Three cheers for the harpoon. I love it. I have long used the Innova Rat for many of my short drives and approaches and they're super hard to come by these days. But now that I found the harpoon, I don't need to worry. It feels very similar and is wonderfully flat and sometimes even puddle-topped, which I absolutely love. It has a great shallow feel and a very clean release. It's great for forehand and backhand. I started with a glow harpoon and it's a tad bit more stable than the numbers indicate but I loved it so much I bought one in alpha plastic as well. It's not as stable as a zone or toro but it's not trying to be. It falls in that perfect slot between a super straight putter and an super overstable approach disc. Lone Star is killing it!

This disc is a STAPLE in my bag. It's got a flat top so it's WONDERFUL for a flick and just as good with a back hand. This disc flies straight as an arrow until it finally slows down just the speed you're looking for. It's one heck of a disc.

I bag it in TWO plastcis the glow because LSD has the BEST GLOW PLASTIC. Seriously... Everyone will be jelly.
But their glow is also my favorite plastic to throw.

I also bag a Victor plastic because it 100% FLOATS but also it stops on a dime so upshots near an out of bounds park instead of sliding OB.

Grab a few and rock it.

I prefer Bravo over Alpha as Alpha is a bit too stiff for me but knock yourself out and try them all. You cannot go wrong with this disc.

I will mention in every Lone star review I leave how amazing their plastics are- especially the glow plastic.  It's up there with the other 2 top glow plastic manufacturers.  I don't need to name them, you already know.  For the price point, at less than 20 bucks, you have a glow disc that is top of the line and for the same amount of greenbacks as what it costs for most companies premium non glow plastics.

The harpoon was love at first throw.  It filled a missing spot in my bag and has also kicked 2 other discs out of my bag.  As the other reviews have stated, it is like a very well beat in typical speed four approach disc.  I use it for approach and midrange shots because you can really power up on it and it will fly FAR for a speed 4.  It's nice to find a disc that is so controllable that you can lighten you bag with it and carry less molds.  Now, lone star truly needs to make a disc that is that quintessential overstable approach disc.  I think if they added a beaded harpoon to their lineup, it would fill that slot quite well.
If all glow harpoons throw link mine does, then it is a PERFECT disc for a beginner.  If I had to choose any of my discs for a 1disc round, this would be the one I would most likely go to.

I have 2 glows one is flat similar to the Alpha I reviewed but slightly more over stable. The second is puddle top with very low glide that finds the ground fast so it has less chance to fade this is my go to forehand approach disc.

This is an approach/midrange disc it reminds me of a zone that's been smashed down to more of the profile of a suspect with a stability between too. My alpha is flat to slight dome and the straightest in my bag. It is still a true 0 turn and a dependable 2 fade. Feels great in a forehand or backhand grip.

Excellent approach disc. I prefer the ones that puddle top or real flat.

this disc reminds me of a super beat zone. The Bravo plastic is the best out there at the moment.

My Jokeri competes with this mold on the regular for that slot. It's that good. Recommend for sure.
