The Innova Jay is a micro-beaded Mid-Range with a true-to-release flight, and it will be a staple in bags everywhere. This all-purpose disc can handle power or be finessed. It has better torque resistance than most Mid-Ranges, but still finishes straight. It is one of Innova's most point-and-shoot discs on the market. The Jay’s low-profile design fits comfortably in your hand for a clean release every throw.

I use the DX version of the Jay for forehands only. In DX the top is really flat and hard so it has good torque resistance but isn't beefy. I get some turn and then a fade at the end. I have poor form for a forehand but the DX Jay handles the wobble really well. It is 4 stars instead of 5 because it isn't durable in DX and I play in the woods a lot and so if I hit some trees it can warp easily. But they're cheap! The ratings I've given it are for forehands. I feel like the Star plastic Jays I have don't have a firm enough top for my forehands, but like I said, my technique is poor so I need a firm disc for the wobble. The hand feel on the discs is great too. The is a microbead but I don't notice it. I don't like beaded discs for forehands.
