The Mace is an overstable mid that can handle big arms, but can also be controlled by less powerful disc golfers. Latitude 64 says that they took the best of all their previous midrange molds to form the Mace, and that it is the perfect disc for a one disc tourney.

Although I do not bag it anymore, the Mace is a very solid, controllable Midrange that would be great for minimal-disc rounds. I found it can do everything pretty dang good, just nothing absolutely amazing in my opinion. It has a great feel in hand and can handle some power, however when I got it I was looking for something that I could be confident into the wind with. This thing does have a bit of turn but always seems to fight back to some degree. Short hard fade which is very predictable.

It definitely may find its way back in my bag...honestly only complaint is I thought it would fight wind a little better. I think L64 numbers are essentially correct, except a little bit of turn was pretty consistent if I was throwing it more than 70%. The compass is what I bag over this Maul as I find it overall straighter.

I have to give this disc a good review because this was my first ace disc. The mace is a great mid for straight flights and glidey upshots. I picked up a mace because I transitioned from Innova to Trilogy and was looking for a Roc3 replacement. Both discs have a rather large bead, however I found that the Mace is a little taller but not really deeper. Out of the box the mace will be a straight to stable disc that will hold a line and as it gets beat in, it will become a great tunnel shot disc. If you have around 300' of power this disc will do just that. I also got a mace in zero hard and it was slightly more stable than my opto to start but beat in quickly and got very glidey. The mace also sits down very quickly and doesn't skip much at all as it has a very large bead which makes it great for upshots that need to stick under the basket. So if you are looking for a great tunnel shot upshot disc, grab a mace just above.

Just received my order of 2 opto line maces, both max weight. Out of the box I love them, they have a slight dome and feel great in your hands. I am a big fan of the Prodigy M line discs and this feels and flies very similar to an M2, i just love opto and gold line plastic alot more than 400s, 400G or 750, plus the price is cheaper. I couldn't be happier and will be keeping my eyes open for more max weight opto lines to purchase in the future.

*UPDATE* I recently purchased a couple zero hard maces, and it is a completely different disc. It has a flat top, but the same depth, so the rim fells like a levy. I'm one to favor flatter topped discs, but for me this has a weird feel. There is quite a difference in flight path as well. Brand new out of the box, 178g, had noticeably less fade, and a touch of high speed turn. Flew great but it was also a lot straighter than my beat in opto. I'm gonna end up trying to pawn these off on a buddy and just keep getting my Opto collection cycling.

I love my mace for two shots i normally prefer my Gator or Wolf depending on the situation my mace comes out when i need to make a long roll show because the thick rim can run over roots like they are nothing and and stays standing very well and in open courses that i need to really put some power behind my throws

Opto 177/Gold 175. For the most part, this disc is my go to midrange. Anything that is not a tunnel shot, something where I do not have to throw through a target, or any type of strong wind, this is only midrange that I will pull out of my bag. Now i know that sounds bad but for tunnel shots I prefer a Discraft Buzzz or Latitude Claymore because of being able to flip them up and a more straigher shot rathere then a hyzer approach. The Mace is good for any level of player. It also has a good glide for a midrange. Only problem is, is that I do not like it in the wind.
