The overstable Aviar. I prefer a P3x because it has a touch more glide, but before they were widely available, I bagged the X3. Do not be confused, this is a putter, not an approach disc or mid range. This is not a Zone. This is a flat topped, overstable modified Aviar. It's dumpy. Mine does not wish to stay in the air. You can get some forehand action out of these as well.

This has basically become my midrange and approach disc. I can easily throw this 250' on an anny line and it will fly out quick slow down and just stall and land. Its pretty amazing and impressed my friends. Its the only disc that most people see me throw it and ask, "What disc is that?" I got it in the star plastic which I am very comfortable with throwing and it parks pretty well on the ground where champion will slide and spin a bit more. Because I love this so much I ended up getting a champion one that is puddle topped and also two  Discmania p3x's which are basically the same but with a bead. I think the bead makes it fade a bit more than the Aviarx3 but both can handle tons of toque and if you get your aim right these can be a bullet. They also do very well in the wind. If you want a putter to whip from a tee and be a great approach disc. I would get it.

Absolutely love my Aviarx3! I have mine in Luster plastic, but I have also thrown Champion and DX. Each plastic will provide you with a different feel, and will allow the disc to "beat-in" differently. My champion and luster Aviarx3s are incredibly fun to thrown, and extremely useful. I was playing a course recently when one of my friends said "if you ever ask Alan what he is throwing on this course, just bet its an Aviarx3." They are super reliable, and they are useful for an advanced thrower, and a beginner!

I love this disc so much, that I have 3 of them. 1 in luster, 1 champion and 1 in the new XT plastic. The flight Ratings hold pretty true. They all fly about the same distance, it just depends on how stable you want the flight to be. I used this disc for 99% of my up shots up to 250ft.
Luster- most stable with heavy fade (slight beat in)

Champion- straighter flight with med-heavy fade (beat in)

XT- straightest flight with medium fade (brand new)

Great approach putter. Mine is a bit puddle top but I wouldn't have it ay other way. Great if you're just learning how to forehand a it will be a consistent and accurate disc.

Great approach disc. Resists wind. Good driving putter. I have it in champion so not so sticky on the chains. Works well in the circle otherwise. Played a few one disc runs with it to get used to it. Happy I did. Fell in love. I won't be needing a zone now, as I have a drone and this. I have never really liked any Innova putter but the shape of this one reminded me of the vibrams putters of yore.

I haven't flipped it over and since it is champion and I don't max power it I should be maintaining this for quite some time. Great disc and filled the hole I needed filled.

AviarX3 was a total impulse buy from me. I got in in champion plastic at a local store. I wasn't looking for one at all. I needed a driving putter and was looking to order a Discraft Zone to replace my pile of now understable sss wizards. The wizards were a little too understable even new for an OS approach. I still prefer it for in the box though. Anyway. I bought this knowing it would be terrible in the box as a slick champion. It was pretty overstable and felt like a lid in the hand. I like the feel. I really like the feel. I have even putted with it and in the box not so terrible. I ordered a new wiz anyway in premium for box putts.
