The XT AviarX3 delivers tacky grip and a touch more flex than other premium plastics, making it ideal for confident upshots and push putts. This version still maintains the flat top and strong fade that defines the mold. The Innova XT AviarX3 is great for players who value grip without sacrificing torque resistance.

    XT Details

Innova's XT material is a midgrade plastic that feels similar to DX, but that is substantially more durable. This is a tough grippy blend that is popular for putters and midrange discs.

I really like this disc when I get caught in the woods. I can reliably sidearm it high up with lots of hyzer and rely on it to flatten back out and land in the fairway. Saved me many strokes when scrambling out of the woods.

To be honest I was a bit disappointed with the feel of this disc.  I was hoping to use if for sidearms, but the bottom of the rim is very sharp, making it a bit uncomfortable and causing me to struggle a bit to get a consistent release.

That said, it's perfectly fine for me when I grip it for a backhand, and it lives up to its overstable reputation.  I mostly use it for putts into the wind, where it allows me to putt with confidence and not over-adjust.  I'll also use it for some hyzer approach shots, although if there's a low hyzer angle I'll use my Berg instead, so it's a limited application.
