The Mace is an overstable mid that can handle big arms, but can also be controlled by less powerful disc golfers. Latitude 64 says that they took the best of all their previous midrange molds to form the Mace, and that it is the perfect disc for a one disc tourney.

I feel the Mace is a little slower and glides less than advertised

However, this has found it's way in my 25+ tourney bag for hyzer grenades.  I can launch this over some greenery and watch it slice straight down and stick without torturing my well seasoned mids.

Bigger arms might get more out of this disc than I have.

I have a max weight gold line.  I bought it to replace my Pro Roc, and like Latt plastic more than the Roc 3's champion.  It just what I expected --- just about a Roc but with that amazing Latt glide.  I often used my Roc spiking around trees on 200-250' holes.  It took some time get used to the extra glide, but once I did this is my #1 mid.  I carry this and a Fuse for turns.

I owned for a short time a Gold Line Purple Mace, purple because I'm a star wars fan and the obvious Mace Windu joke. As far as the disc feel in my hands, I could not stand it. For some reason I couldn't find a comfortable grip for this disc in my hand. Flight wise it was a very predictable overstable midrange, however the feel in my hand was so bad I exchanged it for a Pain, which feels perfect in my hand. If you want an overstable midrange that is predictable as all get out, then consider a Mace. I do recommend getting your hands on one first to make sure the feel is right for you

I have this disc in goldline plastic which i think is the best plastic on the market today. The flight of this disc is pretty straight but it does not have as much fade at the end as it suggests. I threw it on an an-hyzer today and it fought out of it nicely, went straight a little ways and faded nicely. When thrown on a hyzer line it doesn't have a lot of glide so it held the hyzer line then came down really hard and really fast. I found that this disc didn't like the wind all that much. When thrown with anything but a tailwind it just comes up short and you're not sure how its gonna fly. This is a great disc when not thrown with anything other than a tailwind. I think new players all the way up to pro level will find a great use for this disc. Ill be bagging mine for sure.

My Mace is 176 Orange, Gold Line. In comparison to the Prodigy M3, this disc goes further and has more high speed turn. The plastic feels great and forehand rollers are awesome with the Mace. When thrown on an anhyzer backhand release, this disc turns more than I expected, but usually has a hyzer finish. On a flat release, it will turn a little and have that hyzer finish. On a hyzer release, it holds that angle the whole way to the ground. For sidearm shots and upshots, I did not like this disc. Sidearm flicks flipped over every time. Touch shots are very tough with the Mace because the disc is sensitive to power and release angle. Also, if there's any headwind, probably don't use a Mace. Reach for a more stable mid-range, like a Drone or Gator.

I have been playing disc golf just under a year now. My disc is a 169g Gold Line. WOW! I LOVE this plastic. Not only is it a really beautiful gold color and it looked like there was ripples through it. The feel of it is amazing as well, being more similar to Innova's Star plastic. It is really super grippy and soft. After smacking it into some trees, skimming over a sidewalk, and laying down into some gravel, it showed little damage, just a few scratches. The edges were rounded and felt really good in the hands. Having short fingers and small hands was not an issue, I was able to grip the disc really well. I found this disc to be very similar in flight to the Dynamic Disc Suspect I reviewed, but with way more glide. While the Suspect was great for getting around the trees, this one did the same, but with some added distance after it made it around. This was useful when there weren't more trees behind the ones you were initially trying to throw around, but not as good when there were more. More than a few times it got around the first ones, then smacked into the ones behind. I can see a place for it in my bag for some of the courses around here I play. When thrown flat, it went straight for a while then slowly started fading before it finally made its way to the ground. When hyzered it had a beautiful long arc before it went down. I only got to play 2 rounds with this disc and a putter, and I am looking forward to keeping it in the bag and working with it more. This is probably going to end up as another "utility" disc that I keep for special situations, but will be great for hitting those shots. Good disc for everyone. Can't wait to see what more I can do with it!
