The Axis was one of those midranges I really fell in love with from the first throw. It just hit a spot with me. It just is so easy to throw. Sure I've thrown similar discs and I would have to agree that in many ways it's similar to a Buzzz.  However I find that this disc loves to stay in the air.  It glides for days. The Axis has a little bit of turn and a gentle fade, nothing crazy but really helps you work on angles. New the Axis throw on hyzers will hyzer out, on anhyzer they will hold the turn for a bit then fade out or land flat. After they beat in they are money for those dead straight throws, tight gaps, or long annys.  I never throw this sidearm.  I had only two for a time, both in eclipse plastic, then I heard they were seizing production. Infinite Discs hooked me up with 5 more in both plasma and eclipse. I find the eclipse is flippier out of the box. I throw other midranges. They come and go.   The Axis is always there.

This is one of my favorite discs in my bag I really do enjoy throwing it and it's really good to know that whenever I pick up this desk if I overthrow I feel too hard it won't go out of its flight pattern very drastically. Thing I like about this this is how straight it is and how long it'll go with a five speed and five glide I love using this desk whenever I need really long straight approaches and whenever I have a tree or two that's in my way I can normally use this just to get around him and right by the basket I've been using mine for a while now it hasn't had any damage to the desk or the rubber and I really like that about this desk as well and the consistency when throwing his desk and throwing it properly with proper form is absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend.Use this just to get around him and right by the basket I've been using mine for a while now it hasn't had any damage to the desk or the rubber and I really like that about this desk as well and the consistency when throwing his desk and throwing it properly with proper form is absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend it. Overall it's a great desk for beginners and advanced players of all time the ratings are pretty accurate and so is the disc.

This is my go to mid range. I love how I'm able to hyzer flip this disc and watch it ride all the way to the basket. There's nothing complicated about it. Walk up, aim, and throw. It goes right where you want it to. Straightest disc I've ever thrown. 10/10.

Great all round disc. Holds a perfect line and is ultra consistant. Super straight and glides extremely well. A must have in any bag. Feels extremely comfortable in the hand and is most easily compared to a Buzzz.

This is my favorite mid range to throw. I use it for driving off the tee and long upshots. It holds whatever line I put it on to the point where it almost feels like I have psychic connection with it. Then finishes with a very small amount of fade. It's hard to have a bad shot with this disc.

The Axis is a workhorse mid for MVP throwers. It holds any angle and has tremendous glide for a midrange. It even putts well; it's good for those single disc rounds. It holds hyzers, turnovers, flex shots, hyzer flips, can be tomahawked, and can be flicked with good technique.

The Axis is very comfortable in the hand and has great durability. You can't ask for anything more out of a mid. The Axis does it all.

Fantastic mid range disc, i cannot believe more people don't throw this disc!!!  It is in direct competition for the the top mid range slot in bag.  Super predictable, does exactly what is asked of it and nothing more.  Overall one of the better discs I've thrown.  Try one, you wont regret it!

I would consider this disc the Buzzz killer. It is a little more consistent but a little less workable than Discraft's marquis disc. It flies super straight with justt the slightest fade at the end. This allows you to control it to your hearts content. Its got just enough fade that if you put it on an any line with some glide it will start to flatten back out right at the end so it doesnt cut roll or do anything funny like that. It will just park where it lands.

MVP just makes solid discs in general. Their plastic just seems more durable with a better feel than most other plastics. They also seem more consistent between runs. If you're apprehensive about the different plastic around the rim, dont be. You cant even tell its there. MVP says that the "Gyro" plastic aroud the edge does cool things, I am not so sure about that, but it defintly doesnt hurt anything. If your looking to break away from your beloved Buzzz this is defintly the disc for you.

After my adventures with the Amp, Inertia and Impulse, I moved towards completing an "MVP bag" by getting a 176g neutron Axis.  And all I can say about this disc is "Wow!".

It holds an amazingly straight line when thrown flat, with just the slightest touch of fade at the end.  It skips a bit but not as much as I'm used to with other brands, and it gets really good distance when I make a long (over 150 ft.) approach, with reasonable forgiveness and great accuracy.  It has replaced the Innova Mako3 in my bag as my main straight-throwing midrange.

The only negative about it is that it doesn't hold anhyzer shots particularly well;  it tends to s-curve out of them.  I can make use of that, and I do have other discs for when I need that hard understable finish.  All in all, the Axis is an exceptional mold and a big winner for me.

(Edited 7/7/15):  The Tangent has relaced the Axis in my core bag.  The Axis is still a good disc, but I found the Tangent more versatile.
