I have the Invader in Luster, Star, Halo Star, Nexus, and DX. While most people use it as a thrower, I bag it for both throwing and putting.

The Luster and Halo options are both very firm and fly fairly stable. The Nexus feels like a more durable DX with a little more grip. There's enough difference between the plastics that there should be an option that feels great for anyone who enjoys beaded putters, regardless of what they use it for. This is a versatile and underrated disc.

In my friend group the Invader has quickly become my signature disc. Anywhere outside of circle 1 I throw this disc and it hits chains. I've played with it for about 9 months now and I don't know if i could play a round without it. In fact, I'd play a round with only this disc and I don't think my game would change much.

This disc flies perfectly straight for 95% of its flight with the smallest fade at the end to keep it consistent. I've thrown it on a string directly into the basket from 120' and caught chains from farther. This is THE approach disc. I'm shocked I don't see them on the course more often.

This review is for both Luster and Nexus plastics.  I only wish that I could give this disc six stars!  The lower profile and slight bead are very comfortable in the hand.  The flight is very straight with a slight forward fade at the end.  The low glide helps with distance control, as well as, the ability to handle moderate headwinds and crosswinds.  Seriously, this disc doesn't seem to fight the wind, as much as it simply ignores them.  The Luster plastic is a little gummy with a great grip and has quickly become my favorite off the tee and inside 150 feet.  The Nexus plastic has an amazing tacky feel that seems to catch the chains.  After a couple of days, this disc quickly moved into my "go to" putter slot.  The Luster and Nexus plastic Invaders make for a great short game combination!
