This is the perfect disc for any beginner and the best disc for tight wooded fairways that require accurate lines and shot shapes.

The K1 plastic is amazing, the shape of this disc feels great in the hand, and whe you throw it, it just pops out.

For beginners this disc will flight straight with a slight drift, if thrown flat. It will glide for days, and may come back at the very end. However, for more advanced players disc will flip up, and turn to the right and stay going right with no fade what-so-ever coming back. It is great for hyzer flips, and high left to righ turnover shots.

    Super great disc.

Great disc, feels like the lat 64 fuse.

When thrown on hyzer it will flip up and push forward to the right.

When thrown on flat, it will slowly turn right the whole flight.

    Great for tunnel shots

    Great disc but...

I had high hopes for this disc. I like Kastaplast and the feel of K1 plastic is great. The plastic is also very durable. You can depend on it lasting for a very long time.

What I didn't jive with was the feel of the shape itself. It's pretty shallow but blunt and almost too shallow for me. That is pretty rare because I generally like shallower discs. For me the flight is similar to a Lat 64 Claymore, but I love the feel / shape of the Claymore much more.

I think if I threw it for a long time I could get use to it, however it was just a bit too awkward for me. I could see it being great for some just not for me.

Great understable mid!  The plastic is fantastic  I've been looking for a mid that would turnover and glide out of the hand and this did exactly that.  This thing glides forever.

Has a very nice gentle turn and never even thinks about fading.  Easy selection for wooded courses with a right dogleg.  However, it is easy to overdue it due to the lack of fade.  Ease up on this and watch it do exactly what you want.

The svea is a great disc. I started moving away from throwing forehand and have been looking for a disc that can turn right on my backhand release and hold the line with little fade at the end. The glide in this disc is incredible. I think it has very unique lines compared to other disc I bag. It just overall fun to watch it turn right on my flat shots and fade out at the end.  I am throwing it in the k1 plastic. I havent tried the k1 soft yet. I think this disc belongs in everyones bag.

This is an amazing understable mid that just seems to glide forever.

If you can't get this disc to hyzerflip then the disc isn't a problem. It's very easy to get it to standup and straight down a fairway.

I hear the hate coming from my buddies for this disc, and frankly most anything that's understable, and it comes down to having a bad release.

The Svea will show you what you're doing wrong and sometimes it hurts that you aren't perfect but if you can't throw the Svea without it turning and burning you'll benefit your whole game by working on getting a good release.

Great straight to right flying disc. This is a disc that won't dump to the right and turnover hard. Nice for rhbh anhyzer flights that will hold the entire way. Feels comfortable in the hand as well.

As Andrew said, it is easy to write this off as a flippy disc for new players. However, I will say it requires much cleaner form to fly correctly. So much so I would say this is a disc for intermediate to advanced players, or newer players wanting to really work on their form. If you want to develop a clean release, throw this disc ... as it is much less torque-resistant than many discs. Get it right and you can get amazing flight paths out of this disc. Workable like the Comet, but way more comfortable in my hand.

Such a great first disc that you can grow with. I find it very much like a discraft comet (maybe a little faster and slightly less stable) and a GREAT hyzer flip disc. With it's glide I find it going about as far as my fairways a lot of the time if I get a good pull.

This disc is easily my favorite in my bag. For me it's irreplaceable for low speed anhyzer lines and turnover shots because I have no forehand. It will flatten out and glide to the right (RHBH) thrown high up on anhyzer without fading past flat. It hyzer flips easily and finishes to the right on a flat shot. I've also found it to be very forgiving when thrown nose-up accidentally. Because of the lack of fade, it just helicopters down relatively straight rather than fading hard off to the side. Just don't overpower it, and the lines this thing takes are smooth.

I feel like this disc is misunderstood by some. It is an AMAZING neutral to understable disc but you can't throw is like a buzzz. It has much more glide with requires smoother throws. Its understability really lies more in the fact it doesn't have much to any fade. It's flight holds super duper true. Definitely something you can hyzer flip to glide for +300 regularly.

My friend let me try her Svea today and good lord this disc is flippy. -1 turn feels like a total understatement. I threw it on about a 45 degree hyzer and it tipped over completely after about 100 feet and never came back. This disc is great for beginners who are looking for something they can flip up,  but for anyone with a little higher arm speed it's going to be flippier than you'd want.

    This disc is amazing!

As a beginner I absolutely love the Kastaplast Svea! With my beginners arm, this disc has become a staple in my bag. I find myself reaching for it more and more. While I am not sure if it is just my current arm speed happening to matching the flight numbers/path with the Svea,  I can get it to do what I want it to do nearly every time. I can throw it so that it is dead straight with tons of glide that lets it just keep on floating or I can try and muscle it a little bit and I can get it to turn slightly and touch down lightly with the distance hitting about 225'. It is just a fantastic disc to watch as it goes where I want with pinpoint accuracy.  As for plastic  (K1) it is has the best feel from a disc that I have thrown. With the flight, accuracy and amazing feel, this disc has helped build my confidence and is definitely pushing me to become a better player because of it.

An update to my initial review...

I still love this disc, but it is much more understable than my initial impressions.  It can be VERY touchy and requires a nice smooth release.  When I apply more than 80% power it has a fairly significant right turn (RHBH).  The good thing is that this disc has glide for days so you can still push some good distance with a softer throw.  I use it primarily for back hand turn over shots, as it holds an anhyzer line like a champ.  I suspect as my technique continues to improve I will be able to pull it out more, but for now, it only comes out of the bag once or twice a round.

Fantastic disc for beginners and seasoned players alike. Should be common knowledge by now, but I feel obligated to mention that K1 plastic is hands down the best I've thrown and arguably the best in the business. Svea feels great in the hand for a midrange; my hands are on the smaller size for a guy (~17.5cm) and this is one of the most comfortable mids I've thrown. I've been playing for just under a year now and started rebuilding my BH from the ground up until winter hit. I'm not used to throwing a disc BH and watching it turn over and finish right, so the Svea has been a really nice tool to have for shots where I don't want to throw a FH as well as practicing hyzer flips.

This is one of my favorite discs to throw. It has slightly larger diameter, almost very similar to a roc. However, it is nothing like a roc. I decided to order one when I saw my friend throwing it on any hole he needed a straight shot on. It is also the only disc I love throwing anhyzers with. It is an amazing disc, everything about it, the shape, the plastic, the feel. Buy one and you will be happy you did. Kastaplast is the best!

I absolutely love the Svea. It was one of the first Kastaplast discs I bought after I felt it in my local shop - I fell in love with the feel of the K1 plastic and was looking for an understable mid. I played a few rounds with it and immediately realized the utility of this disc for me. Perfect hyzer-flip mid, excellent in the woods, great for panning right shots RHBH. I have shoulder issues that don't allow me to utilize a forehand shot, so this disc takes care of any shot I need to go right - eliminates the need for a forehand for me. I will say, if you try to power it up too much it will dive right - it takes a good smooth pull to reach its full potential. A few weeks later my love for the Svea was further solidified when I went home for the holidays. I had gotten my dad into disc golf a month prior, and he had played three rounds or so. We went out to our local course and everything he threw was diving straight left quickly (as happens for most beginners). I handed him the Svea and said "try throwing this one just like you have been." He tossed it about 250' with a beautiful S-curve; I looked over as it was flying and he had a beaming smile on his face and when it landed he looked at me and said "I like that one!" - as many of you know there's not many better feelings than giving a new player with you a disc and seeing this happen, and when it's your dad it's all that much sweeter. Only downside was I needed to go buy another one! I think this disc could find a spot in anyone's bag and I highly recommend picking one up.

Svea is only adequate for me. I like to have an understable mid to toss on an anny in the woods. I found that my beat in Wombat was less touchy. The Svea actually needed a bit more arm speed to push it forward which then causes it to  turn over more than I prefer. I would say the glide is not as high as the number shows thus the need for more arm speed. Also, the grip did not have that wonderful feel that Kastaplast is known for. There is a seam on the edge, and angles of the rim are a touch awkward and a touch harsh. These are all subtle issues and overall the disc is fine, but I couldn't bring myself to love it.

I have seen nothing but rave reviews of Kastaplast since they broke onto the scene, so I was pretty excited to try this disc. So, how did it do?

    The Plastic:

K1 really is a very premium plastic. Is it worth 30% more than Innova's Star plastic? I'm not so sure. It's extremely durable, very grippy and very stiff, but I don't personally think it's so vastly superior that I'd consistently buy K1 plastic discs. If you frequently find that Star plastic is a bit too slick for you, though? It very well may be a great investment.

    The Feel:

This disc reminded me a lot of the Discraft Comet. It feels very bulky in the hand and I personally really dislike how it feels. The Svea is extremely glidey and a domey mold is almost a requirement for that sort of flight, but the way the shoulder and wing feel are a huge gripe of mine.

    The Flight:

As for what everyone cares about: the flight. It's phenomenal. This thing very gently turns up and keeps on turning and gliding throughout its entire flight. Extremely straight, even at lower speeds. If the feel of the rim doesn't bother you, this disc will prove to be a super reliable understable mid that will help lace tunnel shots with ease.

What a wonderful offering from Kastaplast!  This midrange in K1 plastic feels great in the hand.  I throw mostly RHBH, and after one round, this has become my go to midrange.  It is very straight, but will also keep whatever line you put on it.  I don't have a ton of power, so can't say how it fares when thrown with real heat.  This disc has some good glide, and I believe their numbers are pretty spot on for me.

I'm looking forward to trying out more plastic from Kastaplast!  Oh and kudos to Infinite Discs for the killer 3 color foil warrior stamp - looks fantastic!

Wow... where do I start with this disc. Let's begin by saying that I absolutely love the feel of the K1 plastic. Actually, not only the K1 but the K2, and the K1 Soft as well. Kastaplast's plastic blends feel better than most plastic blends on the market. When I had the chance to get my hands on a new FR Svea to do a review on, I couldn't pass up the opportunity. Just by feel in the hand, I knew I was going to love it before I even threw it. We took the Svea out to a local course and threw it on several of the holes as well as a wide open hole to get a good review of how it flies on different angles and different speeds. I absolutely fell in love with this disc during this review. It is an outstanding understable Mid and is actually now one of my favorite Mid's I have ever thrown. I am an intermediate player and I was able to get a ton of glide out of this disc. It is understable and glidey without being ridiculously touchy. Most of the time with an understable mid, I have found that they are so touchy that I can only get them to do what I want them to do a fraction of the time. With the Svea, I don't feel like you have to be quite as touchy and you can still get the same type of shots out of it. How did Kastaplast do that? Yeah... I don't know either! I actually bought a Purple K1 Svea to add to my bag. This thing is gonna kick my Discraft Sol out that the 2019 AM World Champ, Noah Osborne gave me and I'm not so sure I am going to miss it with how much I love the Svea. Do yourself a favor and grab yourself one of these discs! If you want to see my crew and I tossing the Svea around, check out the video below.

    The Review:

For reference I have been throwing Latitude 64 recycled and opto-x fuses and was looking for these to become a replacement since recycled fuses are hard to find and K1 plastic is unmatched.

Out of the box the Svea is certainly a bit more stable than the Fuse. It has a flatter top and a very comfortable, somewhat shallow rim. In 90 degree weather the K1 plastic had incredible grip and held its shape nicely.

The flight was very straight and I was able to get a surprising amount of distance from the Svea. It will definitely work into to turn quickly out of your hand, but brand new I would compare it more to a DX Roc.

I highly recommend this disc and many other discs in the Kastaplast lineup to anyone who has not tried them. Both beginner and experts will love this new mold.

Throwing a K1 plastic at 4,400 ft in Utah. To me, 5 stars = incredible disc 4 stars = good & dependable disc. I don't give out too many 5 star ratings.

This is a glidy disc. I remember seeing Kastaplast's Instagram announcement, within it they said this would be a glidy disc. That statement holds to be true for me. For this disc, I wanted to give it a 5 star rating but it seemed like it lacked a little something for me. I think that I wanted to disc to be more understable than it actually is, and that is why it isn't a full 5 stars for me. Maybe as it gets beat in it'll become what I want it to be.

This is a comfortable disc to grab, the K1 plastic is wonderful, and pretty durable. It is a little flexible as well. Overall a good in the hand feel. I've hit a handful of trees with it, as well as skidded it across some pavement. However, it shows very few marks of damage.

This disc has a pretty nice flight path with little fade. The numbers for this disc are pretty accurate. This disc can handle a nice gentle anhyzer line. When thrown flat, it'll fly to the right a little bit, then glide to its landing spot. Thrown on a hyzer, it will flatten out and then fade to the left. Making it great for a prolonged hyzer line. Throwing the disc was rather enjoyable and easy. Kastaplast designed the disc well.

I really enjoyed this disc a lot. It was real easy to throw. The disc was pretty reliable, I know how it wants to fly and it is easy to tell it to do instead. It didn't really fight me either way that I wanted to go. It wouldn't do extremes all that well though. It wants to do long (midrange long shots) and gentle lines, in either direction.

I would recommend this to anyone.
