    I LOVE the Spark.

Picked it up a couple years back, DF signature

Great for straight forehands/backhands with reliable fade and decent skip.

Also great for forehand rollers and the occasional overhand

    Utility disc for sure!

Very overstable for me. Great for flat to skipping forehands, backhands reliably dump and stop. I utilize the Spark in place of a Firebird. Great grip, really like the feel of this disc.

Easily one of the least favorite discs I have ever thrown. I did own the Frost Moonshine plastic, which is now OOP. I couldn't get it to do anything except just fade. Never used it for anything once I figured that out because I couldn't get it past midrange distance, so I would use a Justice or something instead. The Spark in other plastics might be more viable, but with the amount of trilogy discs in the overstable fairway driver slot, I will probably never throw the Spark again by my own choosing. Right now, I have the Trident for a utility spot, Explorer for 7 speed overstable, Convict for 9 speed overstability, and Criminal for meathooks, so I do not envision needing a Spark for anything.

This is a good overstable fairway.  It will fly straight however it will not turnover much if any at all.  This is a very good consistent disc.

I have yet to pleasure of throwing a Recycled Spark as advertised by Dave Feldburg. I do however love the opto spark. i own 4 at the moment and keep 2 in my bag. For me they are an amazing forehand disc, on a good hyzer line and pumped power it will flip up flat and fly for good distance and fade out perfectly. backhand will produce similar results with the right power, otherwise it holds great lines. Anhyzer will curve very well. Still, with how Feldburg talks up the Recycled plastic version of this disc, i would love to give that a whirl.

*UPDATE* bought a Recycled run of the spark and really didnt notice too much difference. Well no more than i would expect from just the different blends. Opto and Recycled both fly great. Bottom line these are a great betweener disc, a touch too far for mid, and a little short for a control driver.

For me the Spark is like a fairway driver Roc.I own 4 of these and they cover any shot between 320-380. They also cover forehand shots from 250-300 as well as all of my thumber&tomahawk shots. The best part about this disc is the rim. In the hand it feels like it is meant be gripped and ripped all day. Beginners could benefit from throwing forehand and thumbers with this disc.

My go to thumber and scooby disc. I use the recycled plastic for shorter, sharper left turns than I need the felon for. Great upshot disc both FH and BH. 1 of my 5 favorites.

Profile: Feels more like higher speed control driver, pointier profile

    Flight:

OPTO: At first I loved this disc. Straight with a consistent fade.  But more and more I found I like my Felon's performance better.  For shorter shots I preferred my Justice.  I realize this disc is suppose to bridge the gap between those but it's just too close to the Justice without being quite as reliable.

    UPDATE 8/18/16:

RECYCLED: Picked up a recycled version of this disc and this is the disc I was looking for.  It's not slow and OS like it's Opto brother.  It's a bit more understable with a reliable fade at the end.   It holds up into the wind too.

    Comparison: Eagle

Final thoughts: This fits between my felon and my EMac Truth.  This is quickly becoming a staple in my bag.  If you are going to try one, get yourself the recycled version.

From playing baseball for 18 years, there have only been 2 discs I can throw sidearm; the stiletto, and the spark, the latter of which is even more overstable than the stiletto in moonshine frost plastic. I've thrown the spark in opto and moonshine frost, and both are seriously overstable. Seriously though, best super overstable utility driver you can get your hands on!

Bought this disc when i was new to the sport and hated it. like most other discs, i revisited it about 9 months in when my arm has developed into something more than a wet noodle. Judging the disc by its flight ratings, it should be right up my alley. Im a HUGE fan of Prodigys M1, and the DD Convict, but this disc fell way short. The disc has a virtually flat top and looks very odd flying through the air. It feels like a trident to me, meat-hook-city.

I first picked up the Spark when I was looking for something a little less stable than my flat top Champion Firebird and XXX. I wanted a disc with more distance, less fade, that I could also backhand. The Spark was a great fit for this unique slot in my bag.

The Spark isn't so overstable that I can't get a good backhand throw with it. It is great for certain lines that require a constant turn and reliable, medium fade. I can release the Spark flat and have it travel a little distance before starting to fade, it definitely isn't a distance disc for me.

It is great for forehand shots, I can get a little more distance out of the Spark than with some of the faster more overstable discs in my collection: Champion Firebird, Opto XXX, Lucid Felon, Opto Scythe etc. Compared to most of these discs, the Spark will fly a little straiter while flat, and has a softer fade. This aspect of the disc gives me a little bit more control with not as much of the crazy overstable skips and hops.

I think the Spark is a great utility disc that is very consistent. I see it occupying a slot in my bag for a long time.

Having been able to caddie for Dave Feldberg and watching him throw his signature disc, I decided to get one myself. Now, I don't claim to have the arm or the play ability of a pro, but this disc is doing exactly what I have picked it up for. The primary use for my Spark is a thumber. I have not been a fan of throwing a thumber before, but with this...my mind has changed. When you need to get over that tree or across a water hazard with little to no room for error...this disc is the one. I have been able to throw it farther than I had ever expected to. It turns just at the right angle to hit the ground and stop. No rolling or bouncing, just a hard hit and stop. I wouldn't trade this in for anything else as a thumber disc.

I picked one of these up at the Glass Blown Open. We personally asked Dave Feldberg what the Spark is like and he said, "It's Latitude's version of an Eagle-X." I'm not one those old school guys who was around when different versions of the Eagle were news, but this thing flys nothing like the DX Eagle I've thrown. My 172g Opto Spark is beefy overstable.

This disc has a nice flat top, which is a must have for me for me for forehand control throws that need to finish right. The Spark doesn't do anything that my Discraft Flicks or MVP Resister don't do, but this disc will be a very valuable disc for Trilogy fans who are looking for a nice flat overstable fairway driver. If I had to throw a Trilogy only bag, the Spark would definitely be in it. This is the flatest overstable driver in the Trilogy line that I've seen so far.
