definitely not for big bombs unless you're looking for a strong finish to the right. Looking forward to trying out an F3 to see if it's more rippable like my beloved F1's.
