The Prodigy F5 is a straight-flying fairway driver that's not quite as understable as the current F7. At 1.9cm tall, the F5 is significantly taller than the existing fairway drivers, which all have a height of 1.5cm. This disc is very domey and has a wing length, or rim width of 1.8cm, just like all the other Prodigy fairways.

This is the workhorse in my bag. When the round gets tough, I pull out this. It is a straight flyer. Into the wind, just bit it on a bit of a hyzer. With the wind, just open up the side and watch it go. And with no wind, it is a lazer if you need it to be.

Very trusty disc that flys dead stright or beat it a little and its a beautiful hyzer flip disc. My go 2 fairway disc is the F5!

I've been trying various Prodigy discs lately.  The F5 was my first F series disc.  I don't have a big arm, so it's not as flippy as it may be for a bigger arm.  For me it has a nice tight S curve. I throw RHBH.  For a fairway driver it has greater distance than I thought.  I prefer narrow rimmed drivers as I don't have the control with the wider rimmed drivers as I would like.

I've been reaching for this disc when I don't think I can get a mid-range to the pin. While I have parked some shots, a few have gone a little further than I expected, otherwise I'd rate it 5 stars. The F5 I throw is in the 400 plastic, about 167 grams.

Prodigy plastics are very interesting.  I can't really compare them to any other disc company.  I really like the 400 series plastic. It's a grippier Champion or candy plastic. The colors are also very bright and easy to find.
