I love the daedalus. This disc is fairly understable. Great hyzer flip disc, gets a full flight and goes about 380'-400' for me. Can also be a pretty good roller disc if thrown flat or with a bit of anhyzer. Great distance driver, doesn't take a huge arm to throw it well.

I unfortunately found this disc too late. I have one and occasionally bag it for rollers or hyzer flips turnover shots. I tend to go a little more stable for my understable shot. I wish I had picked this up before my tern because it would have made the transition easier. I know many who bag it and as a first 12-13 speed driver I think it is a great option. It is really a great disc for those who can throw it.

This is a great disc for intermediate to advanced players. It shines in hyzer flip situations or when you want a big flex shot. This disc will get you tons of distance with minimal effort. It's easy enough to flip but not super susceptible to completely dumping and turning into a roller. Makes a great driver to their with the wind.

Decided to give this disc a try recently and I must say I have been enjoying it. For starters, this disc feels good in the hand. The rim isn't so large that you feel like it is going to be too much disc. It is also a nice and flat disc, with just a touch of dome, to give it some glide. I'm not sure if I got an overstable run of the disc, but it is surprisingly more stable than the flight numbers indicate. You can get it to turn pretty easily, but it also fights back very consistently, which is another perk. When I grab this disc i feel like I want to bomb it as far as possible, and it does that well. The only knock on it is that the rim is shallow, so you have to be careful to not let it slip out of your grip early...

This is an understable disc as listed by the -4 turn.  I am a new player but have average power in my backhand.  On a backhand throw this disc will leave my hand fast go right for a while and then end with a reliable fade.  This works well when you have plenty of room on the right side of the fairway and want long distance.  I am still working on a forehand with it but that should be a weapon later with the high amount of glide provided by this disc.  The plastic has held up well with many tree hits already.  Great disc for certain shots but need to have another driver with more control as well for tighter fairways.

When I first started playing, this was the first real distance driver that I bought and I bought it cause it looked pretty haha. Upon throwing it, it was way too overstable for me (naturally, I was a beginner). I stuck with it and as I got a little better it was still very overstable. I stopped using it and ended up selling it to PIAS. Well, after a few months I got a lot better and actually ended up buying the original Daedalus I had bought and sold, ready to try it again. I could definitely throw distance drivers at this point but it was still too overstable. I really wanted to love this disc but I just couldn't. For having -4 for its turn rating, it should've flipped at least a little bit but it acted more like a destroyer. I think this disc can certainly be a beginnner-level driver but I think it's just too inconsistent. The rim isn't too wide or uncomfortable and the dome varies a lot also so you can find one you like rather easily. It just didn't work for me. I found a lot more success with other drivers.

The daedalus I had in star plastic was not quite as understable as I was expecting, but it certainly had good glide.  The disc is surprisingly flat and feels very nice for forehands.  I would imagine that it would fly as advertised with a stronger arm.  The 13 speed rim definitely requires a decent rip to avoid any early fade.

I hadn't thrown the Daedalus much until today. I've had one in my bag that I'd occasionally throw, but I hadn't spent much time with it until I did field work today.

Talk about glide! These things soar! That said, they are very high speed discs. They're understable, but, if you don't have the arm speed, you won't see that. The first time I threw this it acted like an overstable disc. Now that I throw quite a bit better, these things will fly very well. If I put a good move on it but don't absolutely smash it, it'll go very straight for me and just as far as my Destroyers, just straight. If I really smash the disc, I'll see each understable fight pattern. I've never seen it turn as much as it says it will, but I attribute that to user error. It definitely is understable, though, you just have to really crank it to see it.

These seem like good straight to anhyzer discs. If you need something that carries straight or holds a turn for a long time, this could be your disc. That said, I don't think they're beginner friendly. I think you need to develop your drive a bit before trying one of these.

If this disc is flying overstable for you, I'd be willing to guess that you are throwing it too high or nose up.  I get my longest drives from the disc when I focus on throwing low, like 10 ft off the ground, low.  It stays in the air for a long time and keeps pushing forward when the fade kicks in.  When I need to throw higher lines, I go with a Beast, which seems better able to fly high and turn over.

I started playing this summer and play 3-5 rounds per week. I typically drive with a Mamba, Monarch, Roadrunner or Sidewinder. I dont know how far I throw (and would probably be embarrassed to find out) but I started using my Daedalus today and drove about 50' further than I am used to and was just as accurate. If you want a bump in distance, this may be a good place to look...

This is an excellent disc. I can crush it much more easily than the other discs in my bag. In crosswind and tailwind, it flies. It comes out of the hand smoothly but quickly. It lives up to the speed rating.

It does not like headwind.  In better hands, I'm sure its a great roller disc. I'll work my way up to that, I suppose.

Maybe the farthest throwing disc in my bag, at about 425' when thrown correctly. For me. I use this disc on more open holes where I can throw it on a 15 or so degree hyzer and have it turn over and glide right, then fade back for the last quarter or so of the flight. It's a bit touchy but I can also hyzer-flip this disc and get great distance when I need to hit a gap 150' or so out, although sometimes it won't flip up all the way, or too much, but most likely that's just me not throwing it correctly. Love this disc and I will always have one in my bag.

This disc is a long range driver that can flip and achieve easy anhyzer lines if powered enough. It has a wide rim so if you have smaller hands you might want to stay away from this one. But it is a great roller and tunnel shot utility disc for advanced players.

I recently found one of these in champion plastic just sitting on a farway, no name no number. Based on the numbers i tight this disc would be super flippy, it is not. I still can't seem to get it to turn, but boy does this thing fly! Easily glides out 400+ with very little effort. It holds a solid line and always seems to fade back nicely. The one I found is really beat in nicely, it's very gummy, and flys amazingly well. New champion will probably be way more syable than numbers suggest but if it flies anything life the one I found it will be worth getting and breaking in. I'm loving this disc!

I have been playing for a few months and I jumped the gun BIG TIME with this disc.  I just do not have the arm speed for this disc BUT the few throws that did fly correct looked beautiful

Love this disc!  I have it in Champion, Star, and Gstar.

Star - I love the Star plastic 166-172 for distance drives.  Flip it up, watch it hold a turn forever, then a very mild fade back just like the Flight Rating says.  The glide and speed on this disc will crush for you. 166g Star eats tunnel shots for breakfast.

Gstar - I bought a lightweight (160g) for tall S Bombs to clear tree tops and it's turned into a phenomenal roller as well.  I can get good distance before it flips into the ground and takes off.

Champion - The Champion plastic I prefer for forehand anhyzers and rollers (166g)
