The Latitude 64 Ballista is a fast, overstable ultra-high-speed driver. It is described as "a more understable World" and will exhibit a slight degree of high-speed turn for the advanced disc golfer. This disc offers a predictable flight path every throw, and is often used for shaped shots that require a good amount of fade.

I can say with experience that this disc is not good for beginners. When I started playing disc golf, all I had was a Ballista. I found that I had mostly better results with forehand throws starting out, but most of what I got were rollers and it was pretty frustrating. I wound up hurting my elbow a little trying to get it to fly, so I took a few days off and got some slower speed discs. With the slower discs, I wound up not throwing my ballista again until recently and I find that it definitely flies differently than it did when I was a beginner.

Looking back at myself as a beginner, this disc felt unpredictable. Sometimes I would get a really good and long flex out of it, but it would roll most of the time because I tended to give it too much anhyzer. After I hurt myself and picked up some slower discs, I switched to mainly throwing backhand. Revisiting my Ballista with my current backhand, it actually feels a bit understable. It probably has to do partially with the fact that it's getting beaten in now, but I get a good bit of turn on it before it fades which I thought was pretty surprising. I think now that my arm is more developed, I can actually get it to turn a little which is a lot more satisfying than seeing it just roll on the ground. It's definitely not a good disc to use if you're just starting.

I got the Ballista in Opto Air 155g due to my noodle arms haha. I decided to pick it up since I thought it would fly similar to the Lucid Air Trespass I had but lost in a tournament. I was wrong. I could not get this disc to cooperate. I threw it flat one time and ended up getting a lucky long drive since it turned into an accidental roller. Even put on a good bit of hyzer it seemed to just want to turn and burn right. Needless to say I think I am taking this one out of the bag and going with a Ballista Pro.

I just smoked my previous practice field distance record by about 40 feet. I was able to get this disc out to 410 feet with about 90% effort. I haven't gotten to test it much yet, but I look forward to it.

I have to admit that when I got this beast I didn't think I would be able to put it in flight and get a true run from it. But since I bought the Air plastic I can get this beauty out there a good way. I have to have ITB always.
