The Kite is a midrange disc that every beginner will want in their bag. For beginners, this disc flies like a driver with the grip of a putter. New players who don’t have the strength or experience of seasoned players can still get really good distance from the Kite. This disc flies incredibly straight on low speed approach shots, and has minimal fade. For intermediate players the Kite is great for turnover shots and controlled approaches.

I've been using the Star Kite for my 3 years of playing and it is my most used disc in my bag (and the disc that I have the most spares of in case of lost discs). When we do a one disc challenge at a local course, I always choose the Kite. For me, it just feels good in the hand. I can get distance and I can control the disc. I don't have a very big arm (my drives with a driver are around 300') and like the extra glide the Kite gives me. I can throw it on a hyzer and it stays on a hyzer. When thrown on a slight anhyzer, it finishes softly at the end back towards a hyzer. It can be turned over too much if you go for a sharp anhyzer.
