The Copperhead, by Lone Star Disc, is an overstable approach disc with a thumb-track on top of a very flat disc. It is a beaded, slow-speed disc that is great for control into headwinds or for moving around obstacles on the course.

    Victor Details

Victor plastic is a grippy, tacky, flexible blend. It is a high quality plastic that is best meant for putting. Victor plastic is the softer version of the Victor plastic series (Victor 2 is more firm). While manufactured in Texas, it is more comparable to MVP's Electron plastic. Great forehand replacement for my OG Slammers. Great feel in the hand and flat making a good forehand release. Dependable fade making for great options with shot shaping. Go to upshot disc and reliable off the tee as well. Looking forward to trying this one in other plastics as well

This is a really great straight flyer that has a little reliable fade at the end. I can throw this full power and it stays straight with little to no turn. Flight numbers are pretty accurate, except maybe the glide. 4 glide makes me think it would glide more than most putters and I don't see that.

When I heard this was similar to the old Slammers and not the new Sockibomb re-tool ones, I knew I had to try it. Shallow rim feels great for both forehand and backhand, very small thumb track is comfortable and not really noticeable on either forehand or backhand. I found this to be a very straight with mild yet quick fade at the end of it's flight, extremely sticky on the green with little to no ground play, handles torque and headwinds extremely well, and is extremely angle and power manipulative. Just overall a great disc. The added Bonus of Victor plastic floating just makes this disc even better for confidence on those scary approach shots near water.

My opinion may be biased because my very first test throw with the brand new Copperhead was an Ace, and I have two more aces with the same disc on the same hole since. It definitely fills a slot in the bag that not a lot of dics do. Straighter and more glide than a Pig, less overstable and goes much farther than the Sockibomb slammer, and that faster more overstable Berg with similar ground action. Such a wonderful disc and cannot wait for this to be offered in premium plastic. Probably my second favorite mold from Lone Star that I have played with so far.
