This is the straightest disc I have ever thrown.  And I don't mean straight like when people say that but meaning net "straight-ish", like a Mako3 which has a hint of an S-curve - but rather, I do mean actually straight

Thrown hard, it will yield a hint of a turn, like -0.5, if not, it's laser-straight.  This was the first disc I bought after my 3disc starter set, and after 3 months, got 2 aces with it.  I also discovered that the Wombat3 was great for anhyzer drives, to curve it around an obstacle for which you might have used a forehand drive.  I use this and the beat-in dx-Leopard to make that shot.  Unlike the beat-in Leopard, it doesn't fight back at the end, but rather gently laying down at the end of the anhyzer curve.

I haven't had many tree hits with the Wombat3, so it (and the dx aviar), are the only DX discs still holding up.  A Pteranodon in Grip Performance plastic taught me just how rugged discs can be, and since then, in addition to the Grip P., I've added only HoneyBee(that's like a premium Champion), GStar and Star plastics.  I'll be staying away from DX (and Pro) regardless of the disc's function, as DX is just too cheap and disappointing with it's best-before 3-months lifespan.

I have a DX, Champ, and Star Wombat and think its one of the better discs in my bag.  This is an easy replacement for medium FH shots as it will do a soft turnover without ever coming back.  The Star is a little more stable and might fight out of the turnover if thrown a little slow.  The 6 glide is correct when you lock the disc in it will carry very far on its line (Star is closer to a 5/4 glide - mine falls out of the sky sometimes).  The DX is probably the best plastics as it glides easier and seems to burn out less than champ.  I can get around 300 ft with the dx and maybe 250 with the star for example.  Great disc to learn on and great to use for some nose up turnovers.

This disc just flies straight. If you can aim, you'll hit your mark every time. I use this for shots around 175-250 feet and aiming at the basket. If I do put a lot of power into it, it does tend to turn over. I have not had great luck throwing this disc into a headwind.

I bought this disc at a shop in DX plastic after doing a little research in search of a straight-flying disc, and man did this fit the bill. I was definitely in the beginner range when I got the disc (I'd like to think I'm intermediate now), but I could reliably throw it dead straight with just a little fade at the end as soon as I bought it. It's still my go-to for alley shots or picking a straight line through trees. I find it a little difficult to get a lot of distance off of this, but I don't really use it for that.

In my experience it'll also hold a slow anhyzer very reliably if you put one on it backhand, but I play forehand most of the time that would be appropriate.

This may be a bit of hyperbole, but the Wombat3 might be the best disc for turn over shots in the game.  At the very least, it's the best and most approachable disc for turn overs that I've found.

I originally got this disc to be my wife's first "especially for her" disc.  She was having trouble with nose up shots fading left into the woods, so when I saw that this disc had 0 fade listed, I thought it would be worth trying out.  It turned out to be a great success.  This is easily my wife's favorite midrange to throw and maybe her favorite disc all around.  It's really helped her to be able to throw straight shots, and even when she does get the nose up on this disc it doesn't fade very far to the left.

When this disc is thrown nose down, it's a thing of beauty.  It's very true to the flight numbers of 5 / 6 / -1 / 0.  It has all kinds of glide, it will slowly turn to the right through the whole flight, and where a normal midrange would start to fade, this one just slowly drops vertically out of the sky.  Unless you put quite a bit of hyzer on the release, this disc will almost always turn right if thrown with any power at all.  Controlling the hyzer angle gives you great control over how late in the flight this disc will turn over.  Other understable midranges will let you throw late turn overs, but those disc are all far touchier than the Wombat3.  I've never found another disc that lowers the barriers to entry for controllable turn overs like this disc.

My Wombat3 has been surprisingly durable in DX plastic.  It's had more than its fair share of tree hits, and while it does have some small nicks and scratches, it hasn't taken any major damage and it still flies excellently almost a year later.  Out of the box, it had a touch more fade than advertised, but that beat out pretty quickly.  It's long been on my mind to pick up a Star or Champion Wombat3, but the DX is still in such great shape that there hasn't been any need.

The rim almost feels like this is a faster, farther version of a beaded putter.  It's convex, but a little bit pointed like you would see on a faster disc.  Very comfortable in the hand.  Although it's on the deeper side for a midrange, my wife, who dislikes deep discs, has no trouble throwing this.

Overall, this is an excellent first disc for a beginner, but could also be a perfect fit for an intermediate player looking to grow their turn over game.

I absolutely LOVE this disc! This is such a straight flyer! Be warned however, if this starts moving to the right, as RHBH, it will most likely NOT come back. This is exactly why I got this disc and I love it. For any shot that is dead straight, this is what I reach for. Put some angle on it and it will hyzer back. I love this thing so much, that I will be getting one in champ plastic. The one I have is about 160 grams in DX. As DX does, after a bunch of tree hits, the flight starts to change. I think a champ wombat 3 will compliment a beat in dx greatly! I love this disc for stand still holes up to 250-275 feet. This thing also will float a ton. I've even used this for long straight putts. Love this disc!

This is a DIFFERENT disc than a Wombat. The Wombat 3 is faster, straighter and has just a slight fade at the end. Neither versions of the Wombat should be thrown with full power, but the 3 version can take a little more snap.

They both have their place in my bag. The Wombat 3 flies straighter, farther, and I can see it being a great, short driver or longer midrange than a Wombat.

I'm kind of surprised more players don't carry either version in their bag.

I can't overstate how much I love this disc. It's my favorite in my bag. I don't throw with much power (maybe 300ft with spd 11 drivers) so this fits perfectly into my game. When I throw the Wombat3 it just flies straight and smooth then lands soft. When I started throwing this disc it changed my approach game dramatically. No more guess work. It just goes where I throw it. The Wombat3 was the first disc I put in the basket from over 100ft.
