    1. The TL is a very solid disc that will give you just a little turn before getting the fade at the end
    2. The TL is a great for hard forehand or backhands
    3. The TL is great for shot shaping either way since it has a little turn
    4. The TL doesn't glide quite as much as the Hawkeye
    5. The TL is great for the wide open fairways

Straight as an arrow. That's how I'd describe this disc when thrown flat. If that's what you're looking for the TL is a great disc. It's very neutral - a classic holds-the-line, goes where you throw it type of disc. Great glide as well, these can get a lot of distance for a fairway.

A couple of caveats, and why I gave it 4 stars and rated somewhat beginner friendly: This disc really will go where you throw it -meaning if you don't have smooth form or you are off on your aim point, don't hit your line.. well the disc is using that great glide in a direction you don't want it going in. Now, this is a good thing for beginner's to help hone their game by throwing a disc that shows you your flaws, but it takes a certain level of skill to master this mold. For more advanced players, I found the TL to be a bit squirrelly. I prefer the reliability of bagging some with just a tad more stability for straight shots, so I eventually took out the TL in favor of the Infinite Exodus (which is the old Eagle-L mold). Another good option if you like the feel of the TL but want something with a touch more speed and stability is the TL3. Still, I had plenty of great flights with this disc and it's mostly a matter of preference. The TL is a fantastic mold that will make a lot of players bags as a straight flying neutral fairway.

The TL is a very straight flying fairway driver. It is very similar to the teebird. If you are looking for a fairway driver with a little more of a straight finisher then this is the disc of choice for you. I love how reliable the TL is especially when thrown flat and dead straight through the woods or a low ceiling. You can always trust it to land on that straight line you put it on with little to no drift on the finish. It always sets me up for an easy birdie or definitely a par at the least. I've found that this disc with a more domey top has a lot more glide than the teebird as well so it is amazing in tail wind conditions or on those long gradual down hill shots.

This is one of my favorite disc I have ever thrown. As I was learning the game the TL was one of my absolute favorite to throw and was the first disc I could comfortably throw for backhand distance. I can throw this dead straight with just a little bit of fade at the end. If you are learning a backhand throw absolutely pick up a TL. I would compare the TL to the more famous teebird with a little less fade at the end. It is also very easy to force over and will hold its line that you give it so if you are learning it will correct you fairly well. If you only throw one form and need something like a big backhand anhyzer this disc will hold it for you without flipping up or turning into a roller. This disc had become an absolute must have in my bag and I think if more people tried it out it would be to.

I picked up a 167g Star TL looking for a very straight fairway disc I could hyzerflip and for uphill shots that was a bit less touchy than my River.

I LOVE this disc. It has become my favorite fairway driver. For me, it's a disc I can get easy, reliable distance on any hyzerflip-to-neutral shots. If I have a shot just past comfortable midrange distance but want a mid-like flight, the TL comes out. Mine takes a shallow hyzerflip perfectly at ~300'+ of power, getting up to flat with maybe a touch of turn, but always comes back a bit left of the line (RHBH) with a bit of fade. Compared to my Crave in the same weight, my TL will flip up a bit more easily despite the numbers. Otherwise they serve fairly similar roles. I'll tend to use my Crave now when I want to throw a bit harder and get a little less turn. I use the TL more than a Teebird due to the wooded fairway shapes in my area.

The TL seems to get overshadowed in the crowded neutral fairway market, but I'm really glad I found and bagged it. Check it out!

I throw this about 300 feet.

It's a great, neutral fairway driver. Very turn resistant. It goes dead straight for 95% of the flight and then has a subtle fade at the end. great go-to fairway driver. holds any line you put it on. very versatile, all around a great disc.

One of the first discs in my bag, the TL has never left it since I bought it. As a beginner with a less powerful arm, this disc would briefly fly straight before fading quickly and predictably, somewhere between 180'-230'. As my arm developed and the disc became more beat in, this has become my go to for what is essentially a scaled up version of the same shot. A relatively gentle throw will result in a straight flight with a slight amount of turn, before fading back to the left, between 270'-300'. This disc has been a staple in my bag for a very long time, and i can't recommend it enough.

The TL is more beginner friendly than the teebird because of it lower fade.  The TL and teebird are pretty similar, but the TL has slightly less fade, which is useful for straighter shots than the teebird can handle.  The TL is very controllable and a useful fairway driver for tunnel shots, line drives, or reliable throws.

    Disc: 175g Star TL

This is a situational disc for me, but it performs its job well. I use it for [1] shots that need to turn right, [2] tunnel shots that need to finish with minimal fade, and [3] long sweeping hyzers that need to push forward instead of dumping out to the left. It executes those shots nicely, and has earned a well-deserved spot in my bag.

For a 7 speed fairway driver, the TL has sneaky distance. It's surprisingly stable out-of-the-box, but gains more turn as it beats in. It will hold just about any line you give it, but I wouldn't throw it into a headwind. It does well with tailwinds and mild crosswinds.

I have two TLs in star plastics that I keep in my bag.  One is pretty beat up and one is brand new and still fairly over stable.  The TL is an amazing disc for the woods where many straight shots are required.

I am much better at throwing discs lightly, and what I love about the TL is that it flies the same whether you throw it lightly or if you throw it with moderate power.  It usually turns too much when thrown really hard however. My beat up TL flies lazer straight with little right to left movement.  My new TL flies like a slightly seasoned TeeBird, straight with a left finish.

Another thing the TL is great for is big turnover shots, it holds the angle really well and the exceptional glide makes this thing fly so far to the right when thrown hard, high, and with anhyzer.

I love how the TL will fly exactly like how you throw it. If you throw it on hyzer, it slowly moves to the left throughout it's flight.  If you throw it flat, it goes straight with little left to right movement.  And when you throw it on anhyzer it will slowly drift right it's entire flight. Im my opinion it flies just like a longer Mako.

I would recommend this disc to anyone who wants a reliable straight fairway driver.

    UPDATED REVIEW

At first I did not like this disc, actually giving it only a three star review (which I preserved below). I think it may have been a lack of experience, or my previously multiple times broken wrist causing it to show any and all errors I made during throws (I have since corrected the issues caused by this through physical therapy). Whatever the cause, I now very much like the TL. The disc flies straight and true so long as you give it a good release, and if you really put your arm into it, you can get it out there a very long way before the fade kicks in.

I even liked the TL so much after relearning how to throw better, that I decided to try out the TL3... a disc I do not like due to the fact it turns over too easily for a "straight flying disc". The TL though is perfect. If thrown well, it easily handles the torque, does not turn over, and just rides a rail to your target.

The TL also makes a shockingly good overhand disc. I know, I know... you want that high turn, or high fade to make it flip... well, the TL doesn't flip until the last minute as it is screaming toward the ground. I can tomahawk or thumber it to about 250 feet in an arrow straight line, and about 15-20 feet above the ground, it flips belly-up and smashes into the dirt. This makes it an essential tool in my bag for short tunnel shots where I don't want to risk left / right variance.

As the disc has beat in, it has not shown any signs of more turn, but just less fade. I am sad that these are getting hard to find as this really is one of the essential tools in my bag now, and I want to get a few more.

    ORIGINAL REVIEW
I really wanted to like this disc. My disc (175g Star) is quite a bit more dome-topped than the one in the images here. I don't know if the extra glide is what has made me dislike the disc, or if it's something else, but I am really not a fan.

This disc is supposed to be laser straight, but instead, mine is very undecided on which way it wants to go. If I try to throw it straight (RHBH), sometimes it turns fairly hard to the right, and other times, it takes on a massive fade to the left. After many, many throws with it, I still can't decide with any certainty which way it is going to want to go on any given throw. Any wind whatsoever makes this even worse. Part of me wants to just start driving it into trees hard to make it more under-stable so at least I will know, but that seems like a waste.

The disc does hold hyzer and an-hyzer lines relatively well, but there is still a bit of variance with the accuracy to which the disc will hold the given line. Sometimes it will dump early. Sometimes the insane glide takes over and does weird things, and sometimes the disc seems to try and correct the flight and straighten out. As previously stated, mine has a massive dome and is VERY glidey, so that probably has something to do with it.

Every time I think I might be willing to try out my TL again, I end up reaching for my Mako3. I can rely on that disc a whole lot more to go where I want it to. I really wanted to like this disc with the heritage it comes from, but I just can't get into it. I purchased mine online, so could not look at it first. I may eventually go find one in person and give it a shot, but until then, this disc has been removed from my bag.

I would recommend this to beginners as a good stepping stone into fairway drivers. I used to carry a TL in my bag and thought it flew just to how the numbers said, plus the of the disc in the hand is great. I say how I like the feel of the disc in my hand a lot in my reviews, but it is a huge factor for me. The one down side to this disc is that it beats in quick and becomes heavier on the turn stat, like a -2 or so. This disc basically replicates a beat in Teebird, which is what I choose to carry instead. overall though, a great disc.

The TL flies exactly how I like my beat-up Teebirds to fly straight out of the box. As it seasons it will get a little bit of early turn, but will still maintin that slight fade at the end. Perfect for a step up in stability from a Leopard or Leopard3!

RH BH - Consistent 450 foot arm

I like the TL for a multitude of shots.  My TL is a bit beat-in and flies slightly more understable than a new one.  For me, the star-TL acts primarily as a hyzer-flip disc for both backhand and forehand shots but it is versatile in that I also use it for rollers and many scramble shot on wooded courses.  This discs allows me to shape a multitude of air shots, primarily on wooded holes.  This disc has a consistent fade to it, meaning I rarely turn the disc so hard that it 'throllers' into the groud.  Overall, this disc is an essential part of my bag and I enjoy it for a multitude of shots.

Quickly becoming a favorite of mine and is my go to fairway driver!

my 175 Star TL is to my surprise versatile for EVERYTHING. I wouldn't have guessed but I LOVE this thing for forehand as much backhand. This is a great disc for power discipline, as throwing it 70% power will give you perfect control and desirable distance with it's superior glide. I find it very dependable for hyzer lines as well and has proven pretty reliable in mild headwinds! If I have a shot right around 300ft, chances are I reach for this BH or FH, knowing that it will turn a little, glide a lot, and have a dependable, mild fade.

I haven't personally thrown a Teebird, but TL's are magic and I don't think any disc will replace it.

Long straight and glidey.  Best three words to describe this disc.  I get zero high speed turn, it just holds a very long straight line and lays down to the left (RHBH) at the end.  This is a beat in tee bird except that it has better high speed stability.  Can't believe it took me so long to get this disc, it is phenomenal!

The TL is a great disc for beginners. It's very stable and will help you find the imperfections in your form.

For a weaker arm, it may seem like it has more fade than a 1 rating, but as you increase your arm strength and speed, it'll hold to those numbers.

I didn't love this disc when I got it because my form was pitiful, but now that I throw correctly, it's a staple in my bag when I need to disc down.

I love my TL.  Mine is Star, and fresh out of the box it really did seem like it was a straight flyer with a light fade - over time however, likely to both my arm speed increasing as well as the disc beating in, it definitely developed a touch of  turn as well.  For me, I throw it about 330 feet - if thrown flat, it turns just a bit and then fades for last 1/5th of the flight.  I think the turn nets me a little more distance, as it tends to a big further than my TeeBirds.  Overall a great disc for long tunnel shots, wooded courses, or anything you want to fade gently without much movement left or right.  Compliments a tee bird / thunderbird nicely for a different shot - I carry all three and use all of them often.

Star plastic, 170g.  I freaking love this disc. Straight as an arrow for 250' for me on a windy day. It went exactly where I aimed it. I was releasing low, but the wind would still loft it a bit.

This would be sufficient for a driver for a beginner, but I'd highly recommend this for everyone. It would be excellent for tunnel shots.

I have a 172 g. Star TL and this disc probably gets more use than any other in my bag.... extremely reliable disc!

The Star plastic does break in very slowly, but after 1.5 years of regular use this one still flies mostly straight. At this time the disc displays a very slight early turn and if thrown with a little height she'll get a little fad. More height equals more fade.

I can also put this one on a nice anhyzer line and she'll hold it for almost the entire flight.

The disc also performs pretty well in moderate wind, just make certain to give it a very flat and low release.

The only time I've had this disc turn over on me was when released on an anhyser and into a head wind.

My local course is a very wooded one and this disc is ideal for long tunnel shots with just a tad of fade at the end.

I just bought a second one..... which is what we do when we have found something great, right?

I have owned a 168g Star TL for a few months now and love this disc.  At the moment, I don't use this disc a lot other than a few drives from the tee along with a couple upshot.  I still love this disc though.  My disc has a mildly gummy top and the weight feels just right for me.  When thrown properly I get a nice staight flight with a gentle finish.  I am an intermediate player still learning and at the moment I can get this disc our to 315'+ on a good throw.  I mainly use this disc when I have a shot a little our of range with my Buzzz.  For reference, I also have a 168g Star Teebird and there is less fade on the TL which I've had both about the same time but the TL is used a bit more than the Teebird.

I picked up a Star TL because a friend couldn't stop telling me how much he liked his... Every. Single. Round! When I finally couldn't listen to it anymore, I finally picked up my own.

The reason my buddy wanted me to get this disc is that it will hold just about any line you put it on, and the disc doesn't disappoint. I haven't been able to put too many rounds on it, but anhyzers stay turning until the last second, straight shots go straight, and slight hyzers turn right around doglegs. I was able to put this disc through trees I didn't think I could aim through, and bounce it off the basket for an easy deuce. Durability is also a strong point of this disc.

If you're looking for a point and shoot midrange, you won't be disappointed.

This disc is one of my favorite discs in star. I actually prefer it over my TeeBird (which is one of Innova's most popular discs). I feel that's it's a straigter flying, longer, and more accurate disc compared to the TeeBird. When it's new and even moderately used it has a nice hyzer that seems just right to manupilate both open and wooded shots. After it is well worn in it becomes a straight flying disc with less power and an easy hyzer flip disc with more power that tends to continue to turn after going straight at the very end of its flight. Also, it is very good for shots that you want to skip right (LHBH) once you get used to how far it goes/curves after it hits the ground. I like to have my trusty TL for skips and hyzers. While it is so beat in I don't carry it in my bag anymore (I have a river, warship and stag that can cover it's various uses) I could easily put it back in and have no problems with it.

Found a used 175g Star TL, the red paint was gone (in the water awhile?) but the disc looked to be in pristine , like-new condition.    I tried it out, and found that it was a good, relatively straight-flying disc with some fade on the end, though it performed best for me on mild hyzers.

I then got a new 175g Star TL from Infinite Discs.  It's a bit less beat in than the used one, but performs fairly similarly... relatively straight with some fade and skip at the end, most reliable when thrown with a mild hyzer angle.

(Edited/rewritten 5/20/2015) The TL is now an indispensible part of my core bag.  I acquired a second Star TL at 168g and a GStar TL (limited run) at 168g, and they're both excellent.  I am using the TL for longer and longer throws in the woods where I need a good straight throw with just a bit of fade at the end.  The Teebird has too much fade for my noodle arms;  the TL fills the niche perfectly.  The TL is a wind-fighter, and I reach for it when the wind crops up on the course.  Last, but not least, I'm using the TL as I learn to master forehand throws.

All in all, the TL has become to me what the Teebird has become to many disc golfers:  that versatile, indispensible disc for many uses.  If you prefer less stable discs (like I do), then I strongly recommend trying out the Star TL.

My primary driver this year. My course has a lot of straight drives and this is the disc for that. With very little fade at the end you don't need to worry about adjusting for it. Just point and shoot. I'm a limp noodle and have some grip issues since I injured my fingers when I was younger. This relatively slow driver helps me easily out drive a lot of the guys at my course who are throwing distance drivers. I highly recommend this disc for any newer players who love lightweight teebirds, or happen to have a new teebird that is just too over stable and they don't have a year to wait "seasoning" it.

Being a Michigan golfer, the need to thread tight fairways is ever abundant and with this disc I'm able to reliably throw with accuracy through wooded lines and tunnel shots. In a  small variety of weights a player should be able to throw a nice flex hyzer or anhyzer finishing right without fade. Wouldn't live without it!

This disc is beginning to grow on me.  I had been searching for a medium range disc to fill the gap I had in my bag.  On the low end, my putters and Buzz combo took care of those shorter shots.  For middle rangers that were a little outside of my Buzz range, I did not have a disc that was suited for that.  My Valkyrie has been an amazing disc over the years, but it been used in areas a little outside of its designed comfort zone.

Insert TL.  What a straight flier.  You can put some torque on this and it will give you a slight turn with a gentle fade at the end.  Exactly what you need for those "too short for driver" shots" where you use your driver but get too much skip and end up 50 feet past.  This disc fills perfectly that gap between your Roc/Buzz and fairway drivers, giving you that extra carry that maybe your midranges do not.

This disc is definitely worth a throw if what I described above is what you are in search of.

So I have been using this disc for a couple of months now after a break. This disc is basically a hair-less-stable teebird. I mostly use this disc for tight tunnel holes where I need a minimal fade. I can throw this disc very accurately and it holds the line perfectly. We had a local C-tier tournament where there are couple of tight holes where people use all kinds of discs. Obviously people use their disc of choice. I am telling you they were using destroyers, D1's. I was using my best fairway driver TL and I was still farther then everybody else and perfectly in the fairway for an approach for birdie on par 4 holes. I want to buy couple more TL's and beat one TL more so that I could get slight turn to use it and I could replace my Valkyries. Overall, if you can't get your teebird to the point of really worn-in condition, use TL.

One of friends gifted me Star TL for a tryout. I am amazed by this disc. I am an intermediate RHBH thrower and when I throw this disc,it holds a true straight line and small fade at the end. "Infinite Discs" awarded me this disc as their weekly giveaway winner so, I am very excited about my new TL. I hope I can bang some 300+ distance with this disc in the fairways of course.
