This is a great beginner disc, I'm throwing this off the tee more and more, a good flat flyer. Easy to throw. doesn't finish super hard, this is my most consistent disc that I currently bag.

Really loving this disc! The XT started out a bit overstable, but beat in pretty fast and now is the perfect straight thrower or for controlled turnover approaches! I actually bag 2 XT and 1 champion. I use the champion when I need something slightly more stable than the beat in XTs for a bit of fade at the end. What really makes this mold stand out to me is that it is nice and shallow. I really enjoy the cleaner release it provides and it has helped provide me with a lot of consistency. If I can only take 1 disc out for a round, this is it!

This is for s Star plastic version, but as usual, infinitediscs doesn't actually list many available plastics.

I have been looking for a good straight driving putter and a turnover driving putter for a long time now. I have a Pig and Rhyno, which are both beat in enough to fill the role, but wanted something in Star that would last a while and be consistent. The Stud is sort of filling those roles. If I throw it on a slight hyzer, it pops straight and holds the line well. If I throw it on anhyzer, it just seems to hold the line great and never really fights out.

While this is not the ideal disk for straight shots (I am trying to get a durabke Invader as my DX one beat in fast), the Stud is absolutely a great disc. I like it for shots I need to move a little left, or that will do a slow s-curve and end mosly center. I am unsure how it feels at low power as I have basically been ripping on it.

I use putters for anything under about 300 feet, and the Stud is seemingly very reliable. It works great for back-hand, is shallow enough for forehand (and holds the lines very well), and is actually really nice for overhand shots too. I am still looking for an arrow-straight putter, but I think I need to play a round to compare this to the Wedge and see which I like more for that slot.

When the Stud came out, I grabbed one because I putted primarily with the colt, and I figured something a little more stable. I noticed with my xt colts that they would wear in to pretty understable for me. The stud has been a great switch, and has been a little more consistent in the (mild) stability, which is important for me in my putting game.

I recommend the XT plastic, as it has a nice grip and in all honesty, feels different than my star and dx studs.

For anyone needing a solid putter that has a lower profile, I would definitely recommend the Stud and it's brother the Colt.

The stud is the disc that taught me how to drive with putters. It can handle a little bit of power without turning over, just enough to get you down the fairway. You do have to be careful not to overpower it, however. This is a great disc for teaching you the limits of a disc, and it will show you if you are throwing with any off-axis torque or if you have a clean release. The Stud is also a very reliable upshot disc, as the stability it provides lets you take a very gentle, accurate hyzer approach to the pin. I would recommend the stud to just about anyone.

Amazingly straight flying disc. I use both XT Studs and Star Studs for pretty much anything 300' and in. They've almost completely replaced all my midranges. The XT starts off straight to slightly overstable, but after a few solid tree hits flies dead straight to slight right. Star studs are a solid straight to overstable depending on how hard you throw them. These are the best shallow throwing putters I've ever thrown, especially when combined with a Colt for more understability.

The XT Stud is great! I personally was not a fan of the DX Stud or the Star Stud because it has a little deeper of a rim feel to it than my trusty XT Colts. I was actually a bit disappointed because I've been looking for something to replace my S-Line P2's, a disc that I love to throw but don't really like the feel because of the rim depth. The DX and Star Stud did not fix that for me, they still had somewhat of a deep feel to them, so I stuck with the S-P2. The XT Stud, however feels better. It still is a little deeper than the Colt, but this one I like in my hands. The flight is not as overstable as a star Stud, but definitely compliments the XT Colt, which is what it was designed to do. The XT Colt will fly straight with little to no fade, and the XT Stud flies straight with little to moderate fade. I don't think this disc will end up replacing my S-P2 because it doesn't fight the wind as hard as the P2 does, especially if I switch to my C-P2.

Overall I like the XT Stud the most out of all of the plastic variations. I can see myself putting one in the bag for various courses where there are a lot of short holes and I need to fill that gap. On wide open courses, however I'll stick with my Colt and P2 combo.
