The Hydrogen is a straight-flying putter. Because of the straight flight path, this is a very versatile putt & approach disc. The Hydrogen can go straight, hold many hyzer lines, and can even hold many anhyzer lines, making this a great approach disc or a great putter.

Alpha-Solid Details
Alpha-Solid is Loft's premium plastic. This plastic feels wonderful in the hand, with just enough flex for a comfortable grip. It feels quite similar to Kastaplast's K1 plastic, with just a little less grip.

This disc is unique! I do not know if I would recommend it to beginners or not as it flies different from anything else. It is a great tool for teaching release angle but its not the most forgiving as it holds the line until it hits the ground or stalls. Thrown on hyzer it does not flip up, thrown on anhyzer it doesn't fight out but rather holds the line until it eventually stalls rather than fades. The plastic and manufactering might be the best in the industry. It just feels smooooooooth!!!!! However the shape of this disc is not the most comfortable for me. It is a deep beadless putter with a very rounded outer edge. In summation, this disc is like as if a glitch and berg were somehow combined. It feels like if a Glitch were somehow made thicker in every dimension. It resists turn like a Berg and resists fade like a Glitch. It is truly a very low glide disc as well in the vein of the berg. It goes where you throw it as long as that is not too far away. The question is not whether the disc is good enough but whether or not you have enough control to throw it where you want it! Unforgiving but awesome!

The claim is not a lie. This disc flies straight, straight, and straight. I do not understand how, but however you release the disc, it will keep flying at that angle. It is great for approaching the basket or for a drive in short holes. Tight gaps that you need that disc to fly straight, the hydrogen will be able to fly directly through it. I even used it as my putting putter for a while because of how good it felt in my hand. IT IS NOT A SCAM, Lol. I would recommend it for beginners because it can show them how to control better their throwing angles.

Amazing disc! This thing is so straight I could not believe how straight it flew, even with a touch of hyzer. If you want to hear my full thoughts, check out my review:

Great go-to putter for me. It flies super straight with very little power needed. I use it for really delicate approach shots and rely on it mostly for my putting. Mine is a little on the lighter side so sometimes I'll switch to the Luna when its more of a windy day. The thin deep rim (as other reviewers alluded to) took a bit of getting used to but now it feels really comfortable in the hand.

Loft was nice enough to send my crew and I some of their Hydrogen putters. They first sent us a couple of the Founders Edition A-Solid Hydrogen's to review and then a couple B-Solid Hydrogen's as a thank you for doing a disc review. For a up and coming brand to send a small TN crew some discs at no cost tells me two things. 1. They are good people who believe we all need each other to grow the sport. 2. They stand behind their product. This makes me a fan of this company. The Hydrogen itself is a deep dish putter similar in design to a Discraft Rattler or a rounded off version of the Innova Polecat. Let me be honest here and say that I have never really been a fan of that type of putter, however I wanted to give the Hydrogen an honest chance. I have smaller hands so it was rather hard for me to grip these but after a few throws, I got used to it. Being completely honest again, I wasn't a fan after the first few throws but the more I worked with it, the more I liked it. This disc is super straight and will absolutely hold any line you put it on as long as you don't try to overpower it. This isn't going to be one of those throwing putters that you absolutely rip into, but if you are looking for a good straight yet controllable putter for those short touch shots, this is the disc for you! I noticed that this disc seems to get more glide if you throw it a little nose up. I know this is something we try not to do in disc golf most of the time but seriously, if you throw this disc and cant jive with it, try tossing it a little nose up and you will be impressed. If I had to compare this disc to a disc that I personally bag, I would compare it to the Ruru from RPM Discs. The flights are similar but the Ruru seems to have a touch more overstability than the Hydrogen. Don't get me wrong, I am in no way saying the Hydrogen has overstability, just simply saying that the Ruru tends to fade a bit at the end of the flight where the Hydrogen will just stay straight. Thrown with that nose up angle I was mentioning, the Hydrogen will get you much more glide than marketed in my opinion. As for the plastics, The A-Solid is your more premium throwing putter plastic with a decent amount of grip and it comes in some super nice colors. The first two B-Solid Hydrogens I felt, feel absolutely amazing with a stiff tacky grip that I have actually never felt from any other brand. I have since felt a couple more B-Solid Hydrogens that seem to be more slick than the first two I felt but they are still reliably stiff. I tend to prefer a softer putter with more grip so I would be interested to feel a B-Solid an a Soft blend. All in all, the Hydrogen is a good putter but at the same time, it would be a super situational disc for me. If I were to bag it, I wouldn't think I would pull it out during every single round, but I do believe that it would be absolutely perfect for some shots that you just may not be able to get with other putters. If you want to see my crew and I throwing and reviewing the A-Solid Hydrogen, check out the video below.

As advertised, this is the straightest putter that I've ever seen thrown or personally used. I've thrown it off the tee on occasion, but I love this disc for putting. Its low speed and glide make it excellent for giving putts a bid on dangerous greens. While putting, it has a very small amount of low-speed fade, and it is only noticeable if you give it a lot of height. The one downside of this disc is the rim depth. Initially, I thought I would really dislike the disc because of its uncomfortable depth; however, as I used it more, it became familiar and comfortable in the hand, so I no longer consider it a downside. Loft's alpha-solid plastic holds up well and feels good in the hand.
I have nothing but good things to say about this disc, and it has made my putts much more accurate. I'd recommend purchasing a beta-solid Hydrogen to test out the mold and get familiar with it. From there, if you like the mold, you can purchase the more expensive alpha-solid. It's certainly worth having more than one.

As everyone else has already stated, this disc is straight. Unlike most putters, this disc likes to be thrown flat in order to fly straight, even with some decent power. It will only hyzer flip if given a lot of power. It also holds a really beautiful backhand turnover. The feel in the hand isn't the most comfortable, but at least the feel is a result of the beautiful flight. Definitely a sacrifice that is worth it in my book.

The rim is very deep, feels more like an ultimate disc than anything but not as comfortable as one. My big issue with this disc is to get any sort of distance out of it you almost have to throw nose up instead of nose down like most other discs. For me that makes it un-baggable, altering your throwing form for a single disc is a bad idea and will only lead to trouble.

This is truly the straightest disc I've ever thrown. You have to get at least 200-230' out of it, and your release angle has to be dead flat, but if you do that, it's dead straight. No turn, no fade, finishes straight. It's actually kinda freaky to see the first time.
The description of the plastic is perfect. Similar to K1, maybe just slightly less grip. But absolutely fantastic stuff. Very little rim thickness, as you might expect for a 1-speed disc. And it really is a slow flyer, comparable to the Berg but does get more distance thanks to staying in the air a bit longer. Enough to give it a 3 glide.
Not a disc I would find comfortable for putting since the rim is a little deep for my taste (I putt with the Fierce) and pretty thin, but a great throwing putter. If you don't have a disc for tunnel shots, pick this up.
