Made with recycled materials, the Echo Star X-Caliber feels slightly softer and grippier than regular Star plastic while maintaining the mold's signature overstability.

I rarely do reviews but had to hop on and put a 5 star on this disc. Since I started playing 1 year ago I've been bagging all sorts of destroyer type discs and max out at 370-380 ft. I'm exclusively forehand thrower. I got a 174g Echostar X-Caliber and it had one of the best turn-glide-fade combos I've ever seen. In my first field throw I threw my furthest flat throw ever at 415ft. Flipped up and rode on a laser being a mellow fade. It is slightly less stable that a star destroyer out of the box. It pushes and glides so well and when thrown slightly on anger holds the turn for a long time. Hopefully it holds up this flight durability wise!

175g EchoStar.  Excellent durability, maybe better than normal Star.  Good feel, maybe a little slick for some throwers.  Great combination of distance and reliable fade on forehand throws in the 250-350' range.  Not for weaker arms.  I go to this disc whenever I am throwing into a strong wind, because I have yet to turn it over and run it away from the target, like I often do with my champ boss, and star destroyer.  Release on an anny, it will level out and fade.  It is beefy, but it fades forward nicely.  It will definitely skip and/or roll around behind your target, so you want to leave it out wide enough to give it the space to slow down and sit where you want it.  But you can COUNT on it doing the same thing every time.  Gets around impediments very well.   I've had it in my bag for almost a year.  At first, I could not get any distance out of it.  Now, it is used more than anything else in my bag on courses that are long, windy, and spacious.  I recommend it to anyone with a big arm or that is forehand dominant, for its pure dependability on longer throws.
