The Fuse is one of the most dynamic midrange discs on the market. This disc is larger than the average disc in both diameter and height and can weigh up to 178 grams. The Fuse has an understable/stable flight path and can hold curves and lines with very minimal fade. This is a great disc for weaving through trees and obstacles.

The Fuse is an excellent straight-shooter. The glide is tremendous and it really likes to float through the air on a tight line. Thrown on hyzer it might flip up and turn a little, but generally will just fly on a rope. When thrown flat it will gently turn over to the right. The Fuse is also great for large anhyzers when given a lot of air space to work.

The Fuse is a solid disc. It is very straight with minimal power and SUPER glidey. It would be a great "driver" for new players needing something to fly far without being able to handle fairway drivers quite yet. That being said, I don't bag the Fuse because I don't find it very comfortable in my hand because it is a very, very deep disc. It was really hard for me to get a feel on. The Patrol fills the same slot and is quite a bit more comfortable in my hand, but when my friend let me try his Patrol, I was not actively looking for a Fuse replacement because I was still satisfied enough with its flight to outweigh the uncomfortability. It's not the understable midrange for me, but if you like the feel, I am sure you will love the flight.

    Solid. Get one.

I have a 174 Recycled, a 176 Gold and a 172 Opto—I love them all. Don’t know why, but elevation makes these like completely new discs each time, which was off-putting at first, but they’re really enjoyable after some practice.

They are incredibly expressive discs—verging on trickshot discs. Not much power is required to get them to weave through lots of different obstacles & it’s downright scary how accurate they can be. They’ve really never let me down when I’m stuck somewhere in the deepest suck of the forest. I’ve lost track of how many approach shots thrown with all three fuses have resulted in pings at ground level. I sank my first 200’ upshot with the 174, as well. I can’t figure out if I like throwing it on angle better or worse than throwing flat, honestly—it’s all good. Just expect it to exhibit a different “personality” at a different elevation; my neighborhood course was at 4500’, and I would take this out of my bag for mids like MVP’s Axis, DD’s Truth or L64’s Core, there, but it flies like a dream at 3300’, 6000’ & 7000’.

Don’t believe for a minute that this disc is “too understable” for you until you’ve given it an honest try on a heavily wooded course. You’ll be impressed, I promise.

The Fuse is a very interesting little disc that will let you throw short drives and upshots with minimal effort, and if you have bad habits this disc will help you break them. If you throw this disc at 100% power and torque it over, this disc will immediately turn over and fly into the ground, because it is undeniably more understable than advertised. This is more of a finesse disc that's designed for people who play wooded courses and want to place shots accurately when they don't have a lot of vertical or horizontal space to work with. If you throw it flat, it will land flat with 200' of power, or turn very slowly to the right with 275' of power. If you throw it on a hyzer, it will easily flip up to flat and ride straight for a long time because it has some incredible glide. If you throw it on a high anhyzer, you can get turnover shots with much less effort than other mids. But if you just torque it over expecting to get good distance by muscling the disc, then it won't do anything. Buy a Fuse if you have a lot of "touch" and can control your release angles, or if you just want to practice good form. Don't buy a Fuse if you throw every disc the same way, because throwing a Fuse like you throw a Destroyer is going to give you bad results.

I have had a change of heart about this disc. I recently had the opportunity to throw is disc on a few longer, than i normally throw, backhand annhyzer lines 260-320ft. At the distance I'm usually reaching for a buzz os, but the course required understable finishes which left me scrambling for something to throw because I can't throw a forearm flick to save my life. Luckily I had this disc in my bag, it was only there to act as a dog bowl and buffer to keep my putter from warping. From my previous review, which is at the end of this review, I really didn't care for this disc. That changed today, the fuze flies nicely on a light annhyzer line. It will easily carry 250ft without needing much torque, while also maintaining a slight understsble anny line. Finishes nice and seems to park well on dry, tough terrain. I was really impressed by it, doesn't get five stars because I still see it as a specialty disc that doesn't warrant enough use to intentionally carry full time.

    Original review:

I can't seem to find much use for this disc. It glides nicer than any other disc that I have ever used, and it is kinda fun to toss it down a hill to watch it it sail, but that is about all the nice things i can say about this disc. If thrown gently, like no power at all it will stay up nice and give a slight anny. If thrown with any power at all the disc develops a mind of its own and is unpredictable able. Its okay from about 150 out to about 200 but I have plenty of other discs that are great at that distance. Overall a very disappointing disc consider ing how many positive reviews there are for it. Also it seems big in the hand almost like an ultimate disc, might be good for people who are used to throwing larger diameter discs.

The Fuse is by and far my favorite and most used disc. It is very easy to keep low beneath branches that my Fury or Saint would rise into, while not compromising on distance. In fact, I often find my Fuse and Fury next to each other on test throws (230-270ft). I have a 174g Recycled Fuse, which I find to be the perfect blend of grip, durability, and cost efficiency. To me, the recycled line looks and feels just like the GL without the marble shimmer. The recycled material has a minor cosmetic blemish that surely doesn't affect it's flight, which I would rate at 5, 6, -1.5, 1. The Fuse handles power much better than my Mako3 which I found becomes under stable when thrown at full force (supposedly a dead straight midrange). The Fuse is slightly under stable, but it is very, very predictable and seems to have an identical flight pattern no matter how hard it is thrown. This disc is perfect for holding the line on an anhyzer approach and is even my go-to driver for tunnel shots.
