Let me preface this review by saying that I am not great with mid-ranges and I have had a hard finding a mid that compliments my game as a distance thrower. Finesse is not my game.

I decided to try this mid-range out and I can confidently say that it's the one. Whether throwing at 100% or 75%, this disc is crazy consistent. I purchased it in KC Pro Plastic, 180g, and it's great in head winds and tail winds, offering up pretty similar flights in both. In a head wind: the disc has a tendency to flip up and turn slightly, then has a nice fade that is soft enough to not allow it to skip, which is great when you're just trying to plant a shot in the circle. In a tail wind, it flies straight but has that same, soft fade that just allows it to just stop when it hits the ground.

I would definitely recommend this disc to someone who wants to be able to throw at or near 100% with their mids because it almost always delivers the same drive. It does not turnover but does offer a mild hyzer-flip and nice, gentle fade. And for reference, if you want to go for a big hyzer: it holds that hyzer line with amazing glide. It's a workhorse.

This disc is a slightly more overstable Mako3. It has a very predictable fade that is good to use if you want to park something next to the basket from a distance. I personally use this disc when I am about 100 ft away from the basket and want to park it. Not the biggest fan of the KC Pro plastic, but other than that, it is a good disc that can be useful and would be good in most bags. 4/5

I played a one-disc round with this thing, and I've decided that it flies like a faster Classic Roc. It will charge right into a headwind and it will hold just about any line you put it on (even a solid anny). I can finesse this disc. I can putt with it. I can throw this disc almost as far as a driver. I literally parred my local course with JUST THIS DISC. In my opinion, it is a true multi-purpose disc. I would recommend it for noobs and seasoned vets alike. Also, I HIGHLY recommend and CHALLENGE you to that one-disc round,... I HAD A BLAST!!!

    Disc: 180g KC Pro Lion

Feel: This was not what I was expecting. The Lion is part of the VTech series that Innova released so there is a lot of material in the wing. Essentially the wing looks like a Wombat3 or the VRoc. When I kept looking at it, imagine using the naming convention that it is a "VRoc3".

Flight:  This disc flies like a Roc that has been well-loved. I find that when I released this disc flat with power I would "turn it over" but the Lion doesn't turn over, it just "pushes" right (further than you want), but then I started throwing the Lion on hyzer-flip and then it starts showing that it is a Roc in disguise. Lots of power flip up to flat, pushes straight with a mellow to zero finish. Frozen rope folks. On an approach, this is giving my Harp a run for its money, on low power I can trust is straight with a very mellow but dependable fade with the tiny little "Roc Hop". Keep in mind, if you are used to a Roc "panning out" on an anny, this does not. I will keep and hold, and take, and run with an anny line.  I don't have the best forehand in the world; I struggle to put a Roc on a forehand, I can kind of put a Lion on one. I am sure that with more practice it could get there.

Conclusion: You start to forget that the Lion has a bead, whereas the Roc IS A BEAD. The KC plastic I have will eventually break down to flippy (but it feels so good) so I might pick up a champ Lion (or a fresh one and cycle it like Rocs) when that happens. (3.5/4)

I recently purchased one in place of a KC Pro Roc (which I've always loved dearly). Let me just say, this thing shreds and it goes so straight if you let it. The profile of the disc is symmetrical and it reminds me of a "fast putter" with it's rounded nose and lower profile, but it holds flat in the hand rather than a deep domey dish like a putter. I've been able to lace this disc for 240-270' tunnel shots and trust that it will hold that line and get a mild and consistent right to left finish on RHBH.

Compared to a KC Pro Roc, you'll like the fact that any accidental turnover you put on the disc will quickly disappear as the Lion wants to fight out of it. It a little more stable than a fresh KC but it's still floaty like one and will reward you with a straight, consistent, trustworthy flight.
